In an attempt to dodge the fireball, Seamus fails to dodge the greatclub of the ogre standing over him. Feeling the club crush his shoulder as the fire ball burns his face and hands, Seamus curses, "Blast!" Trying to figure out how to quickly get rid of the ogres he calls back to the others, asking, "Could someone run up here and jump up on the ledge and growl at the ogre on the left? That way I can get around it and stab it in the back while it isn't looking?" Waiting to see who provides the flank, at the right time Seamus taps his magic slippers together and jumps up on the ledge tumbling around the ogre, standing to his feet stabbing at the back of the red ogre's leg.

Izomandakus grants invisibility to Seamus who uses it to slam into the ogre before him - dropping the brute with a single blow! Valena leaps up to go toe-toe with the giant, who swats at her fruitlessly though she too misses. Kast carves up the other ogre quite handily into three equal sized pieces - dropping it as well. Hasslo double moves up.
The giant grabs his greatclub with a swiftness that defies logic (quickdraw) and he then swings twice on Valena.

Meanwhile, the king seems to ponder his next move. He points a wand at, well, not Valena or Izomandakus for there are a dizzying number of each of them, and he cant’ see Seamus. So he points at Kast. A thin black line of ichor streams out from the want in Kast’s general direction!

The king watches as his second in command is cut down by a variety fo devastating blows.
Val takes up the leader’s offer of free information. ”What are you doing here?”
”I was ordered to take over here. To increase the flow of arms to our armies, and extend the reach of Lord Mokmurian’s power!”
"You wish to be saved? Then tell me what this symbol means to you, tell me why it's all about this cave!" Kast bangs the Iron Quill against his Sihedron Shield, the symbol that is an increasing worry to him.
”That’s the Si-he-dron,” he says carefully, almost spelling it out. ”It’s old power. Been around for generations.” he casts aside his own Sihedron medallion and tosses it to Kast, ”Very powerful. Gives you more life!” He goes on to explain that while the symbol has been around a long time, only recently has it gained new and significant meaning, at least to the higher ups. He’s not very bright, and so isn’t included on the ‘smart stuff’.
Izomandakus nods at Kast relevant question and adds "Yeah, who are you and what do you have to do with Lucrecia, her sister, the sihedron mark ritual and her plans to drown the whole of Turtleback Ferry"
Izomandakus’ new view is quite frightening to him, but in a seemingly familiar way. As if he’s used to being frightened by superiors. Normal operating procedure.
”Lucrecia works for Mokmurian, may he reign forever, from Jorgenfist. She was, I think, doing something with the hag coven. Something to do with the rain, and killing people with the Sihedron rune on their bodies.” he goes on to say they’re supposed to carve the Sihedron rune into people before killing them whenever reasonably possible. To send their souls to the ”right place”.
He reaches into his pants, ”Look, I’m just muscle. Look!” he takes something dirty out and hands it over. It’s a note written on mammoth hide (image).
Latest contact with Teraktinus indicates he has narrowed the search - he believes a human town called Sandpoint could hide what my lord seeks. Teraktinus will lead several of the People, as well as the dragon, on a raid into the town soon. When they return, they may be pushed, and I may need your ogre slaves to add in Teraktinus’s retreat to Jorgenfist. Be ready to return at my command!”
- - -
”Those are my orders! It’s all I know!” he whines a bit, before suggesting, ”I can draw you Jorgenfist, and tell you where it is. Just let me go so I can find a home somewhere far away from here!”
Kast Phaer |
Kast looks down at his own medallion, and compares it to the one just tossed at him.
"Hmpf...and you think Sandpoint is about to be assaulted?" Kast asks, somewhat skeptical, but thinking it might be true because it was written on quality mammoth hide.
He thinks about the name 'Jorgenfist' and 'Teraktinus', trying to put the pieces together.

