@cmlobue - Earth Elementals have tremor sense 60' so they can identify the square of anyone making contact with the ground. They also speak Terran (or can just point) to where our invisible assassin has sneaked off to. It is my opinion that a character will know the abilities of the creatures that they have summoned.

I will wait and see if the invisible enemy's location can be communicated before posting combat actions.
cmlobue
Sadaf and the elemental do not share a language, so you would need some way to indicate to it you want it to point out an invisible enemy.
Rogarch

That sounds very reasonable to me. This is why all my Druids speak Terran among other languages. I suppose a suitably high enough Performance - Act or Comedy could work as well to visually communicate the message in a compelling fashion.

Is it me or is the dice roller not happy with our party lately? :)

@cmlobue - I think that you are rolling a Will save for the enemy Cleric against her own channel. At least that is what it looks like to me. Generally Clerics can elect to include or exclude themselves from their own channels as they decide. Of course there might be something strange going on in the scenario that I do not know about but I thought I would let you know. :)
Also Rogarch is a young woman who prefers the traditional use of the pronoun "Her". I mention this as she is often referred to as a "Him" in the summary posts. :)
cmlobue
There is something weird going on, though it should not be happening yet. Thank you for pointing that out.
My apologies about Rogarch's pronouns.
cmlobue
At this point, the dangerous parts of the scenario are over and you are just presenting your findings, as well as any theories about who is responsible (which you may not have - this is not one of those scenarios where you are supposed to find the murderer).
However, Makras still has a condition that needs to be cleared. If you cannot find a way to do it in character, I need to know if you are using gold or prestige to do so. He needs both remove curse and remove disease.
You did meet the secondary success condition, but it was by the skin of your teeth. You needed 4 influence with three different merchants or 6 with one and 4 with another. You ended up with Pellius 6, Metella 5, Jakti 1, Doritannia 1 and Temel 0. If this looks odd, it is because Pellius automatically gets positive influence when Metella does unless you do one specific thing. I have to imagine that a lot of groups don't manage it.

Unless anyone happens to be a cleric, I'll plan to spend PP on the clearing spells. It may take multiple castings before they can get the necessary caster level check.
Rogarch

^Deal with curse first. Perhaps the GM will let you use your re-roll on the attempt which should give you a 75% chance of clearing it for a cost of 1 PP (Remove Curse CL 5. Assuming the standard Mummy Rot DC of 16).
Clearing the disease is relatively easy once the curse is lifted and we have a Druid that can prepare Cure Disease in the party. Not to mention your own ability to heal it naturally with long term care bonus added in. I would not pay for this unless you failed multiple days of Fortitude checks and many castings of Cure Disease which is extremely unlikely.
Rogarch

Please disregard the second paragraph of my last post. It is incorrect. You cannot heal naturally from Mummy Rot but the Druid can at least try to remove the disease magically. I am not sure if the CL 20 check (as it is a Healing (Conjuration) spell) is required before even attempting to make the CL check to overcome the disease or not.

Well, let's try a remove curse first (for 1 PP) and go from there.
Remove Curse: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Shirt reroll (if allowed)
Remove Curse: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

GM, for faction card goal purposes could you confirm whether or not any of the undead we fought were at least CR5, and whether or not the urgathoan cleric was at least CR5 please? (I suspect the answer is yes to both, but it's best to check).
cmlobue
Not sure if this is technically allowed, but we do it at my FLGS where two venture-whatevers play, so... GM's folio reroll plus two stars.
Remove Curse: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16
Now working with venture-whatevers to see how much pain we can remove from this process.

Having players pay for condition removal that may or may not work is a bit of a dodgy practice in the first place. Sure, you can roll it out if you are doing it yourself for free but if you pay prestige or gold you should be assured that it is going to work.
Just my 2 cents and definitely not the rules as written. :)

Prestige is really good and you might want to consider using it more. In fact at higher levels it is much more valuable than its gold equivalent. It is great to save some but spend some too.
Fun things you can do with it:
1) Buy 1st level wands or scrolls (5 X 2nd level, 2 X 3rd level or 1 4th level scrolls) or other consumable items.
2) Retraining - This is an addiction for me. Retraining of feats, spells known or even classes. Even more fun is extra hit points with hit point retraining.
3) Vanities - Buy a follower (like a Porter to carry your stuff or a Herald to announce your arrival) or a useful award like Master of Trade and save 10% off almost any purchase 1/adventure. This award really rocks!

@GM: Thanks--I've got plenty of prestige points, so no worries on that front. Should I just roll a handful of caster level checks and you can tell me if any hit the DC? And hey, with mummy rot, Makras has a new arrow in his quiver about how terrible life is :)

@ Lo Pei Spend spend spend!
@ Makras If you want to do that, it is fine. You can also have it cast at a higher CL to make the check easier if you want, but only with gold (30 x CL). Sadly, taking 10 is not allowed, or I'd just say to pay the 300 gp to make it a sure thing.

Heh. Thanks for the link. :)
I do occasionally spend 2 for a wand or potion. Otherwise I try to keep enough for a well timed raise dead or such.

Hm, maybe money is the way to go.
Let's try spending 300 gp for a CL10 casting of remove curse
remove curse @ CL10: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
And again!
remove curse@ CL10: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
A pesky curse. Makras' ale intake will have to be reduced.
remove curse @ CL10: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Hopefully that last one did the trick.

Makras finally finds a cleric who can remove his curse, and Sadaf can then clear the disease component.
Game is reported and chronicles sheets will be available within 24 hours. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

Definitely! Thanks GM! (and fellow players)

I am glad that Makras will make a full recovery to grouse another day. :)
Thanks cmlobue for being the GM. It is much appreciated!

Let me know if there are any problems. I'll be leaving the game up a couple days in case people have questions or want to roleplay a bit more.
