Crap, I though Red was at ground level 55' down! Now I realize he is flying 50' up. Benoit could have tossed an axe at him! Oh well, next round Red is going to get it. So for future reference, Benoit has the Quick Draw feet. Does it allow him to draw two throwing weapons and make a full attack with them? I probably won't do that, but I've always been confused by the description in the rules.
Prerequisites: Base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: You can draw a weapon as a swift action. Additionally, when making an attack using a thrown weapon as an attack or full attack action, you can draw a weapon as part of the action of making a thrown attack with it. You can draw a hidden weapon (see Sleight of Hand on page 146) as a move action.
Normal: You can draw a weapon as a move action, or (if your base attack bonus is +1 or higher) as part of a move action, and you can draw a hidden weapon as a standard action.

Yeeaaaaaaah, I'm not saying this is a good idea, but it is an idea. I'll have 3 RP left, so at the very least enough to stabilize if I get knocked out again. Plus, worst case, I've got the Slayer of Godspawn Boon from 2-00 that will activate if I outright capital-D Die, giving me one last chance to get out of dodge.
Oh, and - if Red is hovering at 55' feet up, Naylor would also stay up on top of the ledge, so as to remain within 20'.
R6: Rawksim spends 3 more RP to stabilize.
R7: 1 more RP to pop up at 1 HP again. Actions TBD.
Team, I'm torn - he's got me pegged as a Priority Target. I can try and Slow him to try and stagger him, thus shutting down the sneak attacks; but I'm guessing he's very likely to Save, so we're basically fishing for Red to roll a 1 on a save. Alternatively, I can join the rest of the group and just throw down some Mystic Cures, hope that hiding behind allies gives me just that little bit of extra AC to not drop again instantly. Or, lastly, I can try plinking with some Magic Missiles. Guaranteed damage may be good since this bastard's proving so hard to hit; it's Magic Missile, though, so it's not world-shattering damage. Again, though, that pulls aggro.
Thoughts?

![]() |

Can you Mind Thrust this guy? Even if he saves for half, he can't dodge that. I've got plenty of Fame for a raise dead and the two restorations.

![]() |

Only the lvl 1 version :( Better to throw out Magic Missile at that rate.

![]() |

I want to see if Naylor's shot hits home or not and then Jackojare still has to act. If Naylor's shot hits we are in relatively good shape. If it misses that means Red's KAC is at least 29!

Shifty |

Will update when I get home, but also with the rp, I’m just checking how that works, as both times you were dropped to 0 hp and gained the dying condition you then subsequently took Hp damage, which costs 1 RP. So you may have two less than planned, the problem with taking multiple sources of damage

![]() |

Oh snap, touché! I forgot about losing an RP when taking damage while unconscious. I believe that only happened the first time I went down, though - from fall damage. The second time around Rawksim didn't make the same mistake, and was prone on the ground already when Red shiv'd him again.
Anyways. Yeah - updating to have 2 RP, not 3. Definitely scarier now, but the point still stands - if (lol) I get knocked out again, I'll slowly bleed out the 2 RP, and then would die, but magically will instead receive some meager healing and a negative level because of that one time Rawksim punched a demi-god :D
...mostly, yeah, like Benoit says, let's see if Naylor's shot hits and if Jackojare can land some dmg on Red. If that 28 misses KAC...I mean jeez, Naylor rolled a 16.

![]() |

He was at the edge, though - I'm pretty confident I made sure he was a legal target at the time. Arguably if he's short and the ledge is tall he could have had cover, but I hit an EAC 34, so, I mean...fingers crossed?
Either way, it's academic - being at 1 RP vs 2 RP doesn't change that I can't stabilize if I go down. Rawksim is playing Hard Mode now, team :D

![]() |

Sputtering himself awake with a gasp, Rawksim reflexively activates his star mystic's Starlight Form, partially converting bits of himself into luminous star stuff. He sheds normal light out to 30' (maybe this helps TEC-9?) and gains a 20% miss chance. (Any creature ending their turn adjacent to him has to Fort Save DC 20 or be Blinded for 1 round, but that's unlikely to happen.)
He'll then fly up and over to land with his allies, and hope he doesn't get nuked again.
Telepathically: "Team, we gotta have him on the ropes. Right? He's on the ropes, right team?"

![]() |

Ugh I immediately regret this. I should've hit him with magic missile. S$*$.

![]() |

Hahaha aww the forums auto-scramble my swear words?! That's adorable!

Shifty |

@Benoit - It mentions full attack with thrown weapons and the 'as part of the action' so seems legit to draw+throw x 2 as a full attack option with the usual minuses for a full attack. To draw+hold would be a swift
Naylor finally gets a hit in. The Ysoki seems quite angry now.
It looks super angry with Rawksim though.

Gremvest spends 1 Resolve Point to stay in the fight.

He uses his move action to stand. He uses a swift action to summon his called tactical spear into his hand. He throws it at the Ysoki jerkface. -2 range penalty.

Benoit spends 2 resolve points to stabilize. TEC-9 has expert AI does that mean it can act or is it not able too since Benoit is unconscious?

