Gunnz races for the pilots seat, seeing a number of other crew members also have flight tabs on their jackets.

Call dibs on flying! Though that said, if anyone else really wants to pilot, Gunnz always gets to do it so I can survive someone else driving for a change if you want.

Well. Starship roles....

I'm fine with Gunnz as pilot. We have lots of pilots and gunners but little else.

After a quick look it appears Yith is the only person with Engineering. It's just at +4 but better than nothing. Looks like Yith will grab engineering and look out of place. :)

Hmm... after looking at the rules, my +4 isn't going to do much at all. if we have a tier 4 ship the DC will be 16 and i'll need to roll a 12. If we have a tier 8 ship, forget about it.

Remember you can purchase an ally boon that has particular skills. That can be a good way to make up a passable science officer or engineer. Even if they are not a starship specific specialist.

While I did init, if we don't have an engineer, maybe Gunnz can get ejected down to there. She isn't awesome at it (+11) but is passable. Otherwise she is an okay gunner +10 or science officer (+11)

Thanks Gunnz. Normally i'm the 'play where you want 'guy but I think this is the first time a crew has been sans Engineer. If you can't repair the shields at least once, you lose. :)

I think the is space combat, but with an extra option for the science officer.

Which sounds like a good idea, if we can get those drones shut down that will really reduce their fire power, I don't like the idea of four torpedos heading at us each round in addition to their main ships weapons.

@DB- are we supposed to be confused by the story element here? Because I'm a little lost.

We stopped an attack on the lodge, and then I guess we have headed into space to try and track down where the attack came from?

Then the dragon hailed us and has given us his monologue prior to spaceship battle happening?

First, did I remember to give you handout 1?

HANDOUT #1: MISSION BRIEFING
Society Mission: 318-1LE-19
Destination: Triaxus, the trade port of Cumo in the Skyfire Mandate. Expected travel time is roughly 6 days. Triaxus is currently
in the winter season of a long seasonal cycle. Expect surface conditions to be frigid with high winds and low visibility due to snow.
Mission Parameters: Agents are to rendezvous with the local lodge administrator, Zafeldrin, and provide public relations support
and lodge security for the opening ceremonies of the newly founded lodge. The safety and security of lodge assets, Starfinder
agents, and visitors are paramount. Assist Zafeldrin for the duration of the event as long as it doesn’t compromise security.
Liabilities: Cumo is a known black market trade port that deals in every manner of illicit goods and services with the notable
exception of slaves. The Skyfire Mandate is a historical hot zone for past planetary conflicts and still serves as a buffer between the
Drakelands dragoncorps and the ryphorian Allied Territories. Avoid conflict with the Skyfire Legion mercenaries for practical and
political reasons, as they are the primary military and police force in the Mandate. Dragoncorps wield considerable influence and
their leadership structure allows for quick, unilateral action. The Society’s entry into the area may disrupt local power structures,
but avoid unnecessary conflict or entanglements. Tactically, expect potential adversaries to be adapted to aerial combat and lowtemperature environments.
Compensation: The Society established an incident repair fund for the lodge. Venture-Captain Naiaj will distribute unused
credits post-mission.

Then you talked with Zafeldrin the Dragon, then Handout 2, did I give you that? Handout 2 and below is where I messed up the skill checks, cause you were suppose to talk to these three people and find five agents at the same time. I also thought we were at the four player adjustment, which also affected the DC of each skill check as well as the number of checks each player can make.

invitations active and send a gift. Serozanyxia may be the best ally available in the Drakelands.
RECENT DRAGONCORPS ACTIVITY
Notes: Met with ambassador from Dretchnyliax. While the meeting offers an interesting opportunity for access to
cybernetics, I spent 6 hours removing malware from the computer systems after his visit.
Frozen Trove has shown particular interest in attending. Signal bounced from an automated freighter in low orbit.
Couldn’t confirm authenticity. Request denied.
Kelvezdreax of FlareTech offered sale of maps to a gateway to the Elemental Plane of Fire in the Caldera Basin. High risk,
low chance of success. Suitable for any agents who are bored and have a death wish.

You talk with these people at the Gala, as well as find the five agents who infiltrated it cause they used fake invitations and other means. These agents set up various beacons and other devices. You find these agents and disable the devices. These devices are not spy devices, these are bombs, well not really bombs but some sort of laser attack devices which hurt you and other guests. You then are trying to figure out who these agents work for and where to go next. You get into you Starship and run into combat. The ship you are up against is piloted by Norys. And I thought I asked this before, but who played 1-13? 1-13 explains why Norys is mad. Also if you played 1-13 with this character, I can add roleplay to it and make him mad at your specific character.

Gunnz did play 1-13. But I don't recall us meeting with Norys. Although we did thwart a frozen trove operation.

I'm guessing that Norys (white dragon after all) is tied into (or maybe even leading?) Frozen Trove?

Its your Base attack bonus plus your dex modifier (or your ranks in piloting plus your dex modifier which ever is higher) As soldier your base attack is your level or 8

The ship has computer nodes that we can allocate out to people to give bonuses to skill checks.

Often I find pilot initiative is the most important roll, so I suggest one goes that way, and after that if there are important skill checks, there, and then to the gunners (starting from heaviest weapons first).

You are chasing after the ship immediately. To go out and buy things would add days to the travel which you don't have. Unless you have the means by using fame or some boon to somehow buy things within hours in the middle of nowhere.

I must be missing something? 1st level characters only receive 720 credits if a pregen gives him credit? I thought the credit applied when he reaches level 8 and he still gets full credits but only when he reaches level 8.

• You must choose to which of your characters the credit will be applied at the beginning of the adventure. Credit from a 1st-level pregenerated character can be applied only to a 1st-level character. Credit for playing higher-level pregenerated characters must be applied to a Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild character of a lower level than the pregenerated character or to a 1st-level character.

You can apply adventure credit from a higher-level sanctioned module or Adventure Path to a newly created, 1st-level Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild character. When doing so, reduce the credits reward to 720 credits if the adventure grants 1 XP or 2,160 credits if it grants 3 XP.

Technically our Ace Pilot is our 3rd best pilot.
However the difference is just 1 point so I recommend

Captain - Ivy 'Iseph' Iridone
Pilot - Gunnz
Science Officer - Colthan then switch to Engineer
Engineer - Colthan
Gunner - Obozaya
Gunner - 'Xy Xy'

Being lower level isn't great :-(
The other advantages to having someone other than guns fly is a slightly better AC due to more piloting ranks.

All of that is just game mechanics. Gunnz totally wants to fly. Sky jockey also means she can get a little more speed out of whatever we end up in.

I’m happy to let the Ace Pilot fly - makes most sense from an RP place, Xy Xy has piloting as a back up really ^^