He remembers 'Mokmurian' from before.
Izomandakus |
"So you are not Mokmurian but only his pawn..." Izomandakus looks down to the note, remaining calm despite the dire news "Too convenient... we just reach here and you let us know Sandpoint is about to be attacked. Our hometown... and then you want us to just let you be?"
"Where is Jorgenfist? Where is Mokmurian?" the boy holds the stare on the giant, his larger height helping on that.
GM Euan - Rise |
Teraktinus? Yeah, you've heard of him too (nice). He's a stone giant wanna-be thug. He's been spotted by Shalelu who once told you a story of him. Short on attention span, long on brawn. Leads a small cadre of other stone giants, and some dire bears.
- - -
The king tells Izomandakus where Jorgenfist is, and says, Mokmurian is there. He built it, it is his home." He then starts sketching on some nearby hide in chalk.
Kast Phaer |
"Where is Jorgenfist? Where is Mokmurian?" the boy holds the stare on the giant, his larger height helping on that.
"No, he's right. He's speaking the truth. I know where it is," Kast explains after lots of thought and remembering. See spoiler above.
Kast is inclined to let the 'king' go, being a man of his word and intention. Of course, he will also loot the place, as he is greedy and like sparkly things.
"Sounds like we should get back to Sandpoint with all haste. Even if it is just a ruse or wrong, it's credible," he opines aloud.
He feels a bit of worry in his stomach, thinking about his beloved Marigold Pottersmoot. I hope she's okay.
GM Euan - Rise |
The giant thumbs behind the throne when looting is brought up, ”Most of that is Mokmurian’s, so you should leave it well enough alone. But it’s all yours now I suppose.”
On the pile you find a stash of treasure worth 9,200gp, but it consists of various weapons, art objects, gems, trade goods and other treasures weighing over 300 pounds. So let me know how you want to deal with it (I believe Izomandakus has some options).
Mixed in with all of this treasure are several magic items of note.
Studded leather +2 light fortification
Longsword +1
Longbow Composite (+2) +1
Belt of Incredible Dexterity +2
Cloak of Elvenkind
Boots of the Winterlands
You suspect these magics came from the Ranger fort, and the giant will confirm that.
And the giant hands over his wand of enervation (x12), headband of vast intelligence +2 (knowledge arcana), and a pouch of black onyx gems (650gp).
”We have a deal?” He doesn’t even move until you give him the OK.
Kast Phaer |
Kast wishes none of the loots. Is there another Sihedron Medallion in there as well? What did the king toss to Kast?
Kast nods appreciatively at Valena and begins to pack up goods to go. He will carry a bulk of it, as with his sturdy, but clumsy and twisted leg, it won't affect his movement speed too much.
"Yeah, let's get out of here and back to Sandpoint. My trip to Lastwall might need to delay a few weeks, as we to get back..." ...and see Marigold again... "...and make sure the town is warned."
Seamus Passeri |
As the others begins talking with the Giant, Seamus steps back away from him, so as to not get stepped on. Smiling at Kast's confidence, he's not surprised that Kast knew what the giant was talking about. Kast was probably the smartest person he knew. Well, maybe Izomandakus, it was sometimes hard to tell which was smart.
Either way, when the giant thumbed towards the pile behind the throne, Seamus headed back that way to check it out. Seeing the pile, he called out. "It's a good take, we should load it up quickly before we head back to Sandpoint." Remembering he was invisible he included, "Hey Izomandakus if you make me visible, I'll help load up whoever wants to help carry all this stuff."
As Kast talks about warning Sandpoint, he asks, "Once we check on Sandpoint, should we make sure this Teraktinus is dealt with?" Pausing he asks, "What would be in Sandpoint this Teraktinus would be looking for anyway?"
After they've loaded up the giant's pile, he asks. "Before we leave do we want to double check to see if the hags left anything in their lair?"
Izomandakus |
"The invisibility will vanish in just a minute, and yes, I wish this one knew what Teraktinus was after..." actually Izomandakus kneels in front of the boots and changes his completely dampened by the snow ones for the ones offered by the giant "Oh, wow, this is much better, I hope I had had this ones before"
"Yes, we should reach Sandpoint in all haste" the boy then looks at all the treasure around and adds "But we have to figure out how to take all this, and the giant armor in the entrance first..."
"And there is this Lamatar body we promised to bring to Lady Myriana... so many things to do and such a little time..." the boy looks at Hasslo at this point "It would be just convenient if one of us stayed behind to bring Lamatar's body to the likeable nymph... isn't it?" it is clear for anyone sensitive in the group Izomandakus is not eager to see the pushy creature again after his previous flight.
As for the giant, he looks at him intently and to the objects around "I saw you made a fireball... and none of these items can do that, you are a wizard, you want to live, I want your spellbook and that fireball for myself" he extends his pincers and holds up the stare.

