You are invited to a celebratory gathering at the Grand Lodge to recognize the successful completion of the new Pathfinder initiates’ training and confirmation trials. Each of you has received an invitation from Head Initiate Janira Gavix encouraging them to attend the celebration.
000dafi03 |
Arriving by messenger to each of you is this invitation!
Following the invitations suggestion, you arrive at the Grand Lodge in Absalom. Feel free to describe how you received your invitation and how you either came to Absalom or traveled to the Grand Lodge
It seems as though the entire Grand Lodge has the air of a celebration. The great gates are flung wide, and the phoenix trees lining the entryway are in full flame. The halls of the main tower of Skyreach, normally somber and reserved, echo with the sound of voices and music. The great ballroom is decked for a celebration, with colorful banners and bunting along the walls, tables replete with food and drink, and a jovial cacophony of conversation rising from Pathfinders of all ancestries, nations, and backgrounds.
After a quick scan of the room, it’s obvious that many of the attendees have gathered in small groups here and there. A half-orc woman in an iconic ship captain’s hat stands near the punch bowl, handing cups to anyone who passes within reach, and a dark-skinned half-elf leads a small group of new agents around the room, introducing them to other attendees. Several senior agents stand in quiet conferral with a dark-haired Taldan man with a distinctive chin strap beard, while a scholarly dwarf tells a rousing tale to a growing audience.
A familiar blond halfling woman bounces over, bubbling with excitement. Janira Gavix, Head Initiate of the Pathfinder Society, grins, “Oh, I’m so glad you made it! After all, the celebration is for you. Have you gotten drinks? Snacks? Be sure to spend some time getting to know everyone—it’s best to be on good terms with the movers and shakers in the Society, that’s how you learn about the latest opportunities. I’ll be here if you need me to help you with anyone’s names or to make an introduction. Just let me know how I can help!” Janira gestures everyone forward into the room, beaming all the while.

"Oh, Janira! Boss told me about when he helped her by roasting a minotuar. Looks like it is my turn, after they saw how I handled those lions." Drizzic says in the workshop as he grabs his duster and alchemical supplies.
He writes a scribbled note to his boss.
Gone on another mission, pleasure and business. It is from Janira! Promise to make a big first impression. Hugs and hellfire!
---
As Drizzic arrives he bounces around gazing at all the merriment, having never seen anything quite like it. He finds his meeting place and turns around surprised by Janira but quickly returns her excitement.
"Hello! I have eaten quite a few snacks and even put a few in my various pouches...I can clean them later. Boss Rook has told me quite a bit about the Pathfinder Society...so many business opportunities and chances to test our alchemical goods. HE EVEN TOLD ME A STORY ABOUT YOU! Said he went up the Kortos Mountains with a group of initiates in his day...got to blow up a minotaur! Uhm...are we going to get to do that?" he says bouncing in place as vials of liquids clink together on his duster. The goblin has quite a few burn marks across his ashen grey skin and wears a pair of goggle atop his large head.
He realizes he didn't introduce himself and corrects the mistake.
"My name is Drizzic Kruhl, apprentice of Mhazruk Kruhl of Rook's Alchemical Suppliers. Working with us is always a BLAST!" he says excitedly.
Peregrine Sandpipe |
Hearing a knock on his room's door, Peregrine rises from bed rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "One minute, I'll be right there.", Peregrine says to the door. He pulls on a clean shirt and pants and pads to the door, opening it to see a messenger holding out an invitation from the Grand Lodge. "Thank you", Peregrine says to the messenger and returns to his room, grabbing his pipe to read over the letter. "Ah, finally a response! Hopefully now I'll be able to get into the library and see what kind of lore they have on dragons and there history. First it looks like I have to go hobnob with the higher ups. At least I got accepted into the Society!"
Peregrine finishes his pipe, heads down to the common room for some eggs, biscuits and a coffee and then returns to his room and puts on a well fitting vest and tailored pants. "That looks better. Time to head out if I want to be on time!", Peregrine says to himself as he locks the door and starts out toward the Grand Lodge.
