Lash Vaeledi |

Okay, I actually messed up with my numbers. I had previously had Lash with 12 intelligence and forgot I swapped it. So the result actually should be 15-1=14 for Religion (untrained)

GM NameShortage |

Lash, untrained, you can't make a DC higher than 10. I rolled Knowledge Religion for Kahli and Marcos since I'm about to go to bed and want to get the info to you. I was editing my last post but ran out of time. Kahli got a natural 20, though, so here's all the info lol
Festrog
Undead, darkvision 60ft, scent. Bite and 2 claw attacks.
Charging Trip (Ex) A festrog that hits with its bite after making a charge attack on all fours can attempt to trip its opponent (+4 bonus). This trip does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
Diseased Pustules (Ex) When a festrog takes damage from a piercing or slashing weapon, some of its boils rupture, squirting the attacker with puslike fluids. The noxious secretions carry a potent contact disease that causes those infected to break out into painful necrotic boils.
Feed (Su) Every time a festrog makes a successful bite attack, it feeds on its opponent’s flesh and gains 5 temporary hit points.
Four-Footed Run (Ex) A festrog can run on all fours at speed of 50 feet.
Shiv: If you're going to E3, it only threatens E2 and E3, so that won't trigger an AoO. However, if Lash's move action triggers before you move, she'll have to move all the way back, as the hallway is jammed up, which will trigger an AoO on her. If her move triggers after you move, you'll have to move to E2, which will trigger an AoO on you, but will allow her to fall back to D4. I hope that makes sense.
Of course that all depends on who moves where leading up to your turn.
Turn order: Marcos, Kahli, Enemy, Shiv/Caiman, Lash, Sim

Marcos Mundstock |

Marcos hears fray sounds, and a calling from Lash. Realising the alleys are narrow, he decides it's best not to be disturbing when the grown-ups are fighting. Instead, he starts talking about something he thinks could inspire them.
"Be bold, my friends, as the mighty Hector the Lonely when he resisted the demonic hordes of Hell in the battle of Aristion, alone and with only a soup spoon! He fought for days and managed to prevail thanks to his..."
Move Action: to A3
Standard: activate Inspire Courage

Kahli Salist |

Know-Religion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
The picture that I see puts me second in the line. As Shiv is moving forward I will step forward to E3 and attack.
Seeing the undead dog-thing, Kahli steps up to attack with her mace. "Don't slash the pustules on the thing! They'll spray you with the diseases the thing carries!"
To Hit: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 1 = 22

Turn order: Marcos, Kahli, Festrog, Shiv/Caiman, Lash, Sim
Here's the order of how round goes:
Marcos steps back through the party, reciting a story and lifting their spirits.
Kahli wants to swap places with Lash, so readies for her to move.
The Festrog lashes out at Lash as she's still the only one near it. Lash, you activated Snake Style as a Swift action in the Surprise round, so I'll roll the Sense Motive when it attacks you.
Festrog Bite Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 plus Feed
Festrog Claw Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Festrog Claw Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Festrog Claw Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Festrog Claw Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Lash Vaeledi Snake Style AC: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Lash Vaeledi Snake Style AC: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Lash Vaeledi Snake Style AC: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Lash manages to dodge the bite and the first claw, but the crowded hallway impedes her movement, however the second claw clashes off the wall as Lash turns to retreat, and she escapes unscathed. Cover saved ya
Shiv'Raston slides past Lash,
Festrog Bite Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 plus Feed
and evades the bite while deftly slicing into the creature, causing a spray of noxious secretions from its boils that cover Shiv'Raston.
Shiv'Raston Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
And as the creature calls out in pain and dies, slumping to the floor, Shiv feels a slight twinge of disease enter him. [ooc]We'll roll the disease stuff once you rest, as it's an onset of one day.
The explosion of sound and fury leaves as quickly as it came and, once again, all is calm.

Marcos Mundstock |

"... and thus ends the first battle of Montfort, with our heroes saving the day." Marcos ends the performance, inspiring and bolstering Shiv's heart and spirit.
Immediate action: stop performing to cast Saving Finale.

Lash Vaeledi |

Lash can feel Marcos' words infusing into her in welling up this strange effect. As he tells the tale of mighty Hector, she catches her moment of escape and deftly tucks inward toward the wall as the Festrog nips at her. She uses her momentum to "wallride" up the side of the wall with great agility, giving Shiv'Raston the opportunity to rush underneath her in a quick moment. She deftly lands in his spot and readies her arrow, but with quickness, Shiv defeats the beast. The spray and blast just seem to miss her as she sees it fall. "That could have been me!"
"Can we do anything?" she asks with great concern for Shiv'Raston's well being. "Thank you for stepping in there. I am not so great in melee combat. I think you may have just well saved me..."
With a deep breath, she will put away her arrow and look to him to see if there is anything she can do. She will pull a decorative sash hanging from her belt off and hand it to Shiv to wipe himself of the nastiness of the Fostrog.

Sim Calinean |

Taking the opportunity to enter combat, Sim quickly moves forward, raising his shield to protect himself from the creature. "Face me, oh vile creature! I'll strike you down as my honor demands!"
Move Action: Move
Standard Action: Attack with fighting defensively
Attack (gladius), fight defensively, inspire courage: 1d20 + 6 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 6 - 4 + 1 = 20

AC: 27 (19 Tch, 19 Fl) | CMD: 19, allies get +2 luck to AC and CMD while adjacent to Sim
Edit as I missed the most important part: Sim slashes the dead creature two more times before he realises it is really gone, visibly ashamed. "And... and remain down..."

