Game Master Tareth

You are sailing north aboard the Delightful Rose, an old but dependable merchant trader on its way up the Corsair Coast to Mhalmet. The journey so far has been pleasant and the crew friendly and professional. Now storm clouds brew to the east and the captain and crew all wear looks of worry and even outright fear upon their weather worn faces.

@DM, permission to switch the fighter's free longbow to a shortbow? Longbows are too heavy for a small rat like me.

Assuming the answer is yes, I have a sheet up and ready here

Got tired of fighting to make the Old Lilly profile work, so just made a new one.

Dur: Yep, change of bow typemakes sense.

So Toki are you and Beordt long allies or was I one of your rescues?

I feel like maybe we came from the same village, or neighboring ones? We work well together because heroism rage combo is beastly! Maybe we even went on that first raid together?

@DM, I am also thinking, I might not take retainers after all. Instead, maybe the sailor background feature, due to the sailing, and swap out my land vehicles for water vehicles...

Go for it Toki, we can be sailors together, do you want to do the pirate background as well?

What’s with all these sailors? Just walk into the water, sink to the bottom, and walk to wherever you need to go. It’s so simple...

But lots of cleaning of the rust off the armor and weapons when you just go for a walk.

I just figured that Northmen were accomplished sailors, so it made sense. We could have been crewmates. Connections upon connections...

So who wants to hang out with a giant rat? An appealing proposition I know :)

Well if Dur Roundrat get off the ship, we will know that the ship is sinking.

What, did the name Drowned Rat tip you off? :P

I am guessing that the ratfolk come from the North? You could have traveled down with me and Beordt... I am starting to feel like a Momotaro-type character, with all my animal friends... Lilly care to join us too? (Imagine if Lilly was like one of those wooly minotaurs, like the wooly cattle from like North Ireland / Northern UK?) ^_^

As you might imagine, Ratfolk are pretty much scattered all over. North, south, east, and west. Not saying Dur can't come from the north, in fact it does make for fun possibilities, but he's got lots of options.

The ironic thing is that all these companions have no idea that Toki once penned a song on a dare that painted Thor in a rather bawdy, weak and dishonorable light. Of course the ditty caught on and spread like wildfire among the taverns of Zobeck and the surrounding region. This displeased the thunder god, who is not well known for his mild mannered sense of humor especially when it comes to his honor. Since the young bard came to Thor's attention, many of Toki's companions have experienced misery and hardships far above and beyond those encountered by even the most ill fated mortal. Not to mention his lyre strings keep breaking all the time. God's are just petty that way.

Just saying...it's possible. ;)

I imagine that could be the case, but if anyone had a bawdy sense of humor it would be Tor... ;) We will see what the dice gods say... XD

Probably true...should have picked Odin or Loki they're both much more uptight...ah well. Just speculating anyway. :)

Toki is just a rowdy boy, Odin is too stuffy, and Loki is a little too sneaky. Tor just seems perfect for him. No stealth, just a thunderwave and go! ^_^ I gotta wait until 3rd level before I can start using my own mjolnir !

Thanks for the offer... but Lil has been travelling mainly in the Southern Seas for the last several years when she wasn't shipwrecked somewhere.

I'm getting a Noah's Ark vibe here :-)

Nice to see this! Looks cool
