Seggas was initially built for a run of a repeatable that was supposed to be silly/over the topness (She replaced the engineering station on a starship with a biological creature that slowly took over the console for an example.) I love playing her cause she is just crazy, but if you want a more serious tone, let me know I can tone down her antics or change up characters as well.

I've been throwing GM credits at this PC so she's actually Level 3, not 1 as in the profile and hi Skorp, when I saw your name up I knew I had to bring Celly.

And hello Seggas. Please, be as silly as you like. Celly's flatmate is also a tiefling and a fellow dancer. Unfortunately Amy is currently busy (a pbp of 1-16) but it would be nice if those two PCs play together again.

Tariana - Bladedancing? Celly would give that a go - especially in zero-gee.

What is the reason why we are starting later than the convention itself?

The scenario isn't going to be released until then I believe. It's a February release, if I'm not mistaken. Gives us plenty of time to get to know each other, form rivalries, build friendships, find and fall in love, propose, plan a wedding and get married.

It's not stupid and a perfectly valid question. Don't worry, the only reason I knew was because Shifty asked about running new scenarios that released a little later than the start date in the Outpost announcement thread.

All good - yes it was because the scenario drop date was not for a while. The hassle is that the most recent drops are part of their respective series, not standalone. I asked if we could hold out for the shiny new cool content.

If you guys are SUUUUPER bored I am fine with running some of the repeatable quests until game time. You'd probably get a few segments done - eg Into the Unknown, Withering World, Dreaming of the future.

Ohh that is tempting... Seggas has done ashes of discovery (though I think that's just a flat scenario, not a quest), but otherwise I'd be okay with that.

Withering World is on Celly's Todo list. She's done all the others.

We could probably put a fair dent in Withering World.

While I would really enjoy running a Quest, we are missing a teammate.

I'm willing to do Withering World, it's one that Skorpy hasn't done.

Lighthacker/Dhony said he'd check in tonight and weigh in on his willingness to do the quest also. I know his character hasn't done Withering World.

However, I have to address the impact it could have on the main scenario. Both of our characters are at 5 XP, so if a quest was done for 1 XP, they'd need to level up before we could start Clone Wars Batch. (Sorry, someone had to make the reference.)

We'd just need to plan a day or two gap for Shifty to issue chronicles and for those us that need to level up to have time to do so.

Heya, only suggesting it as people seemed like they were fidgety and we have a few weeks, and on the basis that it was an easy win - if it will complicate matters I'm cool with just parking it :)

Hi all! Sorry I'm late! Work just starting back up after a stressful little hiatus. Thank you dad / nomadical for the intro and the help getting set up! Im still a PBP newbie (this is only my second game) but I'll try hard to keep up and contribute how I can.

Day job Roll: Profession ("Laundromat Manager") covers Dhony's, you know, very legitimate work in his off-time. yes, he has a rank in profession ("Laundromat manager"), and yes, it should give you a sense of his character
Boons: probably none, but if the mission brief calls for anything I got, ill throw in.

if botting ever has to occur, Dhony carries a pistol for every occasion and sleight-of-hand trick-attacks with them whenever possible. Help yourself to grenades with quick draw if needed too.

And sure, im happy to do a shorter scenario in the meantime if yall like! If the level-up in the middle doesn't mess up the paperwork too much, im all for it!

Now that everyone is here, I think the only concern is stopping a quest halfway through, since once you leave, you can't go back.
Would it be possible to quickly run through that quest and then take on the clones?

I'd be down for going through a quest quickly first, if everyone is okay with that that is.

Sure, we can do as much of a quest as possible. I just wanted everyone to understand that it's possible that when Skorpy & Dhony level, and if we then get a 6th sign-up before Clones drops, we could end up in the high tier.

I don't have any issue with only doing part of the quest pack.

It was this scenario and the offering of Perplexity that hit 6 sign ups super quick - so our 6th player should be joining us soon.

I'm fine with running some quest content in the meantime, but looking at the Withering World I reckon thats a good 5 weeks in length (5 quests, one involves Starship combat) if we tried to pack it all in - unless everyone is super regular at posting.

What I am super keen to avoid is a player getting annoyed that the start date kicked back further (as they may have other plans). If no one is fussed and you are all happy to do the double then I am happy to run it.

The Quest in question is Withering World which is a 1-4. The other thing is just making sure you don't hit 5 by accident and level yourself out of clone batch.

Seggas is okay with a delayed start, and I'd try to stay directly on top of posting with her. Also she has one xp, no way is she out leveling anything.

I'll try to post as fast as I can if we do although I'm going to be away for a week but where I'm staying does have an internet connection - or I can use my phone as a hotspot so I should be fine.

Celly only just reached third but hasn't played at that level yet. Does this still mean she can purchase Tier-3 items? I presume so.

If you are level 3 then you can purchase T3 items. Whether she has played or not, she's still L3.

I think you count yourself as the more advantageous of the two levels when you level a character up but haven't played them at that level yet. Or at least it works that way for the first level rebuild.

@Shifty - if you find yourself lacking a player at this game (highly unlikely) I have a level 1 that I can get involved (without violating the limit of this PBP event ;))

In any case, enjoy your game @all and beware of the drop bears! They are particularly deadly at Shifty's tables

Seeing that out 6th player has yet to show their hide, there's a possibility that there will be an opening Farol. Also Seggas has never had the delight of encountering a drop bear but Ceolor, Oraeus and Vyviane have all faced their terrors before.

The 6th player has pinged me to let me know they are having the login error, I have sent them back the details on how to clear the cookies/cache.

Hopefully, they get it solved :)

@Shifty, Istilnar is in your current game of Illegal Shipment, but I just signed him up for this one since there was an open spot on the sign up sheet. Is there a different player you were saving the spot for?

Hrmm, we were waiting for someone who was having troubles with signing in after that power outage last month, but it seems they removed their names from the list? Shifty would know more, as they had bene in contact outside the boards here.

There was a 6th player who we have been waiting on, and I had correspondence with them because the Paizo forums were punting them off continually and they were unable to log in - I sent them the clear cookies/cache solution, but did not hear back. It does appear they have subsequently /deleted themselves.

Farol (above) had also come in to put a dibs in for a spot on the table.

Clearly there is a demand for this scenario - I will go back to the Orgs and see if they are ok with me adding another table, as I am keen to find homes for people rather than have people dip out.

We're starting later today I think. The scenario should release in the next hour or two if Paizo is staying consistent with it's timing. Not sure if scenario support will drop when the scenario becomes available, though.

Im tracking that it is probably looking at one sleep to go (for me) at this point - drops haven't come in. The upside is that as a VC I am not waiting on someone to then manually drop them for con support.

Yay Venture Captain Status. Not sure about scenarios but for the normal rulebooks (someone is waiting on the ancestry guide) they generally start selling PDFs within a few minutes of Midnight in Seattle (which used to be 4 PM in Japan, but is now 5 PM thanks to Daylight Savings [or lack thereof right now]). It might drop in 30 minutes or so.
