Sorala closes her eyes and brings forth her inner reserves, willing away some of the aches and pains she's felt since the storm hit. A nifty trick, to put aside one's discomfort, that she learned from her first fencing master.
Using second wind.

I eat stew all the time, I would postulate that food being soaked in ocean water just means they are the leftovers of a very salty stew! I will also assume Tibs dropped his crossbow.
indeed, savages. I could perhaps put them to sleep, though it would work better if they were already fatigued from injuries or combat.

"Just remember we need one alive to question and under no circumstance, none of them to escape capture or death. This is their lands that they will know the fastest way to escape. So they will have the advantage if they are picking a place to fight." Dacknar crouches down behind some large leafy plant watching the frog men as he draws his sword and dagger.
"Hopefully one of you speak frog."
Toki Sigurdson
Toki nods at N'Dateh's comment , There are three. We can set an ambush down the beach, perhaps?
The Northman rubs his eyes and looks for a good spot for such an ambush.

"Are we sure they're slavers? If so, then I say attack, but perhaps one of us can lure them towards us so we capture and question them. We'd see right away their true character... I can act as bait, but Toki seems the type: Foreign, meaty calves, and a voice of gold..."
LilRothic
"While I'd prefer we can rest before engaging them, I fear that they will find us out beforehand. Perhaps some of us can set up an ambush in the edge of the jungle... while others lure them into the trap. I had to drop my spear to stay afloat, but these are sharp enough". She gestures towards her sharp horns. "I'm up for either one, but I feel I might be more effective charging and attacking after they enter the jungle. Is anyone here very fleet afoot"?

"My greataxe did not survive the swim but I have a dagger and my bow if needed. Bearfolk are not born without weapons as well."
He looks at Toki, "Your going to play music and expect me to try to ride on a barrel again, aren't you?"
Toki Sigurdson
Beordt, it was just that once, and I thought we agreed that we would not speak of that again... Toki looks truly sorry for his part in the affair. It did not go as planned at all...
Pulling both handaxes from his belt and giving them a twirl, the Northman continues, Maybe the best show, is a show of force...
Dacknar
"Or Toki to draw then in together, is for them to come to you if you play the helpless wounded sailor washed up and made his way into the jungle but can move any more." Dacknar pointing to a clearing a little deeper in, but where Toki can be seen easily enough. "Perhaps over there in the clearing. Then before they get to you, we spring the trap. First ones to spring out the sides, some from the rear and Toki you slam the front door shut. That should get them boxed in."
N'Dateh
"That's what I had in mind too... No need for violence if violence is not needed..." adds N'Dateh.
Beordt Stormchaser
Beordt nods at the plan and begins to move toward the clearing in question. "Let's get into position." He looks to Toki, "Is this your first frog concert?" He laughs a good natured chortle.

While you scramble a bit further into the jungle and make plans for an ambush, out on the beach the three frog men continue to scout the sands for clues. One drops down to all fours and starts to run its wide nose along the sand while it glances back and forth with its wide eyes. Circling the remains of the raft and then of the tangled sailor, it makes a series of croaking sounds that get more excited as it moves to the cut netting that once entangled Dur.
Standing upright it gazes toward the bedraggled jungle. A long tongue slips out and runs along its lips as it clenches and unclenches its grip on its primitive spear.
"कम से कम आधा दर्जन। शायद अधिक। * croooak * कुछ के लिए एक बैल सिर । हुयूयूमंस के जोड़े । कुछ बड़ा, भारी । रेत में डूब जाता है। *groooak, grock*" It says in a language made up of some sort of guttural mix of Morphoi, Old Nurian, and various throat sounds.
One of the others looks back toward the tower and then into the jungle. "दो बार के रूप में हमें के रूप में कई । हम Grumph बताना चाहिए! तूफान से कमजोर होने पर भी बुल हेड *croooaaak* खतरनाक हो सकते हैं। और जाल काटने के लिए काफी हथियारबंद ।" He thumps his spear on the ground. "Vrock देखने के लिए जगह पाता है, हम बर्तन के लिए भोजन ले और दूसरों को मिलता है । *rrriiibit*."
The scout nods at the others words and the three move back to the body of the drowned sailor where they start to pull the corpse free of the netting.
"At least half a dozen. Maybe more. *croooak* One bull head for certain. Couple of huuuumans. Something bigger, heavy. Sinks in the sand." It says in a language made up of some sort of guttural mix of Morphoi, Old Nurian, and various throat sounds.
One of the others looks back toward the tower and then into the jungle. "Twice as many as us. We should tell Grumph! Bull heads can be dangerous even if weak from a storm. And armed enough to cut nets." He thumps his spear on the ground. "Vrock finds spot to watch, we take food for pots and get others."
The scout nods at the others words and the three move back to the body of the drowned sailor where they start to pull the corpse free of the netting.