As Peregrine arrives at the party he sees Janira and heads in her direction, stopping at the snack table and grabbing a couple of small things to munch on. "Thank you for the invitation, my name is Peregrine Sandpipe.", Peregrine says as he hands her his invitation.
Alldo Nightarm |
A chelaxian man arrives at the grand lodge. He stands tall and young and wears a long blue silk robe. In one hand, he carries a staff with a red stone in the end. In the other hand, he has a spellbook with shiny cover.
He strokes his lustrous long dark hair, approaches Janira Gavix and says:
My name is Alldo Nightarm, nice to meet you. I am wizard, apprentice of Wystorn Telfyr. I received the letter from my teacher, himself. Also, the journey has been nice, I travelled from sailboat from Almas, my hometown, to here. I am glad to help the Pathfinder Society, finally.
Zonk the Sunsaved |

Zonk arrives back at the Grand Lodge, still exhausted from the arduous journey across the mountains between Chelaix and Isger, walks into the room he'd called home for many moons longing for the pillow waiting there.
Alas, before his head could bounce off it's smooth soft surface, it bounced off the invitation resting there.
"Huh, hmm, what's this? Oh Fire and Ash, they want me around People. Huh, they really are pushing to have more of us Goblins in the public view. Oh no, it's in ... 3 hours. Please Holy Fire Lady, give me strength. Wait, 3 hours? I can get a least a little bit of a nap in, my feet still ache."
_______________
15 minutes before the time listed on the invitation, and clean, simply dressed in a blue and gold robe adorned with a heavy wooden winged Ankh, apparently unarmed Goblin presents himself and his invitation to the reception.
"Excuse me please, I'm supposed to attend some sort of celebration? Through there? Thank you."
___
A few minutes later when he is nearly pounced upon by a familiar figure. "Janira! It feels like it's been forever! I made it! And I didn't let anyone die! I'm sure you get former students coming up and rambling incoherently about adventures they've had all the time, but if you're willing I'd like to regale someone about the one I just had! Maybe you could give me a couple pointers about how to frame it better for my report? Please? ... Wait, there's food? Excuse me please, I must, ensure it's safe for the important people who are here."
Felika Elvanna |
Felika is working in the tiny library of her village - barely more than a few shelves, most of which are dedicated to children's books - when a messenger brings her the letter from Janira Gavix. She gasps and smiles as she reads it, then her eyes widen when she notices the date. If she wants to make it to Absalom in time, she will have to leave very soon. She finishes her work diligently, but her thoughts are elsewhere, and she leaves almost immediately once she is done.
Felika heads to her home. Her father raises an eyebrow when he notices her almost skipping into the house, and she tells him what happened, from the moment she secretly applied, only half hoping to be admitted. "So it turns out they want me," she finishes. When confronted with her father's silence, she fidgets. "Don't worry, I'll be careful. And at least, I'll be far away from all this," she adds as she points in what they both know to be the general direction of Whitethrone.
----
When Felika gets to Absalom, then to the Grand Lodge, she can't help but gawk. Reading about it sure isn't the same as seeing it in person. Despite having braided her blonde hair in the most elaborate way she could manage and having picked her nicest summer clothes, a dark green tunic and pants, she feels like she hardly belongs in this crowd, with neither the trappings of fierce warriors, nor those of a wielder of magic. She walks around, inspecting the crowd, wondering who she should speak to, and decides to try some of the fruit laid out on the tables instead. This should give me an excuse not to talk for a while... And it's delicious!
When Janira approaches, her warm welcome reassures Felika. "Thank you so much for inviting me. I was half expecting never to receive any news from here." She smiles to those around her. She is about to extend a hand when she realizes it is sticky with fruit juice. She looks around for something to wipe her hands with and, not finding anything, decides to wave instead. "Hello. My name is Felika. I'm new here and don't have any experience, so any pointers would be helpful." She is about to ask Zonk about his name and apparent experience, but before she can say anything, he's off running through the crowd. Instead, she calls out to him "The fruit seems safe!" as she waves a piece of melon she had yet to eat. She turns back to Alldo. "So... you're a wizard? It must have been wonderful to learn magic in Almas. How was it? And am I the only one who dreams of exploring the libraries here? I have a hard time even imagining how big they must be."
