If you'r climing then I would suggest a group action - someone needs to lead and takes stress for eveyone who fails, but as long as *one* of you succeeds on the roll then the group succeeds.
If you have climbing gear I'll give you +1 dice for that but it takes up some of your precious gear slots - you picked a light load so you only have 3 slots each.

Heh. That might work, if you've got the right gear, but genraly speaking it needs a rituale to trap a ghost - protective circle, time, that sort of thing. Trying to do it on the fly is going to be tough - at the very least you'd need a spirit bottle. Spirit mask and lightnig hook would help, too. All of that adds up to 3 load, adn because you took a light load that means not carrying anything else (liek a weapon).
It's not oging to be a single Action roll, either. It's probly a 4-clock at a Desperate position, so lots of things could go wrong. On the other hand, if it *works* then you potentially have something very useful indeed :)

Depending on the effect of Fin's Command, I could try and Compel it to give it another task. If possible, something like 'Place this stone beneath the third apple tree on the south side of the Imperial Governor's secret garden.' That should keep it busy for long enough for us to complete our task and get out again. But I'll wait and see what happens.

Jonah's reminded me - you didn't mention the Compel ability that he has. Would that help at all, if we wanted to trap it in a spirit bottle?
I had frogoten about the Compel ability - ok, I'll allow it, if only because trying to trap him in a bottle is jsut *cooler* tahn sending him away to plant rocks under a tree.

Okay, well here's an Attune roll. I guess I'm carrying a spirit bottle, spirit mask, and lightning hook. Let me know if that gives me a bonus die or not.

No bonus dice this time - the spirit bottle is what gieves you "permission" to try this at all, and the ligthnig hook means your position goes from Desperate to Risky. The spirit mask protects you (a bit) from the consequences.
Speaking of which - this is a bold move and it has big risks. *Everyone* takes Level 2 Harm electroplasmic shock as the ghost thrashes against the lightnhing hook before being caught in the bottle. You can resist down to level 1 Harm with Resolve.
Jonah - you take LEvel 1 Harm rather than level 2, and you cen resist down to nothing with Resolve. Thank your sprit mask :)

@everyone - you seem to be measuring stress in 2 diferent ways, either starting at 9/9 and counting down, liek hit points, or starting at 0/9 and working up, like insanity/corrption. I have trouble with reading at teh best of times so could you please have a talk among you and decide on which way you're goiing to do it? Thanks in advance :)

GM: can I flashback to getting a design layout of this house? Knowing where we're supposed to be going (the main bedroom) would be quite handy.

Thta would work. it's a general town house and the plans for taht sort of thing should be available. It's a zero stress flashback, but in order to get tehem in the timeframe you want, you need to bribe someone - you can either pay 1 coin (outright bribery) or pay 2 Reputaton (represents the Dusk Mites cashing in favours).
It's controlled, so im' going to say that the complication on your roll is that you realise the attic space is only connected to the rest of teh house by a trapdoor - no stairs.

I'm thinking Jonah sticks with Lolo to let Casia and Fin who are better at Prowling actually get the knife in place. Based on the plans the room isn't far away, so we can get there quick if it all goes bad. At least that's my initial thought.
