A bull rush maneuver moves you based on how much the attempt exceeded your CMD. Since it hit but didn't beat your CMD, you're moved the minimum distance. When fighting Admiral Thrune, you'd stayed around 25ft in the air, so I assumed you're doing the same thing here. XD

Even as he's moved backwards Elek finishes the second devil. Turning towards the helm, he calls down, "You want to move away from the Helm." Commanding the cursed prosthetic, " Zhuórè chōngjíbōa' he sends flame at the large wooden wheel, hoping his attack would either destroy the ships ability to be guided or at least get the attention of the captain.

As you set the sails ablaze, the captain steps out of his chambers and locks eyes with you. It's a face you haven't seen since you were a boy. Since your parents were murdered. Since your hand was taken. The captain holds a familiar saber. The same saber. He's aged since you last saw him, but the face is unmistakable. Captain Salisfer.

I think I've mentioned before that because I miscalculated bonus progression back at the start of the campaign, your feints are almost always going to succeed on anything above a nat1. XD

Wiping the blood from his mouth, Elek uses some of his prosthetic innate magic to heal some of the wound, as he considers what he knows about Salisfer's fighting style. Determined to see if the Captain can parry the sword as easily as the cannon. Moving in, Elek thrusts the estoc in a feint towards his Salisfer's shoulder, then turns it towards the mans chest.

13pts healing means you're still bleeding, yes.
You're certain that Salisfer is not a mage, which means his transformation has to have come from another means. His fighting style is that of a skilled duelist - likely from (I'm having a hard time finding the famous Chelaxian dueling school, but I know I've read about it before.)
Backing away so Salisfer can't attack while you cast your spell, you then lunge in. Your strike is poorly-aimed, unfortunately, and your foe easily dodges before retaliating with another slash.

Frustrated he's unable to strike the captain, Elek fails to dodge his enemies attack. Bleeding from the savage attack he decides to test his opponents abilities to see how best to continue. Ducking and rolling, he attempts to dodge any attacks as he flies away from the ship and nearer the water. Stopping a few feet above the waves he commands the ring to turn invisible.
So tumbling the first 10 ft to avoid an aoo, will fly down and away 40 ft. then turn invisible.

Watching for Salisfer to 'close the distance and attack' Elek is ready to parry the saber with his Estoc. "Blast." Frustrated both his feint and barrage failed, Elek fails to block the Captains cunning attack. Recieving a slash above the eyes, he starts to wipe the blood from his face. Unhappy with the wound and the difficulty it causing, he again tumbles back and away from his opponent. Having gained some distance he commands the ring to turn him invisible again.
Tumbling the first 10 ft to avoid an aoo, will fly back 40 ft. then turn invisible.

Having moved away from Salisfer, Elek feels the blood flowing above his eye, commanding the cursed prosthetic "Gēngshēn céngcì de zhìyù" he uses some of his prosthetic innate magic to heal some of the wound. After doing so, knowing the captain will focus in on the sound of his voice he moves twenty feet to the side, waiting for Salisfer to attack where he was.

Figured that was the case on the healing. It's disappointing that moving after he cast didn't throw Salisfer off. But this time he must move first to prevent the AOO while he's healing, and hope Salisfer misses his attack.

As you speak the healing invocation, Salisfer flies toward you, but you're far enough away to react before he gets close enough to attack.
In other words, he takes a double Move action to get adjacent to you.

Actually, the estoc and first two cannon shots hit, so I'm not going to roll to parry because....
You stab your opponent before darting back and fire a barrage. Salisfer deflects the first shot, but the next one strikes him and creates an explosion of fire! When it fades, you see the captain has shrunk back to his regular height and lost his devilish features. His saber no longer glows, and he looks fatigued. This doesn't deter him, though, and he quickly flies toward you and continues to attack!
Saber: 1d20 + 28 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 28 - 1 = 42 Damage: 1d6 + 10 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 10 - 1 = 12
As usual, 7 bleed, and a matching penalty to attack rolls.

Pausing as Salisfer bursts into flames, Elek pauses wondering what devilish agreement the man had made for that to be his ending. Shaking his head he remembers his fleet is in a battle they must win. Pausing he looks to the Dominator' to see if the ship was still listing away from the fleet. Then looking towards the Abrogail's Fury to see if it had remained out of the fight. Finally he looked towards the 'chain' that had connected the ships. Looking towards the Chain, trying to identify it source.

From your elevated position, you have an excellent view of the battlefield. The Dominator continues to slowly drift away from the fleet. Abrogail's Fury, however, appears to have reentered the fray under the command of one of the lesser officers. As for the mysterious chain binding the Chelish ships together, it appears to have grown thicker - despite remaining insubstantial. Each time a Chelish ship is rendered inoperable, its chain vanishes. The linked ships, however, move in eerie precision, unaffected by the winds you've conjured.
Many of the Shackles vessels have been destroyed, and most of the others have sustained at least some damage. Things are beginning to look grim.

Did the fleet obey his command and disperse so they were spread out and harder targets?
"Blast!" Cursing the 'Fury' for reentering the combat, Elek notes that as chelish ships that were inoperable were unchained from the others. Realizing he had no definite way of dealing with the chain, he turned and searched the horizon for the 'Banshee's Revenge.'
How far is the 'Revenge'? I figure he'll fly there and ask his officers if they know what is causing the chain and if they know how to get rid of it. But knowing something may try and prevent him from getting there, we'll start with how far away it is, then he will head that direction.

As per your orders, the Shackles ships have spread out. This makes them harder to target, but as an individual Chelish warship is more powerful than an individual Shackles vessel (with a few exceptions), they're still struggling.

Your battle with Salisfer ranged far and wide, and you've become somewhat separated from the engagement as a whole. The Revenge is around 1.3 miles south of your current position.
Which sounds like a lot until you remember that a fleet battle is measured in leagues. XD

As you near the Revenge, you can see that no Chelish ships (or devils) are nearby for the moment. It's taken a fair bit of damage - including a hit below the waterline - so that's a good thing.