Zonk the Sunsaved |
Zonk, politely, takes a small plate, fills it with this and that, and starts systematically passing things into his razor sharp maw, and in fact it is several moments before he realizes that the young human in the dark green tunic had in fact followed him towards the tables, and was talking to HIM. He pauses and returns the small fruit to his plate and looks up.
"Oh, I'm sorry! Hi! I'm Zonk the Sunsaved. Tis by Sarenrae's Grace, and the kindness of the Pathfinders that I live this day. In Her Name I can call up lots of pretty fire, and don't need to look at complicated soul-stealing books to do it! I'm back from my first ever, official adventure as of ... He clearly stops and things for a moment. "Four hours ago. As to spending time in the library ... you are far from the first to long to spend time there. He pauses again to pop a piece of cheese into his mouth, trying to keep his lips mostly closed. "As for myself, it's the kitchens, and banquet halls that are magical! It's only in these halls that I've experienced something truly awe inspiring. I felt .... full. A couple novices made a wager on how much it I and a couple others could eat. Ah, that was a glorious day. So, tell me about yourself? Other than libraries, what do you like to do?
000dafi03 |
The other participants at the party seem to give Zonk a somewhat wide berth, the presence of a goblin in the society still unnerving some of the more suspicious bunch. Still, there are clearly some that seem to pay no mind to the fact that he is a goblin, while other still seem to take interest in Zonk as a subject of "cuteness". People can be weird, Pathfinders are definitely no exception.
Janira gathers you all together once she notices that most of you have arrived. She pulls out her papers and gives them a once over, "Hmm, well this is almost everyone I invited this time...looks like we are just missing Squash, a leshy. Let me know if any of you see him, should be pretty easy to spot, probably looks like a plant of some kind you know?"
Felika Elvanna |
Felika giggles as Zonk gets worked up about food. "After tasting the fruit here, I can sort of understand why you are so impressed. I've rarely had such fresh fruit. I take it you don't like books, though? They are just about the only way I've managed to learn about the wider world. Other than that, I've mostly just had martial arts training and spending time outside appreciating the wind and the open space. I like those, but I'm looking forward to more than that."
When Janira tells them of the missing member, Felika looks surprised. "A leshy? I've never met one of them, but yes, it should be easy to notice. Should we go look for him, or does he know where to meet us?"
~Squash~ |

A leshy wraps woody digits around a gold coin. The facial expression on his pumkin head is one of intense concentration as a creepy, gravelly voice counts out loud.
"Forty-three, forty-four, forty-five, forty-six. Forty six shiny yellow circles."
He dips a pen into an inkwell and slowly as if having to carefully consider each stroke before he writes it, jots the number down.
He places his pen on the desk and the paper on a stack of several others.
"Forty-six" he moves the top paper aside and looks at the one below it. "Forty six and... fifty-three... Forty... six... fifty... three." The leshy stops for a moment, frozen in place, uncertain how to proceed. He then slowly picks up the pen and writes into a large, leather-bound ledger.
"46 and 53"
Smiling with satisfaction, the leshy places the pen back on the desk and picks up the next paper. He stops again and carefully reads it over, mouthing the words.
"Uh oh. I'm going to be late."
The leshy gets up and goes to a wall of pegs where he removes a coat, likely made for a halfling from the lower peg and dons it. Thick masses of wines threaten to tear apart the seams in the sleeves. He then reaches up to a hat made for someone larger than a halfling from the top peg. It is just out of the grasp of his fingertips until after a moment of intense grunting causes more vines to wrap around his hands, extending his reach ever so slightly. He dons the headgear with arms almost twice as long as they were before. As he heads out the door, the extra growth of his arms slowly recedes.
__________________________________________________________
Some time later the leshy arrives at the party. He sees other people and give them a sweet smile as he saunters over. He removes his unusually large hat and bows, speaking in the same unnerving voice that sounds somewhere between trying to clear his throat and whistle.
