Decended from Vudrani sailors who settled in Absolom, Giyozara has always been obsessed with the Roseguard. Despite all evidence to the contrary, Giyozara does not believe he is a Draconic sorcerer, but rather some new bloodline that involves 'ki magic.' He points to minor inconsistancies in his biology such as the fact that he has sylph heritage but his draconic powers manifested as a sea dragon, though most simply think that he's read to many works of fiction to think straight.
Regardless, Giyozara has come to believe that there are secrets to his 'new' bloodline in the depths of some of the ruins in the Isle of Kortos. He believes it is his destiny to follow up on the deeds of the Roseguard by delving into these decrepit ruins and finding this lost lore, so he can bring it to the rest of the world and not only show how awesome the Roseguard were, but also that he was right and that his powers are not draconic in nature.
And so recently he has moved to Otari to be closer to the Roseguard and do more research. He has quickly fallen in love with both the local library and bookstore, but has also made an unlikely friend in Wrin Sivinxi. This Elf/Tiefling has been willing to entertain Giyozara's wile theories about a 'ki magic' bloodline, and has even managed to procure a book or two for the young gnome.
