Oh yeah, Lolo's definitely a hunter and spends a lot of time looking at streets, buildings, entries, exits, etc. So I think that works.

So, Lolo often carries two guns, John Woo movie-style. The thing Lolo would do now would be just to take the gun with her other hand and shoot the lady. In keeping with the scene, she's going to go for the Grinder's leg.

My experience in GMing BitD is that players will gladly - joyfully, even - heap troubles upon themselves that even I as the GM might have hesitated to inflict upon them. It seems that holds true even in PbP, where you have time to reflect on what you are doing to yourself ;)

Onto dwontime again! Everyone needs to do their XP, i saw Jonah has done it already.

Rember you get 2 dwontime actions. I'm thinking of chaning it up a bit though becuase otherwise it's always going to be remove stress and heal up - especily Fin, as the cutter he's going to be the one getting into fights.

Let me know what you think of the following:

REMOVE STRESS: if you spend a downtime action to indulcge your vice, you clear all stress you built up. This isn't a horror type game where resources slowly die away and you have to make do. If you don't spend a downtime action to indulge your vice, you go down to 2 stress - that way you still have some capacity for your next score but you are not at full strenght. Obviously if you are at less than 2 stress (hahaha) you stay at whatever it was.

HEAL: You can take a downtime action to remove harm as per RAW. Otherwise you can heal normally and we jsut say that x amout of time has gone by before you are ready for your next score. That way you won't be doing as many scores per year, so less gold, but you will be nearer to full strength.

In this case, given all teh harm you have taken in this score I would say it's going to be 6 weeks before you're ready for your next score, but all your harm would be cleared. If you want it to go faster tahn that, you can use your downtime actions to heal up.

Sounds good GM. one question about healing. What if some folks want to heal and others don't? Do only some folks go on the next score?

EDIT: OK, XP triggers:

Used her personal XP triggers (violence or hunting) a lot to resolve issues this score (2 xp)

Played up on her heritage (1 xp)

Total of 3 xp for the session.

Do we have to spend XP before the next score, I can I "bank" them for later?

Not sure if that would be another Study roll or if you want something else for the next phase? Perhaps Attune or Tinker to try out some of the rituals or devices he studied in the library before?

My 2 pence on your proposed changes: bearing in mind they favour me as the person who's most likely to take harm from fights and/or take stress trying to avoid harm from said fights, I quite like that idea of trading time for healing. But I would echo Lolo's question : what happens if half the group don't want to wait for the cutter to heal up before getting back out there to earn coin?

I like your proposed fix to the stress thing, that really does free up a downtime action.

However, I would be inclined to keep healing from harm as per RAW, with the proviso that you need to be clear what harm actually needs healing (e.g. "Shaken/Frightened" is unlikely to need a doctor in order to clear up over the course of downtime). I think if you give us the ability to start each score with stress at zero (or 2) then it will be easier to Resist harm that comes our way. I get what you say about this not being a horror game; but if we automatically start each score with zero stress and zero harm, it feels a bit "sandboxy" (which is totally a word).

I have a nasty feeling I don't get much XP from the score we just did!

Personal XP triggers (violence/coercion): some. 1 XP

Heritage? It came up a bit. 1 XP

Struggled with issues from vice/trauma: not really. 0 XP

2 XP total. I'll put them towards a new special ability, now at 3/8.

I can't do what you have with CotCT, and run a bunch of mini advnentures. I'm going to take Fin's suggestion and stick with RAW for healing, but keep my house rule on stress. If you put a downtime action into indulging yuour vice then you clear all stress, oetherwise you can reduce it back to 2.

In terms of natural healing:

*Fin's stab wouldn needs proper medical atention to heal, as does Cas.

*Teh 2-harm Electroplasmic shock will go down to 1-harm "electorplasmic burns" at the start of your next score, no action needed.

*Jonha's Dazed will clear completely, no action needed.

Casia's going to insist that both she and Fin seek out medical attention for their injuries.

Well ... She'll insist that he seek out medical attention for his stab wound and an argument will ensue wherein he'll point out that she still suffers tremors from the shock and should be treated as well. She'll deny it. He'll suggest that perhaps then the tremors are due to her drinking. She'll then concede to see a physician if he will.

Action 1) Heal Injury

Action 2) Indulge in her preferred recreational activity.

If we are using the GM's houserule, then all your stress clears automatically. No roll needed.

Question is, are we continuing on? Just checking because things have been quiet for a while.

Aaand we are live again! The last month+ has been horrible, but is over I hope.

1st things 1st, your crew gest XP as well for the last score

exacute a successful operation: yes, until Lolo went back and all hell broke loose but that'a another story. 1 XP

Challenges above your current station: the Grinders aren't the touhgest but I'll give you 1 xp for that

Bol;ster your crew's rep or gain a new one: yes, daring and "leave no one behind" mentality. 1 XP

Express goals/dives/conflict/inner nature of the crew. Lots of good RP there, 2 XP

5 XP total to do what you want with. Note this is *spearate* from your personal XP, it goes on the Crew sheet.

Next, payoff.

You get 1 Coin each, as per agreed with Lyssa. She's not that happy how it played out in teh end, but we'll get to that.

You get 3 Rep (added to the sheet). One more score and you'll be Tier 1!

The score weas low exposure apart from teh last bit, which techincally wasn't the score as such. You get 1 Heat for operating on hostile turf and another 2 heat for Lolo killing someone. That's enough to put you into WAnted level 1, but your Heat resets down to almost zero.

@Jonah/Casia - Sigh. Finraeth is (or aspires to be) a gentleman, which means among other things a certain amount of discretion in matters pertaining to the opposite sex. He'd (almost) certainly not do something as vulgar as PDA in company.

Besides, it's barely two days since he was stabbed - the only thing he's fingering right now are the fresh stitches in his side. Which reminds me, I need to look up how the rules work for healing in this game.

Casia wouldn't know whether he was engaging in a PDA or not because, as stated, she's very actively not watching him and Lolo. ;P ;)

For healing, we'll be doing a Recover action and we'll need to know the quality of the healer. Each fill of a Healing clock reduces the level of harm by one. (1-3: one segment, 4-5: two segments, 6: three segments, Crit: five segments)

Hi all, I've just heard from Sarah and she's back in hospital (complications from her accident last year). She should be fine but they've been keeping her in for observation to make sure she recovers. I'm not sure when she'll be back to posting.

Hello all

Well *that* turned out to be unpleaesant. One of the ribs I broke last yuear re-broke and punctured my lung, thankfully my bf was around and drove me straight to hosipital. Trhow in a post-op infecton, some stupid-powerful antibiotics and painkillers and I'm up and about again, but stil moving slowly.

Are you all still around? If you want to pick this up again, I'm happy with that, it will give me something to do. But I understand if it's died a death in my abscence.

that's a nice way of putting it! It's been a long few weeks. It loks like we have a majority in favouor of continuing so I will get us mving on Monday. One thing I fogot to say that might be importatnt is that Downtime is mostly about roleplaying the entanglements you run into, not about making action rolls.
