Will save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

His mind a chaotic scene already, Lough grits his teeth and avoids most of the pain.

"Your underlings didn't want my offering! Maybe you want to get a closer look?"

He raises his shield and charges straight for the leading ghoul. Menacing them with the gleaming metal fist!

How do you want to redirect the attacks? Leechy can go to Yellow or Leader, and same goes for Cherry Berry's spell.

Spoiler:

Cherry Berry:
Oh yeah, the leader is definitely stronger than the normal Ghouls. Their DCs are a bit higher and have some Occult spells available to them. But most importantly, this one seems to be carrying two hunks of meat on a necklace. You think they can eat one hunk of flesh as one action to heal themselves for a little bit. Not as much as a regular Heal would do, but still, it could be important.
(Also, all Ghouls with robes have these hunks of flesh, not just this leader, just letting you know. Oh yeah, there'll be more. :P)

Yep! Also note that in this edition, you both hurt the undead and heal the living at the same time (in PF1, you did either, not both)! The three-action Heal isn't as effective as the two-action version, but with weaklings such as these, it could make a decent dent in their HP.

Also note though, the two-action version to harm an undead only does the d8, you don't add the static damage on top of it. The +8 is only when you're helping, not hurting.

Kvit: I don't see a movement speed restriction on Illusory Creature, so I guess you can move it as much as you want, as long as you keep it believable.

Cherry Berry zaps the leader and Yellow with electricity, while Kvit sends his illusion after Yellow as well. The leech chomps down hard on the ghoul, and yells out in pain. Lough stoically walks forward to intercept anyone who passes him.

Reflex Yellow: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Yellow ghoul does not like Leechy at all and flees from it, preferring to snack on Lough instead. It goes to flank with the leader, provoking from Lough. Lough pounds it into the ground, and it doesn't rise anymore.

@GM Lough does have a bonus to will saves versus fear. But I think mechanically it doesn't work in this case since the command was to "fall prone", not to "be scared". But please take that into account if it makes sense to you.

You have time to check things out while Kka is treating everyone. You find some first editions and obscure books, but without talking to a connoisseur, it's difficult to gauge if these books are actually worth anything. As said earlier, the books are a total chaos, so it doesn't seem like they kept any kind of system or order of importance/relevance.

Kka goes down the hallway far enough to look around the corner and see the stairs heading down. In a deadpan voice, she says, "Whaat a shocker! Caan you believe it? The trail leads downstairs." She then returns to the room. "Well, we've found a waay down, but now isn't the time to check it out; we've got too much left to do up here."

She mulls her mental map for a moment, then heads over to the big double doors to the north. "Looks like we've split this floor into two sections. Let's clear out the northern one first." She then checks the doors out for traps and locks.

While she waits for Lough to open the doors, she says, "Staay on your toes everyone; we haavn't seen the end of the ghouls yet." She jerks her head towards the boss ghoul they'd just killed. "Thaat one said something about a High Priestess caalled Nhakazarin, so I expect we'll run haave to deal with her at some point."

Kvit's face falls as the door reveals another set of stairs. "But- What- Bah. How far does this place go down? Considering we seem to be meeting more dangerous things as we go down, I'm with Kka and Cherry on this. We can't afford to go chasing it down more without taking care of the rest of the ghouls. The last thing I want is to be stuck between whatever is below us and the ghouls as we try escaping in an emergency."

Kvit considers the area to cover and agrees with Kka. "North first."

Slides Loot sheet

Kka checks the northern door for traps and finds none. Lough pushes open the door. I've moved people a little.

Soft light illuminates several display cases in this vast room. Once used to display books, the cases stand smashed and empty. Along the curved north wall stands a hideous, towering figure of a woman. The form is composed of hundreds of portions of stitched‑together flesh from a variety of different creatures and draped in tattered, filthy sheets. The stench of rot from the statue fills even this large room.

Because of all the light, it's normal brightness down here.

A female ghoul is tending to the flesh-statue at the other end of the room. She turns around as you open the door and says with a sigh, "I presume from all the noise that you're not here to talk? I want to assure you, we mean you no harm. If you surrender your gear and allow yourself to be infected with ghoul fever, you'll have a high rank within our cult, just under my command. Together we'll serve Lady Belcorra and continue our glorious studies in the afterlife, forever. If you refuse, I'm afraid I'll have to kill you, because I don't think you'll leave us be. Right?

She grins an ominous smile, flashing several rotten teeth.

Kka sees the new female ghoul and raises a hand. "No, no, don't tell me, let me guess. You're the High Priestess caalled Nhakazarin that your, um... ex minion here mentioned earlier, am I right?"

After the priestess makes her pitch, Kka replies. "As tempting as your deal sounds, I think we'll paass. The sooner you and your precious Laady Belcorra head off to the Boneyard, the better for the rest of us." She then grips her sword and advances menacingly into the room.

I moved Kka one square into the room, which along with her words should trigger the start of the encounter.

Botting Lough

Lough lifts his arm to show the (most likely) infected bite. "See? Already infected. Plus I'm afraid the king of the mitflits is not interested in surrending to the queen of the ghouls."

Slides Loot sheet

The priestess cackles as she hears you're already infected. "Excellent, now then, let's hasten the process a little bit!"

As she laughs, she draws her staff and a purple glow starts to surround her, clearly empowering her. No mechanical effect, just flavour.

Woo! Kka gets the drop on the bad guys! Surprise Attack time. But Nhakazarin's +14 for Initiative is a little worrisome.

Kka wastes no more time with pleasantries and charges the priestess while the ghoul is otherwise occupied with her staff. She trails her shortsword behind her as she approaches the foul creature and when she has the priestess within reach, whips her weapon around in a long wide arc and slices it through her opponent. Without slowing down, the rogue turns and runs straight back to where she started, putting as much distance between herself and the ghoul.

Too bad the damage rolls were so sucky, but that should at least give us some idea of what we're up against.

Aah, that's why you stepped forward. To get to her in exactly 1 movement. :P
Also, where does that extra +1 come from? Or is that because of your +1 weapon?

Nhakazarin grunts in surprise as Kka's blade sinks into her abdomen. Crit, just because of the flat-footed condition.

"Urgh. You don't get the glory of joining the Cult of the Canker. I'm going to enjoy eating you alive," she says to Kka as she takes several steps forward. She casts a spell and suddenly, an absolutely deafening screech fills the room. A Sound Burst on the intersection between Kvit, Giyozara, and Lough. I think I get everyone with that.

That is deeply disappointing. Everyone may make me a DC 22 Fortitude save to resist the effects of the Sound Burst.

Her worst save, sigh!

Kka is unprepared for the assault and it hits her with full force; the pain is excruciating. Her ears are ringing and she is temporarily deafened by the sound.

Kka takes 6 HP of sonic damage and is deafened 1. I'll wait to post my next turn to give everyone a chance to catch up and hopefully Lough (or anyone really) will position himself to give Kka some flanking for her next attack.

Hey, not a crit fail for once!

Giyozara will cast shield and then True Strike on the priestess

Slides Loot sheet

Giyozara, True Strike is until the end of your turn. You can't "load it" for the next round. Also, you're deafened, which means casting spells with the Verbal component (nearly all spells, I think) get a flat check or are lost.