The king tossed another one of those 20lb Sihedron medallions to him. Already on the tracking sheet.
You’ve already checked the hag lair - it’s where the lovely stew is. Also, I know you feel rushed, but Haslo is not going to the swamp alone, dragging Lamatar’s body. He is willing to head to the ranger’s fort, and pass whatever message/materials you wish to them. ”It’s clear there is a lot going on here, and I think I’m going to join the Black Arrow Rangers now. The giants, ogres,” he shudders, ”and other things up here need to be tamped down and there are few rangers to help do the job and I feel I need to cast my lot with them.”
”You can well handle whatever giant might come to Sandpoint I’m sure. I need to help here.” He’ll follow you as far as Bitter Hollow, where he’ll pick up the ferry back to Turtleback Ferry and then up the path to the Fort.
As for the giant, he looks at him intently and to the objects around "I saw you made a fireball... and none of these items can do that, you are a wizard, you want to live, I want your spellbook and that fireball for myself" he extends his pincers and holds up the stare.
The giant looks crestfallen. It’s not that he was trying to pull a fast one, but it’s his spellbook! He has little power without it, and by giving you all his cash, he’s unlikely to get another anytime soon. You are, in fact, dooming him to a large degree.
Never the less, he hands it over. Within are the following spells.
Animate dead, Fear
Fireball, Fly, Ray of exhaustion, Vampiric touch
Blindness/deafness, Command undead, Ghoul touch, Spectral hand
Chill touch, Magic missile, Ray of enfeeblement
The clan hold is fully searched. The giant is ready to leave after he hands over his drawing of Jorgenfist (see maps). However, before you can do so, you need to find a way to transport some 700lbs of treasure, in addition to Lamatar’s body.
Izomandakus |
Izomandakus smiles as the spellbook touches his hand and a familiar tingle runs across his arm knowing power is being transferred to him "Good. Without this you are less of a trouble to our settlements. You can leave, at least on what regards me. But be fearful to comeback to Jorgenfist, this Mokmurian you describe does not seem to be proud of failure and he is probably not being as lenient to you as we are being..."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 16 + 2 = 29
Once the giant is handled, and Hasslo explains his intentions, Izomandakus speaks his own "Mmmm... we are around 200 miles away from Sandpoint in a straight line... it will take us days to go back through the ferry, but they need to know the news immediately. And all this haul... we can just not move all this around... "
"Can I have that note and the map?" if allowed Izomandakus will have the mammoth hide and the recent Jorgenfist map "If Hasslo is not dealing with this alone, then I do think it is better you stay here with him." he gives the dwarf a big hug "The others can bring you with the Black Arrows. It has been an honor to serve Magnimar at your side."
While his girtablilu shape still lasts 10 min, he gathers all the haul together and loads it over his sting and body as well as possible 920 lbs max load, using his pincers and two hands to hold extra stuff "I will see you tomorrow at Fort Rannick"
Then Izomandakus pronounces a single word of power телепорт and disappears leaving no trace of treasure behind.
Very familiar on target chance 97%: 1d100 ⇒ 12
I checked distances and seems there is like 200-300 miles, he can teleport 1000 miles right now.
Izomandakus teleports right into his own room on top of Sandpoint Savories. First thing will be to unload the treasure and recover his human shape.
After that, the boy goes downstairs and greets Aneka and their mother casually "Hey mom! I am ok, but I need to talk with Major Deverin and Sheriff Hemlock. I will be back soon! Hope you are all well!"
His goals will be to bring the news as fast as possible to the Sheriff and the Major, and show them the note and the map to make the story believable.
GM Euan - Rise |
You will probably plan a bit before teleporting away. It’ll take the party the rest of the day and all of another just to get down to Bitter Hollow. It’s going to take Izomandakus a day to sell all the stuff because it’s a wide variety of things so a wide variety of buyers. It’s currently the morning of Neth 21. You could all meet for breakfast the morning of Neth 23 at Bitter Hollow.
You figure the Sheriff is more approachable and so get an audience with him - and readily. As he's a quiet and methodical man, he makes you tell your story slowly and carefully. He occasionally questions you about a particular, and he definitely looks over your show and tell.
In the end, he nods gruffly, "Sounds like we should talk to the mayor."
He leads you to the mayors office, past huffing bureaucrats and annoyed assistants ("...but you don't have an appointment..."). Once ensconced in her comfortable office, the Sheriff turns to you and says, "Now explain it the way you did me. And don't be so quick about it this time."
In the end, the sheriff convinces the mayor to spring for some more guards from Magnimar. Again. She asks him why he needs so many guards, she thought the payments to the party were supposed to save those kinds of expenses. In the end though, after a short argument, there is mutual agreement to call up a squad from Magnimar.
The sheriff guides you back out of the mayor’s office, and asks, ”Is there anything else we can do for you son?”

