Trass watches Chance fall to the ground and Kaitlyn tending to him. Figuring he might need more aid, Thrass walks back, withdraws a potion, and gently feeds it to Chance.
"Chance, impressive how you managed to distract the stink-beasts. That takes courage. Let me repay the favour."

Kaitlyn steps up to the slime and unleashes a pair of strikes at it.
Kaitlyn promptly ends the existence of the ooze.
Btw, I posted earlier that Kat takes a piece of cloth and wraps it over her nose and mouth. Did that help at all with the stench?
I did not grant any mechanical benefit for the action. I am not aware of an express mechanic that covers the use of a scarf and I did not think it would much impact the outcome of the battle anyways.
With the otyughs and ooze slain, Chief Yiddlepode and Trapmaster Tok each emerge from behind the barricade.
"Thank you! Thank you, Pathfinders!" the two kobolds cry in profuse appreciation, before being escorted away by a young kobold attempting to treat their wounds.
Shortly thereafter, as the kobolds cheer and poke at the deceased otyughs, Drandle Dreng and Dragonspeaker Engashez arrive from an adjacent tunnel.
"The loss to the Sewer Dragon tribe is great," Dreng acknowledges, "but that loss would have been much, much greater if not for your quick and skillful intervention, Pathfinders. The remainder of the tunnels are secure, at least for now."
Well done, we are just about wrapped up, save for a little roleplaying.
Please follow instructions for completing info for a chronicle posted in Discussion thread.

'I'm glad things have worked out ok for you. I'm pleased to have met you all and I hope I can work with those of you who are Pathfinders again. Maybe in the forests instead?' Cate smiles at her own 'joke'.

although, I suppose realistically, its smell is not likely to improve with death
Maybe not moving around will prevent the stench from moving around? Like a fan would.
I also like the idea of the foul breath.
The catfolk wakes up as the combat is over, healed by his companions. He grabs his rapier that fell on the floor looking over any remnant of sewage “I almost got myself killed by that creature. I still don’t feel good”. He grabs a handkerchief to clean his blade. “Almost dying in the sewers, that’s probably the worst thing that happened to me. I might have to change nickname, but it was always more about gambling than luck. I need to seek medical aid, but I’ll go take a bath first to get rid of all that fetid smell.”
To Caitlin, he replies “I’ll take a forest over any sewers. Unless there’s a dirty river in it.”

Thrass nods in agreement with Chance. "Or squirrels."
With a wistful look, he unties his remaining fish and is about to dump them in the filthy water. At the last moment, he has a change of mind and turns towards the kobolds. "It's not much, but maybe these fish will make for a meal of remembrance and celebration for those who did make it."
"Maybe wash them, first."
He hoists Chance up and lets him lean on him during the trek back. "Your name still holds up, I think. I mean, grabbed by two stink-beasts and still alive? Seems like someone is looking out for you, after all."

Kaitlyn looks at Thrass with what could only be awe. "You killed two of the beasts," she breathes, "I only hope I can be that skilled in time."
She looks around, a bewildered look crossing her face. "Are my eyes deceiving me or was there a tall gentleman behind us before? A tall man with silver hair and a beard?"
She crosses over to the other side of Chance and helps Thrass with the wounded Pathfinder. "We should work together again. I would love to learn some of those techniques. Those will be beneficial in combat."
Crazy sewer fight! Nice game all! I was actually planning to shove red into the spear trap if Thrass hadn't killed it.
GM, did both flurry of blows strikes hit? Just for my own personal curiosity -- because if they did, it will be the first time both strikes connected... I have another monk character and it took four combat encounters across two scenarios for me to hit something with my Dragon Tail attack!

Thrass blinks in confusion. "I just delivered the final blow. You all did the hard work. I'd say you're plenty skilled."

Alas, no. The injured otyugh had an AC of 17.

The tall man with silver hair and a beard, along with Dragonspeaker Engashez discuss recent events a bit further. It is clear from their exchange that the damage elsewhere in the tunnels is considerable. Whatever the construct was that began this calamity, neither of them can say for certain.
Objective The PCs fulfill their primary objective if they defeat
otyughs and rescue the Sewer Dragon kobolds. Doing earns each PC 1 Fame and 1 Reputation for any fact associated with their currently slotted faction boon.
Reporting Notes If the PCs save Pethjun, check box A.
Downtime is now handled by the players.
I will finish the chronicle sheets shortly and post the link to them in the Discussion thread.
Thanks for a fun quest! I look forward to sharing a table with each of you in the future!

The ooze. The only time I attacked the otyugh was when I threw a torch at it and used my sling. They definitely missed with my lousy die rolls

I was referring to Graham Silverlock. Since he started with us and had to be dropped. I just kinda folded it into the scene :)
