After the briefing, I will give you time to pick out your school items.

Waiting for the last one to join us before kicking it off.
@Cervantes, I added your token. Where in the marching order would you like to be placed.

@GM: How many successes do we need for each challenge?
How many did we get for the first challenge?

I think we should leave Aldonza do the set-up check. This check looks like it will be tough for most of us as well, so it might be a good one to hustle in. I'm seriously considering it for Cervantes, at least.

For any given round obstacle, you will need to succeed on 3 checks.
On the previous round only Cervantes made the athletics check. Jak did not make the set up check, so could not provide the bonus.

Thanks! :)

We probably only need a couple people to hustle, right?

I hope I am not getting in the realm of meta-gaming with this question, but do our characters feel that doing the set-up tasks is much harder than simply attempting the normal check ourselves?

No, I do not think you are.
The DC's for the set up checks are harder. The extra difficulty gives you something more if you succeed. You get a success and grant the others a +2 bonus.

Another question, sorry. Cervantes can use the cantrip 'Inspire Courage'. Could he use it to boost everyone's attack roll for the upcoming check?

![]() |

Oops, my roll is supposed to be perception which would make it an 11. Not sure why I used my religion skill

PFS 2 GM ZD |

Correct. You can either back out and go to another area or deal with it and continue your search of the market.

Hey Everyone, I'm really sorry that I've been so absent so far. I will get caught up this weekend. Again, my apologies.

No problem. Not sure where you are located, but if it is the USA, we are all feeling a bit drained and out of sorts

![]() |

Agreed. Cervantes' vote is to move on, mainly because the checks that are left aren't suited for him.
That said, he wouldn't mind sticking around if other people still want to try doing some checks.
On the other hand, I'm assuming 'Desert Wind' is the other horse we found? I suppose Cervantes can at least try to command the horse to follow us before we leave.

I do apologize about the slow pace of this adventure. Forgot how much investigations via PBP can drag on.
I will try to finish this adventure up before the new year. Do not want to bring anything from 2020 into it. So I will be a more strict with the one post per 24 hour time frame.
So please try and keep up, if not, may have to bot you all in the best interest with the party.
Again, I sincerely apologize.

As we are closing in on the ending, please everyone post their downtime activities.
If you are earning income, please provide your proficiency with the taska as well as how many days you have.

PFS 2 GM ZD |

That depends on if you went with a pathfinder school or field commissioned.
If you chose one of the schools, ie Scrolls, Spells, Swords, or Generalist, you have 8 days of downtime to use.
If you are field commissioned, you have 12 days of downtime. Which means you would also roll twice. Once for the first 8 days and then a second for the last 4.
And you can roll it yourself.

Rufous sings for his supper
Performance: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
I think 8 days, and he is Trained in Performance.

PFS 2 GM ZD |

Do we all roll it, or just the field commissioned?
Everyone can roll them.

Cervantes also has 8 days or downtime.
I think it is kind of amazing that we are all performers. My head cannon is that we went on a tour afterwards showing a dramatic reenactment of what went down in this mission.

The total was more than 10 over AC, which in second edition is a critical hit.
When you make an attack and succeed with a natural 20 (the number on the die is 20), or if the result of your attack exceeds the target's AC by 10, you achieve a critical success (also known as a critical hit).[/spoiler]