Kast Phaer |
Doing maths, Kast can carry about 200lbs of stuff without it slowing him down. And his Haversack can handle another 50 before being fully loaded.
Kast will help keep an eye on things while Izo 'negotiates' with the giant. And then he will help sort and pack stuff for travel, even eying up Pachemu for a jury-rigged backpack.
"I think we should go together to return the body," Kast replies, having offered word that he would try his best and not exactly believing that the note to be real, or the timing of it. "He should honor our agreements, but not dally too much."
He will listen to Izo's teleportation plan, but thinks it might need to be revised a bit.
Valena Dalloway Versade |
Val shrugs and nods at Izo’s plan. ”You can just do that? Then sure, why not? I can check in with you via Sending in the morning if you like. After my daily one with Sapphira of course.” Val does not lay claim on any of the loot. ”Why do you think we all should go, Kast? In case the nymph ghost does not take the news well? Perhaps we could wait until Izo gets back to take the body then?”
Seamus Passeri |
Realizing no one could see him nod his head at Izomandakus answer, Seamus smiled at the idea and just replied, "thanks Izomandakus!" as his friend put on the new slightly used magical boots. As Izomandakus hurried around talking and doing things, Seamus tried to wrap his brain around everything that was going on.
Hearing that Hasslo was headed back to the fort, Seamus furrowed his brow, but realizing it was probably a good idea, he told he dwarf. "Be safe Hasslo, I'll meet you there when were done with this giant thing." Pausing, he frowned realizing he had become visible again. Blushing slightly, he asked. "If Shalelu gets there before I do, would you let her know what's going on, so she doesn't worry?"
Realizing Kast and Val were speaking to Izomandakus about their plans for the next couple of days, Seamus nodded to Hasslo, then tried to pay attention to what they all thought.
Izomandakus |
Izomandakus reports as good as he can to the Sheriff "Hope Kast was here for the report, he does this better, but they are trying to help a spirit in the swamp"
He gives up all the documents they have found and follows Hemlock to the Mayor "Some extra guard from Magnimar would be of help, but if giants are coming for Sandpoint we might actually need a full battalion to handle this, and I am unsure if that would be available. If you can scout the region and find signs of the giants though, that might be more useful as maybe we can attack them before they reach Sandpoint, I only hope, once I can bring the Sihedron Heroes back here."
"That is, if we are not already too late..." Izomandakus looks down at the evidence and is happy to discuss any doubts or new ideas the Sheriff and Mayor might have "Once Kast and the rest of the troupe is here I am sure they can provide more advice and help"
Unless he can help more somehow, the boy is quick to sell all he can, and the rest he instructs Aneka to put on sell for anyone who wants while he takes a rest and next day prepares as much teleportations as he can.
If nothing else retains him here, he will jump next day to Bitter Hollow as instructed by Valena's sending. He keeps Pachemu on stone figurine to facilitate dimensional hops.
Teleport failure: 1d100 ⇒ 18
Next day, hopefully, Izomandakus will just pop up in front of Bitter Hollow "Hi!" and casually greet everyone and bring news from Sandpoint as possible.
GM Euan - Rise |
The party straps a board or two to Lamatar making him into a simple sled. You struggle with the wind, and the snow, and the cold as you carefully pick your way down the mountain and back to, relative, civilization. It takes a day and a half on the mountain face, but you eventually reach Bitter Hollow once again - though it’s late on Starday, Neth 22 when you do so. There’s no inn in Bitter Hollow, so you spend some of the evening in the tavern warming up before pitching your tents again in the cold weather.
In the morning you arise stiff from the hard ground, pack your gear, and wait in the tavern for Izomandakus to arrive as you warm up with food and thick black coffee.
Izomandakus does indeed stride in, looking fresh and warm from his expedited journey.
As breakfast winds to a close, Hasslo readies to head out to the ferry back to Turtleback Ferry. ”I’ll let them know you won’t be going back by boat so they can get underway if they wish. And pass on your message to Shalelu. She’ll understand.” he grins. Shaking hands, Hasslo heads out into the cold.
Feel free to chat/discuss over breakfast, and I’ll get us going back to the Heart of Sadness later today.
Kast Phaer |
Kast eats and sulks, asking around for the best route back to Sandpoint, in case anyone has a faster or secret method that might be better. He's beginning to fret, a bit, but there isn't much more he can do at the moment. To placate his worries, he will eat more than usual, and is feeling testy by the time Izo shows up.
"C'mon, Izo. We got to get going," Kast says, "Let's get back to the Heart."
Izomandakus |

