**HOUSE GM ANNOUNCEMENT**

The ritual is a success and Gregaro Voth is free! The demiplane can’t control him any longer.

GMs, the Gregaro Voth Free condition on page 18 is in effect.

Suddenly, there is a strange shaking, like an earthquake rippling through the ground and air alike. The plants in the demiplane begin to grow and change. Oraiah Tolal calls out, “They’re here! The Thorned Monarch has arrived in the demiplane! And they’re not alone. We have an invasion to fight!”

GMs, this is your 1-day warning. Please wrap up your current encounters and prepare to move to Part 3.

Roumatha has a moment where he almost goes into the field of flowers next to some invisible humming thing, but ultimately shakes off the influence.

Finally Phillipton sits Max down and treats him to a series of mentally soothing wines, cheeses and other sundry finger foods, smoothing over the mental damage that the rogue took from that leprechaun illusion.

The two spell casters of the party both drop spells on the two unlucky things that didn't hide themselves well. Philipton's sound burst washes over both with a wave and neither is ready for the grating noises, wailing in pain as some blood trickles from their ears.

He then casts a small dazing spell on the little thing in white. Distracted by the mushroom and the sound wave it has no mental barriers and falls over, dead.

Teja prepares to engage the enemy as she tries to recall what she knows about them. She has no clue what the little things are, but she does know that the big one is a grimstalker, one of the more aggressive and querulous fey. They like to hang out near the edges of forests on the Material Plane and kill people who defile the nature there. They are known for stringing the heads of their victims up as warnings and for spreading the seeds of various carnivorous plants at the edges of their territory, and sometimes even in farms and fields in an attempt to make the places impossible to farm. The creature is also known for his sap that is poisonous to mammals that makes its victims clumsy and slowly kills them over time.

Even though Teja doesn't recognize the small fey, Roumatha is intimately familiar with them. These are Jinkins, small gremlin fey that love to tinker with things and ultimately curse them. They travel in packs and like to ambush people in large groups, it's pretty unusual you only found 2... He gives a shout of warning that they might not be the only ones around, gearing everyone to be extra cautious. That was a critical success. Everyone has an additional +1 vs. the jinkins for one round.

Roumatha is partially proven right as a small form with Yellow dyed ears pops up next to the grimstalker and scurries behind the wall to approximately where the cleric is. He then tries to burry himself into the brush again, but fails to avoid Phillipton's piercing eyes.

The butler is also able to see another jinkin with red spikes accidentally pop out of the brush to take a look around and then quickly dives back under the foliage. As it does so the prescence of a third creature is given away as a twig snaps near the cleric. Their last known locations are on the map with a transparent image. Both of them are Hidden

The nearly dead fey with Black eye liner runs past Roumatha and skitters next to a halt in front of Hoartio and takes two slashes at him with his small shortsword. He gets two deep stab wounds that seem extra deadly from the threat of another hiding behind him. Luckily the creatures are pretty weak. 7 slashing damage to Phillipton, 4 of which was from a Crit

Some questions:

Does Oskar's Wildwood Halfling heritage allow him to navigate the wall of thorns without penalty?

Are the brown squares on the map water? Is there any movement penalty for moving through them?

Does Oskar "know" the last position of the jinkins as marked on the map, or would the wall of thorns have prevented him from seeing them? i.e. if he moves around or through the wall, can he target their area without it being metagaming?

Teja: Failing that first save does make you clumsy two but saving versus the second puts you at stage 2 and Clumsy one. However, both stages deal another 1d6 poison damage, putting you at 0 and Dying 1 for the first and then Dying 2 for the second, unless I'm missing something in the rules about poison (which I sincerely hope I am). You can use your hero point to recover if you wish though.

Teja has a moment where her eyes gloss over from the poison and she takes a stab at a small tree that looks similar enough to the stalker. She pierces through it but then falls to the ground, her breathing extremely unstable.