Is Nurian the same as Southland Common? (I'm guessing not.)
Sorala
The words the frogmen spoke sounded vaguely familiar, but Sorala could make no sense of them. Instead she moved into position to ambush the ones she assumed were slavers.

Are we doing crits the normal way? I don't recall the answer you provided or the others agreed to? Full damage on a crit + damage again(modifiers still apply only once), or just roll double? My vote is the former, it makes crits much more deadly, and I like deadly. Both myself and my enemies. 10 damage if normal crits, 15 if the "homebrew" crits.

The lookout croaks a warning to its comrades as Tiberius is the first to step forth from the jungle's edge. The morning sunlight glitters off the dragonkin's scaley form as the sorcerer unleashes a bolt of fire at the nearest slaver. The purple flame bursts upon the surprised creature as it starts to twist around. The flames immediately incinerate one of frogman's eyes as the blast knocks it to the ground, its legs and arms twitching in spasms of agony.
While Tiberius unleashes searing fire, Dacknar races through the jungle attempting to cut off any chance one of the slaver's might escape. Vines, fallen trees, and deep pools of standing water all do their best to hinder the elf's progress.
Dur hustles forward, his short frame churning through the deep sand. He pauses long enough to draw, aim and fire his water fouled bow. And yet, the arrow flies true, just missing the creature's heart, but still sinking deep into the soft flesh of its belly. Eyes blinking in rapid confusion it raises it's little spear as Beordt comes charging out of the jungle his big bear frame churning up the sand.
The big bearfolk is followed by LilRothic and Sorala. The minotaur mutters a prayer calling forth the power of Eshu and the furthest slaver finds itself engulfed in a blast of burning radiant flame. The searing heat burns away Dur's arrow and causes the frogman's skin to hiss and pop.
Caught off guard by the sudden charge, N'Dateh races after her companions followed eventually by Toki who attempts to follow Dur's lead by firing an arrow at one of the enemy. Instead the damp bowstring simply snaps with a harsh *twang* and *thwack* as the broken ends whip back and lash his hand. The arrow falls harmlessly at his feet.
Dacknar: Make a DEX(Acrobatics) check vs DC8 to keep from falling during your charge through the jungle. A fail means you fall prone and need to spend next round getting back on your feet.

GM, N'Dateh has a sling. Would that also suffers as the bows from exposure?
DM - Tareth
N'Dateh: I don't think a sling would have the same disadvantage. As far as I know it wouldn't be as effected by the moisture. But not being an expert, if anyone knows otherwise, feel free to chime in. Maybe that's one small bonus for it doing less damage and having a much shorter range. Because of range, you would still have disadvantage until you get within 30 feet.
Toki Sigurdson
What? Toki seems genuinely confused, slowing just a step, but then notices Dur's bow, Oh, I did not mean any insult. But, then again, this is not likely the time for discourse! Shall we commit to discussing this when we rest?
EDIT: @DM Tareth, would my bow have suffered much the same, if I do not keep it strung? Not that it mattered for my first shot...
