I'm sad to see you leaving my PbP environment. :(
I hope that that your reasons are nothing worse than a need to consolidate time for more worthwhile matters. Take care and stay safe.

Gummy, it's been a pleasure gaming together. You'll be missed and I echo GM Blake's sentiment that this is hopefully just part of better and brighter things for you in 2021 and beyond :)
Helvetica Boots

I'll miss y'all too! Y'all have always created a warm gaming environment, this is one of the two groups I will miss the most! When I make my final pull away from PbP (I'd like to give some time for my games to reach a good ending point), I'll be PMing my email to y'all for whenever you find yourselves in London/UK :)
GM, how much more of the module do we have? If it isn't too much more, I'm happy to finish it out. "Consolidate time for more worthwhile matters" is the best way to describe it, so I am able to hang on for a little bit.
| GM Blake |
There's this encounter, the RP aftermath, and then the final "dungeon" crawl. Maybe 50% of a PFS scenario?

I think that because Damiel targeted a grid intersection the blast might actually miss the children. You count around the targeted intersection to determine where the miss lands.
I marked the map with an orange target-symbol at the intersection where Damiel targeted. And I put another symbol where I think it landed, counting around the original target, clockwise, with '1' being directly towards Damiel (which is an intersection adjacent to the empty bed, diagonally opposite the original target).
| GM Blake |
I figured I'd remove the staggered, dazed, poisoned, 0 hp assassin from the board for expediency.

Sorry for my absence, I got the goblins one day and then couldn't log in for the other!

:D
Wait...hopefully DamielBot didn't actually kill him...having at least one person to interrogate would be mighty useful right about now >.>

I have been approached by GM Nowruz about a PFS(1) rotating GM run/campaign because several GMs were missing the continuity. I brought up that I was in a rotating campaign that had lost one and will lose another at the end of this module, leaving us with the bare minimum for a legal table. So I asked him how many GMs he had committed already and if there was a possibility of merging this and his idea.
So besides GM Nowruz, Mjolbeard89 and Wydroe had signed on to his rotating table. Both Nowruz and Mjolbeard have been fine in my limited experience with them. I don't know Wydroe.
What do you guys think? Do you want to try to merge? Let this go to free up your bandwidth? Keep it just the 3 of us? Recruit other interested player/GMs into our menagerie campaign?
Calamitous Zu
|
I don't have any particular experience with Wydroe (that I can recall) but I've not heard anything bad about them, either.
I've not had any issues GMing for/playing with Nowruz, though my experience is a bit limited.
Haven't played with Mjolbeard *but* I've heard good things in the past from reliable sources like GM Red, Hmm, Massee, and chadius.
Nowruz has occasionally hit me up to see if I've had openings at either of my long-standing tables but the timing's never worked out.
I'd actually been wondering if we wanted to keep this going after this module or hang it up so guess it works out that now we get to talk about it! For me, hmm...while I am making an effort to try and keep my player games at a reasonable number I'd be down to keep on with this project if you two do. Counting this game I'm currently in a grand total of 4 player games: two APs, this module, and a scenario series that'll either wrap up within one and maybe 1/2 scenarios or when the party TPKs horribly (Season 4 Lissala arc). So keeping this group on my list shouldn't cause any additional strain :)
Aurora Arulius
|
Nowruz/Noral is an enthusiastic pbp-er. I've played lots of tables with him.
I believe I have GM'd for Wydroe once and he was fine. I don't think I've played with Mjolbeard before.
It had been my intention to GM Godsmouth Heresy for this group next (tier 1-2, 3xp + 4PP). I'd be willing to do that for a merged group. It'll definitely put me at full capacity though.
(We've two scenarios to go in the Lissala arc, Zu, including the current one).
Helvetica Boots
|
I played most of the Lissala arc FtF and it was a blast. The only thing that'd up the experience would be to do it PbP (and with a character who could appreciate what was happening more)! Happy for y'all that you're in such a game series :)
Obviously I'm not involved here, but I also haven't heard anything bad about the players involved, for what it's worth.
Helvetica Boots
|
Aaaaand now I'm jealous! ;)
EDIT: I'm creeping on y'all's game now and there's nothing you can do to stop me!
REDIT: Holy Hell Supervillan, we're in like a bazzilion games together :D
| GM Blake |
Nowruz asked about interest in a 9-11 campaign. That's outside the tier of any character I have, but if that's the way they want to go, I don't want to stand in the way of you guys if you'd like to get into something like that.
He also asked what we'd be interested in. I gave him the broad strokes of why I had created this campaign and supervillain's original planned next scenario.
Calamitous Zu
|
I don't actually have any characters that fit the 9-11 tier either. Got two that are 8th but that's it. And honestly, I'm not super interested in high-level play at the moment anyway beyond the aforementioned Lissala arc run I'm playing in.
Aurora Arulius

And now I'm thinking of how hilarious it would be to be an OSHA inspector type of character, going through all the buildings of a scenario XD
I know a good auditor lol
Helvetica Boots

GM, how was the door we came in through locked?
Better question, would we need a key to lock it?
| GM Blake |
It was locked with a key. You can technically lock a lock with Disable Device, too.
Helvetica Boots
|
That takes rounds and skills Helvetica doesn't have though ;) I was thinking of locking the door when/if the afeared Skulk fled through it.
| GM Blake |
We are nearing the end. Please repost your character numbers, track, and any Day Job or Faction Card actions.
Aurora Arulius

PFS number 75577-17
Normal progression
No day job
Faction card action: Aurora will recruit the Sphinx, Jherizana, to the Darkive ;)
Recruit a named NPC scholar, knowledgeable spellcaster, or similar figure to the Dark Archive. Recruitment requires a
successful Diplomacy or Knowledge (arcana) check with a DC equal to 15 + your character level.
diplomacy DC16, take 10: 10 + 8 = 18
If she doesn't count as "knowledgeable spellcaster or similar figure" then Aurora won't be able to check any journal boxes unless we also find a named text or a unique magic item.

No Faction Journal stuff either.

^Don't you hate it when that happens?

I think our GM has hinted that we have enough evidence to get the Sheriff to shut down the rest of the guild if we want. I think we would already qualify for full chronicle rewards if that's the case.
I'm fine with exploring the rest of the building too though.
Helvetica Boots

I say we throw perception rolls down and if we don't notice the door, we go running for the Sheriff! :)
Calamitous Zu
|
^That's fine with me, especially if we can basically be done now and if it would make things easier for GM Blake :)
| GM Blake |
Jherizhana refuses to meet privately with Aurora, or any of you, appearing only for her scheduled performances.
I intend to finish your chronicles tomorrow.
| GM Blake |
Game is reported and HERE are your Chronicles.
Let me know if I made a mistake. I copied Helveticas and edited the details, so their probably full of chaos.
Aurora Arulius

Chronicle looks good, thanks :)
I'll probably get the next Menagerie game set up over the weekend, but will post in the Discord and the "planning" campaign thread.
Calamitous Zu

^Chronicle looks good, thank you! :)
That's also a pretty neato boon on there but I assume one would need the ability to have a familiar to make use of it?
| GM Blake |
That's also a pretty neato boon on there but I assume one would need the ability to have a familiar to make use of it?
No. It would be a fixed Clockwork Spy that only does what the Bestiary 3 says it does and once destroyed is destroyed.
EDIT: Note that the PFS(1) limitation of 1 combat pet and 1 non-combat pet still apply.
Calamitous Zu
|
Ahh, gotcha. I've only had experience with clockwork spies via one of the PF1 alchemist archetypes, where it's treated basically like a familiar. Good to know!