"Hello leshys. Is this the..." he pauses for a moment to look down at his invitation which he has held tightly in one hand again. "Celebration?"
Drizzic Kruhl |
"Oh that old superstition. They just didn't want us to learn anything exciting. My bombs can make fire, acid, and even electricity! I prefer the fire too, Zonk." Drizzic interjects as he holds up a burnt tome in both hands with doodles of explosions on the cover.
Drizzic looks at the newcomer quizzically holding back his curiosity to examine the leshy closer.
"It is! You are Squash the leshy? Janira, Squash has arrived!" Drizzic says trying to grab their hand and hold it up.
000dafi03 |
Many people gathered at the party stop what they are doing and eye the leshy. Among members of the Pathfinder Society, leshies have been raised to a kind of minor-celebrity status, with each new leshy joining the society causing some excitement.
Janira continues now that everyone is here, "Ok, this is your celebration, but make sure you talk to some of the movers and shakers of the society if you want to be sent on missions sooner rather than later. The important ones here today are Calisro Benarry, leader of the Horizon Hunters, Eando Kline, leader of the Vigilant Seal, Fola Barun, leader of the Envoy's Alliance, and Gorm Greathammer, leader of the Grand Archive. It's your party though, so make sure you have some fun too! Oh, and if you need any help talking to one of them, let me know, I'll be somewhere around the snack table probably." she says with a smile.
The adventure continues by talking to those four people.
Felika Elvanna |
At the thought of speaking to any of the leaders of each faction, Felika fidgets again and looks around at the other new recruits. "I think I'll go speak to Gorm Greathammer. Would any of you accompany me?" She then turns to Janira "Would you introduce us, please? And is there any subject we should avoid?"
Drizzic Kruhl |
"Maybe we can stick together? Company is always fun...I know I want to talk to him eventually!" he says pointing enthusiastically at Eando Kline, "but you got first dibs now!" Drizzic says extending his hand in case she wants to hold it as they walk.
Alldo Nightarm |
Alldo while listening to other conversations, he decides to join the other members and greet them. He says:
I also would like to join and have a conversation with the leader with my faction. I am eager to listen to his stories.
000dafi03 |
Janira looks around the crowd for Gorm, "Well, he leads the Grand Archive, so he loves learning and stories in equal measure, so try to keep the conversation around there." she says as she leads you to where he is.
At the moment, Gorm is occupied by a conversation with a well-groomed, clean-shaven man of Qadiran descent, dressed finely and flashing a charming smile.
"That would be Aaquir Al-Hakam. He was responsible for the Exchange faction, however, he has stepped out of the society to focus more on his business ventures as of late." Janira informs you. "One of you will need to occupy him if you want to talk to have Gorm's full attention." she says. "I can do it for you, but I don't want to take away any opportunities for you to speak with anyone that deals with the society, plus I need to get back to the snack table!"
You can occupy the additional NPC with a skill check or roleplaying a conversation. You can use either that faction leader's preferred skills for an easier DC or you can always choose to use Diplomacy or Deception at a higher DC. One PC can make the primary check and one PC can aid. In addition, a PC can attempt a society check to identify the skills and conversation topics most suited to an NPC.

I'm rolling these ahead of time for you, but if you think you wouldn't normally want to risk rolling a recall knowledge to avoid critically failing, feel free to not check your spoiler.
Drizzic Kruhl |
"Leader of the Exchange! That is the organization Boss Rook worked for and how our little company got its start! Leave him to me while you talk the leader of your faction...once I think of what to say...haha. he says extremely excited once again. Checking all his vials are in place to prominently display them.
~Squash~ |
My feeling is that if there is something said or seen that might spark a memory, it will whether I would want it to or not. So I will generally always check those even if I'm terrible at it. In fact, when I GM such a situation I don't even give the players a choice to roll or not.
"They sound like a good leshys. We go talk now?" Squash looks at them, clearly uncertain as to what he might say.

