I still haven't heard back from the player with the cleric. If you or someone else wants to send him a PM here's his player profile page:
Grimdog73

And this is the character of his I'd like to have at this table:
Goran Balderos

Still waiting for Wymarc to check in. Will send him (and Grimdog73) a PM later today if I don't hear from them.

No worries I'm still holding out hope that the guy with the 5th level cleric is interested in playing. Hopefully he responds in the next couple or days.

Sent Grimdog73 aka Goran Balderos a message - he can still check in if he's interested.

Hey all!

Thanks for being patient with me. Here is the link to the slides. Please add your PFS info, perception/initiative, and add a token!

Thanks!

Silver Crusade

Done although you might have to shrink my token down a bit in size.

Silver Crusade

Just heard back from the player with the cleric and he's already played it so we won't have him at the table.

Silver Crusade

Since the group does not include a divine caster of any kind I strongly recommend everyone should purchase a Wand of Cure Light Wounds before we leave civilization.
It looks like most of us have one but I anyone who doesn't buys one.

We may have one or two more people joining in!

Excellent news and I hope one or both of them are playing a divine caster!

I have a couple of wands of clw, and although I'm not a divine caster, I still have clw as one of my spells. Assuming that Bahram can play.

Silver Crusade

Welcome to the team!

Welcome Bahram! Will introduce you to the group. If you want to go back and read about the mission, please do!

Silver Crusade

I can't remember if it's in Trajan's profile but this is his 1st level Paladin spell in memory:

Hero's Defiance

So the scenario calls these guards. Theres only one or two references that infer that they might Hellknights but it's never explicitly stated. Their stat blocks just say "guards" so I'll just call them that from now on.

I would assume they are since, to actually qualify for Hellknight, a character must be at least 6th level. I don't think Corentyn is an important enough city to have regular squads of 6th level NPCs. This is a season 7 module so, if they are Hellknights, I would guess those levels would be listed in their stat block.

Plus PFS mods are (I think) designed/written for a party of 4 PCs and, even if they were all 5th level, that would be quite the challenge.

If the near guard isn't distracted by Bahram's ghost sounds spell, Wymarc can try to take out orange...he doesn't appear to be within sight of the other guards, and I could conceivably take him out with two arrows...he'd be flat-footed and I'd get get sneak damage since I'd be within 30'...as long as I can hit him both times, which wouldn't be far-getched since I'd likely be firing at his FFAC...

Silver Crusade

Wymarc: You might want to ask the GM a follow up question on this sentence he wrote: " The guard is probably looking at the raven on the building next door." Seems odd that the guard is paying attention to a raven.
If you want to do a quick 'AC check', with your Perception roll, ask what kind of armor and/or shield the guard is wearing. Typically the heavier the armor, the worse the FFAC.

I was going to wait to see if Bahram's ruse distracted the orange guard before I tried to take him out; if he's distracted enough, we may can get away without a fight. From the map, the orange guard looks like the only one that could spot anyone leaving from the secret door...

Should I go ahead and try to take him out any way? If I can' drop him, we could probably get away scot free as I don't think he's in LOS of the other guards...if I don't though, we'll have a fight on our hands...but with our damsel in distress having such a low stealth mod, we're probably looking at a fight any way...

Seems like the guard was successfully distracted by the sound! But for how long, who knows? They're not the smartest around.. And yes, what about the raven?

That's the bad thing about a high-Stealth character: We can't see Wymarc to give him advice plus he wouldn't want anyone talking to ruin his Stealth attempt. Trajan isn't anywhere near to help out and ultimately it's your call which path you choose. Not trying to encourage one way or the other but I will say that, if Wymarc doesn't speak or move, he'd still get his sneak dice since the guard isn't aware of him.

Aye ‘tis true...but if the guards find our damsel in distress and try to abduct her, which appears to be their purpose, we might have to use, as Spock would say, Cowboy diplomacy

Part of it is but unless Bahram is a super-smooth talker I'm not sure the guards are going to let us walk away.