Izomandakus walks in, looking lean and in a much better mood than yesterday. Clean blankets and a proper bed after days sleeping in the mud and the snow have ofren that effect on the people "Aye, well seen good old friends! Plenty is going on in Sandpoint. Belven Valdemar, the oldest of old Ethram has finally been seen dating with one of his pretenders, told Aneka. Oh, and there was a fuss because Ven Vinder found her sister Shayliss kissing with the son of the tanner, Larz Rovanky, just in the basement of their shop. Can you imagine?! You Kast were very lucky back there."
"It was difficult to talk with Mayor Deverin, she was occupied keeping the peace with Hayliss Korvaski, which is very pissed off and has made up the costs of her boutique only to the Scarnetti, but fortunately Sheriff Hemlock pressed the issue and they are looking to bring some soldiers from Magnimar, I told them you would want to discuss the plan, 'if only Kast and the others were here they would know what to do', you need to go there, I hope we can be done with all this Lamatar and Myriana stuff so you can come back to sleep home with me" Izomandakus quickly explains while rejecting the Bitter Hollow's breakfast "No, I had a real breakfast already, sorry."
The boy does not like to see Hasslo go, but he knows the dwarf has already made his mind "I hope we can see again at some point. But the Black Arrows need people like you now" and he adds with a not often seen smile "Good luck with Shalelu."
Then, turning back to Kast, he adds "Yes, let's get back to the Heart"
Seamus Passeri |
The trip leaving the cold mountain for Bitter Hollow, in Seamus' mind, was even more uncomfortable than the trip to the clanhold. Having slept in his tent another night, Seamus chuckled at the fact that he had enough money that he could have purchase the tavern. He had considered playing his lute in exchange for a pallet in front of the fireplace, but he didn't want to leave his friends out in the cold along.
Now, eating breakfast in the Tavern, he knew as soon as Izomandakus appeared the would be on their way to the undead fey. The entire Idea had him picking at his breakfast. Bidding Hasslo goodbye, he reminded the dwarf that he would join them at fort soon. Giving up on the cold breakfast, Seamus pushed his plate away, pulling out his lute he began to strum. Once Izomandakus joined them, he quickly stored his lute. Shouldering his pack he was ready to follow Kast to the Heart.

You finish breakfast and find that Yap isn’t far away, desperate to see Lamatar, and crestfallen that he is in fact dead. ”Then why did the reincarnation fail? It should have worked!” he wails for his mistress.
You collect your boats and once again portage them along the Wicker Walk until Yap guides you into the swamp when you paddle once again. As you enter the Shimmerglens the darkness thickens, the mist settles, and the foul stench of rot fills your nostrils. Strange cries are heard just off to the side, but you’re not sure if it’s some horror you’ve just passed, or some horror catching up. It varies.
Once again you reach the twisted and mangled tree, and the valley with the wide pool. And once again Myriana rises up from the water, dripping malice and fear. ”Why have you returned? Where is my Lamatar? The reincarnations have failed - I need my beloved!” she shrieks in pain.
Izomandakus |
"I am sorry Yap, the man was turned to an undead. But now that the magics that held him in this world are gone, maybe your Lady Myriana can do something about it..." Izomandakus goes in with the rest of the Sihedron Heroes, but remains on the back.
When the group reaches the Heart, he hands the body to the others, after his last experience he tries to maintain as much distance with the Lady Myriana as possible.
Seamus Passeri |
Not sure which he dislikes more, the stupid cold of the mountain or the scary black swamp, Seamus wishes the dwarf ranger was still with them to navigate the nasty swamp, just in case their fey guide leaves them.
Trying to ignore the strange sounds and deep shadows of the dark valley, he watches as undead fey rises from the pool. Thinking the wrapped body they carry would seem obvious. Seamus turns and looks towards Val. She was much better at talking than he and certainly had a more mature viewpoint on 'having a Beloved.'
GM Euan - Rise |
The party each look at each other, as Kast hauls up the body. Before Valena can speak however, Mariana rushes forward to Lamatar, hovering over his body. ”You brought him!” She caresses him examining all the harm done to him sorrowfully.
As she charges forward, let me know if you remain, or retreat. Remember, you were warned not to get too close!
She immediately casts reincarnation (link)! At first nothing happens. She summons forth the power of Golarion itself and places her hands upon his chest. She looks down at him, realizing - perhaps for the first time - he is lost to her. She sheds but a single heavy tear at her now accepted loss, which splashes on his lips.
She looks up to Seamus, and dissipates peacefully - as the winds themselves tear her wistfully apart. She fades into nothingness as her bracers clatter to the ground. She is gone.
…as she does however, Lamatar begins to stir! There’s a flash of brilliant light followed by a strong clap of thunder as Golarion answers her prayer! After that, Lamatar, or rather the creature Lamatar has become, sits up.
Reincarnation: 1d100 ⇒ 8
He is a dwarf, with strangely glowing eyes, and he looks very perplexed as he casts these eyes around the glade. ”Who are you?”
Inspiration (Su) A nymph can choose an intelligent creature to inspire and serve as a muse. As long as the nymph retains her favor for this creature, the creature gains a +4 insight bonus on all Will saving throws, Craft checks, and Perform checks.
A bard who has a nymph for a muse in this way can use his bardic performance for an additional number of rounds per day equal to his nymph muse’s Charisma modifier (+9). The nymph retains a link to her chosen as if she had cast a status spell. The nymph can end this effect at any time as a free action though you’re not sure how she’d do that in death.