I definitely agree with you, when its recalling knowledge, you don't usually choose to actively not recall related information about a topic.
Felika Elvanna |
That's one way to see it, Squash. I think I'll be doing that in play-by-post out of combat from now on. It does seem to make more sense. Let's hope I'm not completely off.
Felika observes Aaquir for a moment, thinking about what Janira just said and what she has heard previously. "Drizzic, weren't you talking about your association with some alchemical business, earlier? Maybe you could talk to him about that. Or maybe some of you have some experience with this?" she adds as she looks around to the others. "He is focusing on his work as a businessman, after all. I'm sure he'd enjoy talking about business opportunities and trade. Just make sure to be nice. He looks fancy."
From what I know, Diplomacy and Society (and some lores we don't have) are the skills to use. Is it ok if I add this information in ooc as a guide to what needs to be done in terms of mechanics? I don't really know how I'd hint at it more through simple dialogue. If it's not, I apologize and I won't do it for the next checks.
000dafi03 |
That's fine with me, it can be hard to fully translate game terms to real-world dialogue. I'm not a huge fan of numbers and would prefer it if instead of saying "untrained +1" at diplomacy, you could say "I don't have any real training/practice convincing people and I'm not typically the most well-liked. On the other end, "master +10" could be "I have extensive practice with diplomatic situations, some people even call me a master at the art." However, this is a suggestion, not a requirement, that I think just adds more to the immersion of characters in-game.
Peregrine Sandpipe |
"Ah, Gorm would no doubt be in charge of access to the Society's libraries! I must speak with him at some point so I would love to speak to him with you as well Felika!" Peregrine says excitedly.
Drizzic Kruhl |
Drizzic nods to Felika.
"Thanks for the advice. That topic I can talk about for daaaaays but they usually leave before the end of the first one...enjoy your conversation with your boss." he says with a shrug as he approaches the duo.
He checks himself over once more and clears his throat.
"Hi, hello! My boss says it is rude to interrupt but I couldn't contain my excitement to meet the esteemed Aaquir Al-Hakam...did I say that right?" he asks extending a hand to each person for a handshake.
He then turns to focus on the leader of the Exchange, slowly sliding between the two.
Society: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
"Sir, it is a pleasure to meet you. My boss at Rook's Alchemical Suppliers is a member of your organization. He took me in and taught me the trade before sending me off to take on missions with the Pathfinders. It is a shame I can't have you as my Pathfinder boss. How is business these days?" he says starting to strike up conversation on economics of trade.
000dafi03 |
Aaquir Al-Hakam doesn't seem too interested in the goblin, "Yes, yes pleasure to meet you." he says before returning to his conversation with Gorm.
Thankfully, it still gives Gorm enough time to notice you, "Ah, the new recruits! I've got just the thing for ya! 'Corrding to the locals, a house in the Precipice Quarter is rumored to be haunted and is going ta'be torn down in a few days. Can ya go an' check it out for me? Be sure to bring back a good story er two while yer at it!" he says with a smile before Aaquir regains his attention.
A partially collapsed house in the Precipice Quarter, long rumored to be haunted, has been marked for demolition in the next few days. Gorm understands that the house was severely damaged in the earthquake of 4698 ar, but rumors of strange activity there long predate the quake. He would like you to uncover the history of the house before its destruction.

Zonk's light up with an intense glimmer when Dizzic comes over and declares a long held goblin belief to be a superstition.
"Maybe it is, but I'm not risking losing my words!

Zonk follows along with the group of fellow young adventurers, carrying a small plate of snacks.
"Eando Kline is the head of my faction, I can try talking to them. I need to make my Report anyway, though I think ... that this party is probably not the expected time to do so. Anyone else have any preferences?
Felika Elvanna |
Felika nods as Gorm tells them of the haunted house. "I'll do my best! Thank you for the opportunity!" she replies, trying to at least fit a few words in before Aaquir grabs Gorm's attention again.
Disappointment is visible on her face for a few seconds as she turns away, but when Zonk mentions Eando Kline, she manages a small smile. "I'd have to agree about waiting for the report, but we can go speak to him if you want. Let's try to find him."
