STORY
--------------------

Casia is the fourth generation of a family that has a long history in the import trade. Her brother went off to university when he reached the appropriate age, their father wanted the family to achieve higher. Unbenowst to either her or her brother, the majority of the families' business was actually in smuggling.

In her naivete she didn't question the attention the attractive and well-spoken Desmona paid her. Flattered and entirely smitten, she never noticed that all that they talked about was Casia's family and the business details she knew. When she finally began asking questions it was too late; Desmona had enough secrets and privileged info to pass along to her compatriots. Enough information, in fact, to burn the business to the ground. In the fallout, Casia's father's accidental death in the final raid was enough to destroy any faith Cas had in happy endings. With nothing to show for her name now other than a mother that blames her for everything and a brother that most likely resents her for having to leave his beloved university, Casia is attempting to make her way in the world in the best way she knows how - using only the tools the gods have given her.

As fraternal twins, Casia and her brother Finraeth were about as close as two people could possibly be. They even survived the trauma of separate rooms imposed upon them at the onset of puberty. In spite of being closer than the average person would consider appropriate for siblings, they haven't gone as far as some deviant minds might assume.

It has yet to be seen whether that closeness has survived their brief separation. There was a disagreement about expectations on the night Fin left for university. Demands were made and refused, accusations flung, and words that shouldn't have been said can now never be taken back.

Fin returned in time for their father's funeral, but in spite of them now residing together in a shared miniscule flat, the guilt of her failure and the sting of painful words still lies between them.