Looking from one friend to the other, Seamus is transfixed by Mariana sweeping forward. He freezes, watching the undead creature. Something that should be evil and horrible, but instead, only concerned for her Lover. As she embraces the dead captain He was reminded of an elvish song that he knew that spoke of death having no effect on true love. :)
He watched as the strange fey shed a tear then looked at him. He have her a smile, hoping someday he might share a love similar. His vision became blurry a she faded joining the wind, but an odd sensation stirred his soul. Hearing the bracers fall to the ground, Seamus could hear the creature on the ground was stirring.
Captain Lamatar was 'reincarnated.' Blinking Seamus realized he was blind, Seamus became a little concerned. "I'm Seamus Passeri," Giving a sweeping gesture towards where his friends had been standing. "And those are my friends." He frowned, "We fetched you from the ogre clanhold and brought you back to Myriana. She reincarnated you I think." Turning his face the direction he knew the others had been. "I cant see." Even though the Fey's presence had blinded him, he still felt strangely inspired by of her.

He frowned, "We fetched you from the ogre clanhold and brought you back to Myriana. She reincarnated you I think." Turning his face the direction he knew the others had been. "I cant see."
Lamatar looks down at his stubby body and smiles, ”I thank you my friends for bringing me to Myriana. This form will do nicely says the young dwarf. Where is she? Where is my love?! I have a whole other lifetime to devote to her!”
”"I think she gave her own existence so you can come back... that is... very passionate"
”Wait a moment friend. What are you saying. Where is Myriana?” he starts looking around in a bit of a growing panic. As he does his eyes begin to shine and lighten the grove.
Izomandakus |
Izomandakus gives the facts to the dwarf "She is gone."
"Her tree is still alive it seems. So you can feel grateful for that." the boy goes on to try give a meaning to the new Lamatar "Your Black Arrows though still need you at Fort Ranick, and there is Hasslo there, who can teach you to be a real dwarf. You can also join us to stop the giants. We already stopped the ogres that did this to you and your lover, but there are giants behind which seem to be willing to attack our lovely home Sandpoint. Care to join us in this fight?"
Seamus Passeri |
Chuckling at Izomandakus' comment, Seamus thought he was right, Hasslo would be able to teach the captain how to be a proper dwarf. Clearing his throat, Seamus, who really doesn't know much about dryads and such, asked, "If her tree is alive, wouldn't she be?" He shakes his head, feeling like he was somehow connected to her. "I hope she's not really gone."
Furrowing his brow, he turns the general direction he captains voice had came from. "Hasslo and I had decided to join the rangers, along with our friend Shalelu. But I don't know how much help I'll be until I can see again." He gives a weak smile, "At least I can still play my lute, too bad I won't be able to read the music we found."

Kast nods, not going to pile on with more words, but give the dwarf time to accept his new…everything and contemplate what he’s lost (the love of his life). He cannot imagine a bigger sorrow in life.