Drizzic Kruhl |
"This goblin would enjoy talking to his Society boss too! Lets head over there...maybe we can get another mission and knock them all out at once. Get a group bonus!" he laughs as he pulls along the other goblin.
000dafi03 |
You locate Eando Kline in the crowd. Eando is currently speaking with a tall, tan man with meticulously groomed hair and mutton chop.

"Ah Janira, who is that talking with Eando Kline? I don't recognize him, but that isn't that surprising as I haven't been around the Society much. Peregrine asked, feeling that he should have done a little bit more research before showing up to the party.
Zonk the Sunsaved |
Zonk looks at the other man for mere moments and has an instinctive flinch when recognition dawns.
"That's Ambrus Valsin, the Steward of the Grand Lodge. He's ... a firm taskmaster, with little time for pure scholars who can't at least make something, or are otherwise unsuited for the field. I ... should have learned more from when he tasked several of my class with climbing a rock wall until all of them made it to the top when he caught them mid prank. It took them 3 hours. I was ... not prepared enough to climb the mountain passes, and I should have been under his watchful eye. Here's a life lesson from one who's seen it. Don't make him mad."

Drizzic Kruhl |
"That person can't be both...not without hiding to change his looks...I think we should wait for Janira to answer Peregrine." Drizzic says looking between the other goblin and the leshy, clearly confused.
000dafi03 |
Janira smiles at Zonk, "Zonk here is right, that is Ambrus Valsin!" she says before turning to Squash, "Actually, Kreighton Shaine is just over there! If you want to talk to him later too, you definitely can, though you're right, he is a bit odd at times, but I learned a lot from him!"
Felika Elvanna |
Upon hearing what Zonk is saying, Felika starts doubting herself, but then, Squash says mostly the same things she expected, and she frowns. "I think I've seen a picture of Kreighton Shaine before that looked like this, and I've heard he loves puzzles, occult mysteries and rare knowledge as Squash said, but I've never met this man and haven't been away from my home much. And now you both say you have met him, but don't identify him as the same person? I think we should check with Janira to be sure. Unless Alldo wishes to say something with some level of certainty?" she adds as she turns to the wizard.
Felika Elvanna |
Oops, I had not seen your post, GM Zer0darkfire. Sorry about that. I hope you don't mind the double post.
Felika perks up as she hears Janira's answer. "I'd love to speak to both of them, but for now, Drizzik, I should do for you as you did for me. I'll distract mister Valsin."
She takes a deep breath, then strides toward Ambrus Valsin and taps lightly on his shoulder. "Mister Valsin, I'm sorry to bother you, but from what I have heard, you could be an excellent mentor for me. I've been training to move efficiently through dense forests and other tight places, but I find it is somewhat different through a crowd. Would you please observe me and give me some advice, that I can better serve the Pathfinder society in urban environments? Maybe I can get you a drink or snack at the same time."
Felika waits for Ambrus' reply, then weaves her way among the crowd. She avoids colliding with anyone despite not picking the easiest path, even tumbling to do so when she passes by someone who speaks with expansive gestures. She makes it to one of the buffet tables, picks up some food and drink, then makes her way back through the crowd, moving swiftly while being careful not to spill anything. Once she reaches Valsin again, she offers him some of what she brought back and asks, "So, how was it? Should I change the way I move through crowded areas?"

Alldo, closes his eyes and tries to remember about this man. He pauses for awhile and then says:
I remember my colleagues commentating about his work ethic and perseverance. They also said that he does not put with slackers.
Skill Check: Acrobatics, Athletics, Crafting, Labor Lore, or another Lore tied to a trade involving manual labor. Ambrus appreciates agents who work hard and stay out of trouble.
Also, sorry, Felika for responding the question you asked earlier

Ambrus nods with interest as he watches Felika shift through the crowd with deft skill. After her performance, he discusses her strategy, "There are many times where a mission will call for the ability to discreetly move through a crowd, not everyone likes our society after all!."
He then gives her a couple of pointers before attempting to return to his conversation with Eando Kline.