Happy Holidays. Will get an update out by the end of the day!

Silver Crusade

A PbP question for the veterans here. In the upcoming Outpost IV PbP Convention the rules have listed that a player can sign up for a maximum of three games. Does that mean 3 different characters or can one character be signed up for multiple games?

Different character. One character can't be on multiple adventures! If you have one in a PbP, you can't do another PbP or a VTT/IRL game either.

Speaking of, is anyone planning on using their character for the upcoming Outpost? I do plan on running Part 2 and Part 3 afterwards but it's not required. We should be done by the start of it.

Male Half-orc Bard (archaeologist) / 6 HP 44/51 | AC 23 F 20 T 13 | Init +3 | F +8 R +12 W +9 | Perception (+12) | Darkvision 60'

I would love to continue with Bahram.

I plan on using Trajan in Outpost. As much as I'd like to continue with Trajan in these adventures the combination of the blurbs plus Trajan going to 6th level due to an AP CS means he'll be out of the level range for the other two modules.

Silver Crusade

Quiet here in general and Vuldruk hasn't been on for over a week.

There were issues with the Paizo site for a while...and then when it came back up there were some login issues. Another GM I'm playing under wasn't able to login till today...

Wymarc wrote:

Was it "planned maintenance" like the one screen that popped up for me or was it an 'uh oh'? I don't read the server messages so I never know when the site will be down.

I'm just south of Seattle (where Paizo is headquartered). We had a huge windstorm on Tuesday. Lots of power outages up. Believe that the storm caused the servers to crash and took them most of the day to fix.

Ah the ole' unplanned downtime - okay. Thanks for clearing that up. :)

But we're back now! I'll check back in gameplay shortly

Silver Crusade

Maybe this will help some people with their browser issues; Paizo had a link to this page posted on the login:

https://paizo.com/threads/rzs43abl?How-to-Clear-Paizocom-Cookies

Silver Crusade

Also of note where I live is going to have a rather large snowstorm today through tomorrow morning so I may lose connection or power.

Be safe out there!

Silver Crusade

So far, so good but the worst of the snow is still to come.
I've updated Trajan's actions to follow the party and I set the icons in the marching order I proposed on Page 6 of Gameplay.
If Wymarc still wants to scout ahead alone, that's his decision of course.
And if Vuldruk doesn't want to be co-lead with Wymarc, hopefully I'll be able to log in later.

Silver Crusade

On a separate note today is the last day for GM signups for the Outpost IV PbP Convention. Here's a link to the spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BtOK02J9n4N0QHA5mrjTdpj7vU9iTWm3Uwv 5lsRGKbw/edit#gid=105047669

Since this would be only my 2nd PbP Convention I asked a question in the Outpost thread and someone replied that a slot that does NOT have a GM signed up for it "usually" does not get seated/offered. So whatever time today the deadline is we'll be able to see what modules are actually going to be run.

Was on the fence about GM'ing, but think I will. Going to take a look at what's available to run and decide in a bit.

Silver Crusade

It's disappointing how few PFS1 slots have a GM at this point.

You could always step up and GM :)

GM Mauve wrote:

I don't think they want incompetent GMs. Plus the only one I would even think about running is the Level 1-2 module.

Yeah, it is...it’s been steadily declining. I noticed during the last Gameday that both PFS2 and SFS had more sessions than PFS1...and it’s just gonna get worse...especially considering I’m not a fan of PFS2...

There's only one way to get better!

I only started GMing at the start of COVID. Learned a lot and think my GMing has improved quite a bit over the last year, but still have lots more to learn!

People are generally very helpful on here, especially if they know you're a new GM.

I do recommend GMing at one point in your career! The Confirmation is a great scenario to start. Master of the Fallen Fortress is fun, both playing and GMing. I started with In Service to Lore: Part 1 which is pretty okay as well.