![]() |

@Naylor, I should have thought of this earlier, but if you can eventually get yourself in position to fly above the platform at a height of 20' or so you can avoid all the ysoki clones and be free to take shots at Red. Unfortunately at the moment you are in AOO range of Yellow though.
With Benoit unconscious, TEC-9 hovers in the air motionless.
Just for reference Jack was doing this with his last action:
HEAVY FIRE (EX) 5th Level
You can use your physical power to steady your weapon and make your attacks more dangerous. As a full action, you can make a single ranged attack that deals additional damage equal to your Strength bonus to all targets. You can use this ability in conjunction with the automatic, explode, or unwieldy special property (see pages 180–182).

![]() |

Honestly don't know where I am other than that I am flying.
Naylor looks on with a sinking feeling as more of their teammates fall. They rally enough to continue to pursue the rat, asking "Why are you doing this?"

Just for a lark, gonna roll my 20% moss chance in case that works. Gonna roll a d5, and on a 1 Green was blinded by my brilliance :D
miss chance: 1d5 ⇒ 1

![]() |

OMG.
Ok allies - does anyone need a heal to not perma-die? Otherwise, it's Magic Missile time.
@Shifty can Green make me a Fort Save please? DC 20 or blinded for 1 round. Question: if Green is blinded, can it take Attacks of Opportunity? Being able to full-round cast MM would be aces. Blinded normally grants Flat Footed, but as we've learned, these rats are ok with that...

Shifty |

... and gains a 20% miss chance
OK I read up what the above meant, you gain 'Concealment (20% miss chance)'. 20% miss chance sounds like something that hampers Rawk, not the opponents.
Unfortunately he isn't that interested in your concealment - he stabs you - his little ratty nose (twitch twitch) can smell you just fine.
Fort 1d20 ⇒ 15
Jack up - Rawk stabilising

![]() |

Sorry - I can see that what I wrote may not have been clear, but yes, my defensive buff grants enemies a 20% miss chance vs me. Using a standard action to give myself a miss chance would be pretty tactically inadvised, all things considered :D
Wait so...are you taking that lucky 1 roll away from me? Like, in this brutal combat where we've continually been hosed by the dice, I get a lucky roll on a 20% concealment chance, at a clutch make or break moment, and you're overriding it with your own roll?

![]() |

Ah, ok. Dang. This rat has everything.
I know I'm grasping at straws here, but - does this mean he's got blindsight? If it's only Blindsense, that's an imprecise sense that doesn't overcome concealment.
I really felt like I had a lucky break, there. This is just...crushing, lol.

Shifty |

The shot hits, the ysoki is starting to look a bit worried - but still in the battle.
It targets Jackojare back...
Auto Trick
Attack 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (10) + 22 = 32 vs FF KAC

Gremvest spends 1 RP to "Stay in the Fight."
Photon attunement 1.
He stands up, but takes no standard action. I'm pretty sure standing provoked in PF1, but not in Starfinder.
Still a bit woozy from getting knocked down repeatedly, Gremvest looks around at his allies to gauge the situation.

Ooouch that hurts, heavy fire full round action at red

The gunfire barks at the ysoki.
Yellow takes it full in the chest.
It appears red is now standing with a ready blade in amongst the range of his tail lash and a bunch of downed Starfinders...

Gremvest's nova lance is on the floor by his feet. Bruised and bloodied, barely standing up straight, Gremvest pointedly does not pick up his weapon.
"Converse? Sure, bub. Let's converse. Where the hell is Datch, and who the hell are you? Those computer nerds outside said there was a contemplative in here meditating on pacifism er sumthin.
And while we're conversin', can I stick my buddy over there with a health serum so he don't bleed out?"

Benoit, spends his last resolve point to get back in the fight.
Benoit, regains consciousness with a jolt, but he doesn't immediately get up. From his position on the ground he observes what is happening and sends a message to TEC-9 using his custom rig to prepare to fire its artillery laser should the heavy ysoki go back on his word and attack again.
TEC-9 readies an action to fire on Red if Red attacks anyone again.

Shifty |

The ysoki backs off as you tend to your wounded, and turns into wispy
shadows which vanish into the surrounding darkness, leaving only his clothes and equipment behind. His puppets likewise fade into nothing.
Dispassion’s disembodied voice rattles the walls of the chamber once again: “You fought well, we are defeated, and I intend to keep my promises."
"I am Dispassion, a devotee of Lao Shu Po, Master trainer of Assassins. Those people outside were right - from a certain perspective"
"Datch's current whereabouts - I'm not certain, but I can tell you other things you might wish to know - Who Datch is? What she’s going to so? Why she’s doing all this? Get on with it, there isn’t much time,” he says, sounding obviously impatient

Assuming Naylor or Jackojare poured one of those Dwarven healing serums into Rawksim. He'll use his Staff of Mystic Healing to prop himself up, looking haggard. He'll quickly thank his teammates, and makes sure no one else is at death's door.
"Why is she targetting the Starfinder Society? What did we do to her to deserve this?"