Critical success! That earns you two points and you need three points in 6 player mode to receive the bonus. Can anyone else perform a check?
~Squash~ |
As if not to be outdone, in the midst of her performance, the leshy moves over and picks something heavy to lift.
"I hear you like leshys who pick up things."
Athletics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
000dafi03 |
Ambrus laughes, "I'd prefer if you picked up important things in the field!"
Just short of a success; an aid would make the difference or someone else can make a check.
Peregrine Sandpipe |
Acrobatics, Aid: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Peregrine tries to help Felika by also sliding through the crowd, but almost immediately bumps into one of the servers. "Excuse me, I didn't see you there. My pardons.", Peregrine says to the server.
Drizzic Kruhl |
Craft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
"Picking up things are important but so are the things we create with our own hands...well I suppose they go hand in hand. Hello sir!" Drizzic says turning back to Ambrus before addressing Eando Kline.
"Mr. Kline! I am Drizzic Kruhl of Rook's Alchemical Suppliers but more importantly a new member of the Vigilant Seal! Happy to meet you." Drizzic says sticking out both hands to shake which might be confused as a hug.

Another Critical Success!
Ambrus becomes quite invested in a conversation with Drizzic over the finer details of being able to make things for yourself. "You know, some missions aren't a one hour walk in the park. Sometimes, you'll need to go traveling for weeks and have to make due with what you have already. Bringing someone along that can make things you need when you need them can be vital to a successful mission."
This gives the others plenty of time to converse with Eando Kline, including Drizzic while Felika keeps Ambrus busy. "You know, I have just the mission for you bunch. Some time ago, a whistleblower revealed a possible threat to Absalom related to one of the siege castles. In response, however, that individual was silenced and eventually petrified during the Charge of the Gorgon." he pauses for a moment, "I suspect foul play. To that end I've leveraged my contacts to get a writ allowing the victim to be restored, and I would like you to do so and learn about this alleged threat to the city." he then hands Drizzic a vial."That is a greater salve of antiparalysis. Use it only on the target." he then is just about to return to his conversation when he remembers something, "Oh yes, take this list of names. It has some of my contacts you can use to gather information in Absalom."
Some time ago, a whistleblower revealed a possible threat to Absalom related to one of the siege castles. In response, however, that individual was silenced and eventually petrified during the Charge of the Gorgon. Eando suspects foul play; he has leveraged his contacts to get a writ allowing the victim to be restored, and he would like the PCs to do so and learn about this alleged threat to the city. He gives them a greater salve of antiparalysis with explicit instructions that it be used only on the target.
Additional Aid: Eando is impressed with PCs who can keep the other NPCs occupied and says he can put their social skills to good use. He provides the PCs with a list of individuals he goes to for information across Absalom, telling the PCs to drop his name in conversations with those individuals to get the best scoop on current events. This grants the PCs a +2 circumstance bonus to a single Diplomacy check to Gather Information during this scenario.
NPCs Remaining:
Calisro Benarry, leader of the Horizon Hunters
Fola Barun, leader of the Envoy's Alliance
Drizzic Kruhl |
Drizzics eyes go wide as he stares at the vial.
If only I could study it instead...right have to save it for the paralyzed guy.
He snaps back to attention and secures the elixir.
"You got it boss! Maybe I could even get a formula for this after." he says with a vigorous nod and then begins looking for the next person to bother!
Alldo Nightarm |
Alldo lefts out a loud sigh. He says:
This city is overwhelming. I meeting more people today than the last 2 years.
He pauses and talks gain:
I am understading better now, the people here. So, I can put my skills at practise.
Drizzic Kruhl |
"Drizzic understands what you mean, Alldo. Almost too many people...I forget which ones I have tried to sell things too. I am ready to see those skills!" Dizzic says urging him on with pokes towards one of the other Pathfinder leaders.
Felika Elvanna |
Felika follows Squash, listening to the others' conversation, and chimes in "It's a lot of people to keep track of, but isn't it also kind of exhilarating to finally meet them all?"