Kahli Salist |

Kahli looks at the disgusting creature. "All undead are disgusting! Probably should clean the slime off of yourself and any weapons. I can cast Create Water for cleaning.... And we'll have to watch for sickness later. It usually takes a while to affect you, but it can put a person down...."
Maybe we should go back to those doors? Much as I like seeing the whole map, I wouldn't want anything coming up on us from behind, drawn out by the sounds of melee.

Lash Vaeledi |

Lash will leave the searching of the body to those nearby it. In the meantime, she will return to the door they passed most recently and will search on the way up to it and on the door itself for traps while they do.
As she passes by everyone, she will ask a question in whispering form, "I'm going to check this door, if it is not trapped, who wants to be first in?" She'll wait until everyone is ready and back with the group before proceeding.

Shiv'Raston |

Shiv will set to the gruesome task of checking the undead corpse for anything useful it may have had before being turned into an a festrog, then inspecting the pile of meat and bones likewise for anything salvageable.
Search: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Kahli Salist |

"And let me be second. If they're a number of enemies my abilities are stronger...."

Lash Vaeledi |

Lash will smile and nod to Sim. As soon as Shiv'Raston returns, she will give an okay symbol to proceed with her fingers. Creeping upward to the door, she checks all over the door, but a moment later, she presses her ear next to the door to hear inside. Worry comes over her face briefly and she'll move slowly away from the door to huddle with the group.
"Inside is a fire, or sounds of one, and multiple voices. Maybe three or four. I can't understand the language, but it's not common and they all seem male. I could see no trap on the door, nor any lock. There may be traps inside. I'd prefer we keep our eyes open in case they have set them inside the doorway. Kahli? Any magics inside?"
She will step out of the way and let the Cleric scan the room through the doorway if she wishes. Once done she'll state, "I can take the corner and shoot into the room if needed. You fighters can move past me into the room. We are going to present a sudden show of force, but let's keep in mind, these could be potential allies. Let us try to not fight and kill everything we don't have to. Agreed?"
Moving to corner in front of door and letting fighters move into doorway to open the door.

Kahli Salist |

Kahli quietly speaks prayers while Lash is speaking Guidance "Someone else will have to detect for magic. I didn't prepare that."

Sorry about the delay, all! Lots of procrastinated house work to be done today.
Shiv uses his scythe to poke and prod at the dead festrog, but finds nothing of import. Treading carefully down the hallway, he pushes aside half-chewed meat and lumps of skin draped in ragged cloth. He does manage to find a small corked glass vial.
Shiv'Raston Perc: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
He uncorks it and, with a whiff, identifies the potion as a potion of Magic Fang.
The party gets into position and Sim reaches out and places on hand on the door knob, the other holding his gladius. Shiv concentrates on any magical auras through the door, but after a couple seconds, can't detect any through the door. Sim gives a look back, confirming everyone is in position, then swings the door open.
Before Sim, standing eye-to-eye, is a green creature with a large head, who appears to have been reaching for the other side of the door. It stands there, wide-eyed for a moment, allowing Sim a chance to scan the room. The room appears to be more of the same; flagstone flooring with stonework masonry walls. In the center of the room stands a larger creature, stirring a large cauldron on top of a steady campfire. Near it is another smaller creature, seemingly cheering on the larger creature in a language Sim doesn't understand. On the far side of the room, two more of the smaller creatures are sleeping on ratty makeshift beds.
Looking over Sim, Kahli recognizes them as Goblins of various sorts. Before she's able to provide any information, the Goblin standing in front of Sim yells out, grabbing the attention of all the other goblins.

Round 1 Summary
Lash calls out for peace, but the Goblin seems to not understand and gives her a confused look. As it reaches for it's blade, she quickly lets loose two arrows, both striking the Goblin in its big head, and it drops to the ground, dead.
The two Goblins on the far side of the room respond to the commotion by standing up and grabbing their swords off the ground.
Sim pulls up his shield, shifts forward, and takes a stance, ready for whatever comes.
Kahli runs past Sim and the dead Goblin, stops on D4 (Goblin 3 is 30' from there), and Channels out Negative Energy, sending it flowing through all the enemy combatants.

Marcos begins reciting a story that empowers all his allies! +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls
Shiv and his croc run into the room, turning to the right as they enter, stopping on C5. He holds a hand out and a scythe made of energy appears over the smallest of the Goblins, and smacks into its face.
The smallest Goblin draws its shortbow and begins chanting a spell while staring at Shiv. Suddenly, Shiv feels his scythe slipping out of his hand.

The liquid makes the area, the red area, of the cone slippery (Acrobatics DC’s increased +5) until it dries or dissipates. The cone of liquid affects creatures on the ground only. Flying or levitating creatures can avoid the liquid and its damaging effect.
Top of round 2!

Lash Vaeledi |

"Fine..." she growls out as the goblin attacks and lets loose her arrows. She pegs it dead and allows her allies into the room.
A loud crash resounds as the cauldron hits and falls over. Soon rushing liquid surges up over her protective boots, burning her in a tiny way. There is a whimpering sound that comes from her as she pats her legs to relieve the pain. Once she had spilled coffee over her and her matron and it felt similar. She looks briefly to Marcos, who is fortunately spared this. For some reason, his words seem to inspire her to push past the pain.
The liquid subsides. A moment later, she will shuffle into the room and aim at one of the goblins to take fire. Seeing one seem to have a bow beginning to ready, she will take aim at him.

"I don't think we want to know. Probably Festrog soup..." she will answer, although not loud enough to disrupt the inspiring words of Marcos as he calls out his tale.
The burning subsides in her legs as the fabric cools with her movement. Her shot rings true as she pegs the chanting goblin. She can't help but grin a little bit at its frantic dance and chant, but it is the violence in his words that makes her want to continue to shoot at him. Now that there is only the one goblin left, her eyes focus in on it. It quickly draws a flask, and before she can shoot, it has flung it at the feet of her new ally.
