Argh, I forgot to put the ♢s in Jack♢'s name! I'd prefer everyone address him as Jack♢ whenever possible. Alternatives are Jack of Diamonds, J♢, or some other such variation.

On one hand, having your arms ripped off. On the other, gold. It's a coin flip at that point.

Favorited for "délicieux". How do you even come up with this stuff?

It helps to speak French and thus recognize when the equivalent French words are close enough to the English to be substitutable. I'm also a big fan of the old Pink Panther movies, so when putting together the dialog for Mimi, I try to channel Peter Sellers talking like Inspector Clouseau.

My French is a bit rusty ... Bouteille = Bottle?

And how does one type a diamond symbol?

Yep, Bouteille = Bottle. If you're asking though, then it's not as obvious a substitution as I'd hoped for. Perhaps "bottel" works better.

As far as Jack♢ is concerned, I just cut and paste his name from his own posts.

I found the same thing when I went looking for someone strong to open the crate. That why I decided to see if Mimi could do it.

It appears that the tiger claw attack from Tiger Stance has the agile, finesse, nonlethal, and unarmed traits. In particular, the agile trait states that MAP is -4/-8, not -5/-10. Not that it matters for this turn, but it might make all the difference in the future.

Cool sword cane and dueling cape combo there, Makai. What style of Swashbuckler are you? It doesn't seem to be listed on your profile. Mimi's a Wit.

Whoa! These guys are waaay more dangerous than they look. A +9 to hit and 1d4+3 damage is no simple bar fight with the locals. This is going to be a lot tougher than I expected.

Was the damage against Alexandr nonlethal? If not, then oof!

What door did we come through? This place seems to be on an island. I assume that we came over from the docks in some sort of boat. I'm thinking we may need to call an Uber to get out of here.

When I did this one, my PC went for the dock and swam off ... but I'm going to say there's a bridge in the north east corner connecting that part of the island with the main part of Port Peril. I'll draw it on the map.

As for the lethal/non lethal thing - argh .. I was looking at the wrong tier .. that should have been +6 to hit for 1d4+1 piercing.

Yeah it felt cool. I need to update his profile. Makai is a Fencer which makes the cape fit as it adds +1 to Deception when doing Feint.

I find swashbuckler to have a bit too many options for his off-hand.

Dueling cape seems interesting +1 to AC, +1 to deception
Buckler gives +1 to ac (+2 with feat)
Main Gauche - or anything with parry for that matter that also gives +1 to AC
Dueling Parry (feat) gives you +2 to AC as long as you have offhand free

Out of the above options, I wanted to try the cape as it also gives a bonus to deception which led me to pick the Fencer style.

Did Aleksandr's Diplomacy check yield any results as far as the hazard is concerned?

Phew! I was about to have Mimi make a bee-line for the exit with her long legs. Now things look a little more manageable.

Nice! I went with the main-gauche. It seemed a better fit for Mimi's background and personality. I toyed with the Dueling Parry, but opted for Nimble Dodge so as not to burn an extra action each round unnecessarily; I may revisit this decision. What Swashbuckler class feat did Makai take at first level?

Makai has no first level feat :D When I was creating him I looked through the feats and liked few of them. And I could not make the choice. I suffered the classical Buridan's ass dilemma.

So I decided to play the first quest without a feat, and ponder on which one he should pick. And yes I know that picking one at random is better than picking nothing. Especially that at level 1 you can rework your PC between every scenario, yet here I am :D

For the record, Mimi just took 10 HP of damage from a crit attack by Blue.

Since Blue was kind enough to make it non-lethal, that puts Mimi at 0 HP, unconscious and prone. I believe that bumps her to just before Blue's next turn on the initiative order.

If someone would be kind enough to heal her before then (1 HP will do), she'd love nothing more than to inflict the same outcome on Blue.

One last thing for GM phaeton_nz. What's the story with these tables? I notice that Blue is standing on a table square to attack Mimi. Does that mean that the tables are not impenetrable? Have we been avoiding them for no reason?

Blue didn't have to get on the table to attack Mimi. He could just have moved to the square SE of Mimi and done the same thing.
