Haha, power pecks! But for what it's worth, I do think damage can never fall below 1, so even a cat or a chicken does 1 damage on a hit. Not that it matters much :D

Yes the free feats apply to all (including bad guys)

I recall something about if you do negative damage, it is converted to 1 nonlethal damage. I don't have the rules on it, but it is either a rule, or a house rule my old GM used when I first started. I think it applies to damage reduced via DR as well?

Phoenix is only going into combat because he has fast healing. He won't be doing it once enemies start hitting harder.

Apparently Paizo had some hardware problems yesterday thanks to a storm (?). If you got troubles logging in, clear your cookies, and you should be able to log-in again.

I finally got back in! I cleared cookies, but it didn't work until I went in and searched for Paizo specific cookies and cleared those. It took me awhile to find the time to sort it out. So, I am back but too tired to post tonight. I'll get something up tomorrow.

I am so sorry for holding up the game. I can log in on my computer now, but it turns out I cannot log in on my phone. I don't always post on my phone, but it does allow me to post more frequently than I would otherwise. I cannot figure out how to clear just my Paizo cookies on the phone, but I am working on it.

Lol. I went back and counted. Out of 10 attack rolls, she has only had TWO above a 10. And 3 ones. Most of that time she's been poisoned, so it fits kind of perfectly. As a character, she must be extremely frustrated and demoralized right now. She knows she is way off her game, she just doesn't know why.

reminds me of the time that went down in infamy at my table. Player was about to get torn to shreds by a giant scorpion companion (he made poor choices, and ended up being surrounded by 3 giant scorpions and their trainer for about 2-3 turns before the party could catch up)

needless to say, I was impressed he survived long enough for the party to arrive. I recall he had about 9 hp left, and one more scorpion had a turn before the party could save him. (mind you, two of these were animal companion scorpions, so they hurt at this point. Around level 9ish) Rolled three nat 1s in a row.

I remember saying "I guess your foolhardy bravery won you favor with the dice gods, cuz it misses entirely" lol.

I almost rolled 1 ones in a row again on these boards. Sadly, both times were only double 1s XD. (yet to find that double 20 though... I think they are the stuff of myth and legends only)

The worst I've encountered was a RL friend during a D20 Modern campaign we played back in college. For four sessions in a row, he managed to not hit a single attack. And he played a gunslinger, a guy specialized in laying to waste enemies with two pistols. At some point it just became unbearable.

I know, it's all probability and that this one freak month of nonstop horrendous rolls is super duper rare, but it taught me as a DM to cut players some slack when the dice aren't cooperating.

Now I'm playing an unlucky cavalier on these forums and oh god, the first three combat encounters (all of which were relatively tough fights) I didn't get a roll higher than an 8, so I feel you Imara. I'm sure the dice average will balance out over time ;x

I had a double 20 once! It was in 3.5 and I was attempting to disarm an opponent. I rolled a 20 and the DM had me confirm. The confirmation was another 20, so he ruled that I literally cut off the opponent's arm. Looking back on it, I don't really think you can crit on a disarm attempt, but it makes for a good story anyway!

Oh! I didn't read the original recruitment post carefully enough. Yes, she'll take the +5 HP instead, then!

Sorry I didn't catch this before, but Imara's total HP are 14 now, not 12. I originally thought 12 because I had misread your post about taking HP when leveling up. I originally rolled, but then Rydell pointed out I could take 1/2 + 1, so I did that instead. So, she should be at 7/14 (not 7/12).

I might be slow for a couple of days. I caught something and my body is having a hard time shaking it off.

Its all good. As I told Imara, when I choose players, I choose folks for the long run, not to cut them out of they have some difficulties. Real life ALWAYS takes precedence.

I updated the loot list. I highlighted the items that haven't been assigned to a person (either to carry or keep). Imara's maxed out on weight.

My posting may be erratic for the next week or two. My father is not doing well. I am leaving botting instructions so I don't hold up the game. I haven't done this before, so please let me know if I am leaving out anything important.

Imara's preference is to fight melee, rather than ranged and to use two weapon fighting. The -2 is for the poison.

Melee: Short sword +5-2 (TWF +3-2); d6+0 (19-20, x2)
Melee: Dagger +5-2 (TWF +3-2); d4+0 (19-20, x2)
Ranged: shortbow +5-2; d6 (19-20, x2)
Sneak attack +1d6

Perception for traps +8 (+9 for magical traps)
Disable device +9 (+10 for magical traps)

She will use her consumables if she thinks it's a good idea and it's very important that she is very excited about using any magic. ;) She takes risks, but isn't reckless...if that makes sense.

Also, I don't think I'll be gone long enough for this to matter, but just in case - if they go back to down her highest priority is getting to Tyari to figure out what's up with her dex.
