Keskodai casts a glance across the catwalk to make sure that both Obo and Raia are still alive -- and remembers that Raia is invisible. He then moves to Iseph's side before continuing his assault onto the red bully.

Barsala downs the remaining goblin at ground level, while Iseph takes out the bully.
The attacks from Keskodai and Bruneau can be redirected to new targets on the catwalk, but will both miss.
Raia spots a retinal scanner on the door, and then proceeds to work on unlocking it. The electronic lock yields to her skill and releases.
Door is unlocked. She can open it and go inside next round.
Up on the catwalk, Obo has arrived. The two goblins find themselves trapped between her and the bully. Taking their chances, they drop their guns and charge at Obo.

Barsala can't find a good angle to hit the bully, but as Bruneau crosses the floor, she gets a great shot off at the bully, striking them in the side as they face off against Obozaya. The bully ducks under Obozaya's swing, and yells at the cowering goblins, whose cries only intensify.
Raia approaches the computer, as sparks shower the area from the mainframe terminal which takes up the southern wall. Exposed wires are visible under the bulk of the equipment.

If we have the time, Bruneau can also interrogate the goblins.
We've got a good cop slash bad cop situation going on here. You can tell me what you know about this place or... I nod towards the Vesk. Obo here will smack you so hard your little goblin grandma will feel it.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
GM Wolffauer
Obozaya intimidation was too polite to have much effect, but Bruneau feels she is making progress with them, but it will take more time. You can give me another diplomacy roll after 10 minutes of trying to get them to open up to you.
Meanwhile, Raia starts looking into the mainframe guts. First thing she spots is the charred corpse of a goblin. The goblin is wearing a collection of bits of wire and computer parts, and it looks like they were trying to repair something when they got electricuted.
Taking due care and building on the repairs that the goblin had started, Raia is able to finish repairing the damage to the mainframe. Raia thinks she'll have better luck accessing the computer now.

Hey... goblin, goblin, goblin, gob, gob... listen, listen. We are... space pirates! And we are are likely to kill ye as to toss a few shiny gold your way... for the right price. Shiny shiny gold. Yeah. That's right. I have one for each of you that can tell me about this moon. And the one that tells me the best info gets TWO shiny bits!"
I have some gold decorative bit sewn onto my tunic and I will snip them off and bribe the goblins for more info.

Keskodai -- Pregen
Keskodai dusts his clothes and wanders around the party, offering bandages and medical aid as needed. He even pulls a few bottles of water from his belt.
Great fighting! Please, hydrate as needed. Pharasma does not appreciate desiccated corpses. It is hard to tell if the shirren is joking or serious.
Seeing that Obo and Bruneau have things well in hand, the shirren decides to go and check on Raia. Raia? Everything alright, over there?
GM Wolffauer
Raia fires up the computer and begins working. The login screen asks for a 7-digit numerical code, but she is able to work around it. After a minute of work she gets through and brings up a list of operations she can perform:
• Turn the hangar’s lights on and off.
• Activate or deactivate any electronically sealed doors.
• Silence the alarms pinging within the room.
• Pinpoint the source of the mysterious signal.
• Adjust the ambient temperature between 66° and 78° F.
She also discovers a firewall protecting more functions. Another computer check to try and get through the firewall
--
Bruneau continues working on the captured goblins, but her offers fall on deaf ears. "We no need your trinkets!" No luck with the bribe. You can keep trying other methods to bring them to your side.
The Archer's cockpit sits mostly intact at the far end of the hanger.
Anyone want to do anything else?
Obozaya_TR
Raia gets her hacking on! Computers: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
She also shares the options available to the group, waiting for their input, though it all seems quite simple.

Keep an eye on them, I'll be right back!" Snarling at the goblins, Obo goes investigate the cockpít, remembering there was something about some tools they were supposed to find or something.

No trinkets, huh? Bruneau mutters.
How about space travel? Wanna get off this rock? Because I have a ship and I could take two of my favorite goblins and drop them off on some other... nearby rock.

Obozaya_TR
"Hey Raia, maybe we should kill the alarms then get a source on the signal? No idea what else is ahead but no alarms seems helpful!"
"Sounds good enough to me!" answers Raia as she turns the lights on, opens all sealed doors, silences the alarms, pinpoints the signal and sets the thermostat at a perfectly balanced 72º. After seeing what is behind the firewall
GM Wolffauer
Getting into the cockpit proves to be a little difficult. The aft end is buried in debris that will have to be cleared Strength check. You might be able come at it from the other end, heading outside and trying to remove the cockpit's viewing ports Engineering check.
--
With a crack of her knuckles, Raia sets to work hacking the firewall. Though difficult, she manages to get through. Beyond the firewall are a few more controls allowing her to deactivate the mainframe's alarm and shock grid countermeasures. With full access to the system, Raia is able to create a link to her personal datapad, allowing her to control everything from remote.
--
Bruneau keeps at the goblins and gets them to start talking. She learns that they and the others came here when the Archer smashed into the hangar bay. The goblin reluctantly offers, through gritted teeth, that their glowing green god stopped granting miracles. Due to this ominous portent, the space goblin wire-shaman, Gutproud Techtalker, brought them here to salvage the wreckage while she sealed herself away within the glowing green chamber to commune with the god.
Any questions for them?
Obozaya_TR
Obo grabs onto a large piece of debris and starts yanking it out of the starship, GitS style.
Strength check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
"Grrrrrrrrrr!"
---------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Raia comes out the other end of the computer room, her invisibility probably gone. "This computer is all hacked out, I've taken control of most of the place! We can move forward" She waves her datapad to the group.
Keskodai -- Pregen
Keskodai nods appreciatively at Raia's results and heads back to where Bruneau is still interrogating the goblins in time to catch their blabber about their "glowing green god" and their "wire-shaman". The shirren listens intently, then communicates directly to the party telepathically.
If we convince them we want to help, that could be our key in. I'd suggest using this religious figure as a leverage, even though we don't know if it is truly a god.
Keskodai stays silent for a few moments, then thinks to the goblins:
I am a... shaman, as well. Maybe we can help Gutproud. What kind of 'miracles' did your god grant you? Do they have a name?
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
GM Wolffauer
Obozaya tosses debris out of the way, revealing a way into the damaged cockpit. Once inside she is able to access the ship's audio logs Posted to the slides. She also finds a locker which has become jammed shut in the crash You can try to smash it (attack) or break it (strength) to get it open.
--
As the lights come on, the goblins look at each other with a bit of surprise. They answer Keskodai, "That! That is one of their miracles! We only know them as the green glowing god. Gutproud may know another name."
Pregen Dakoyo
|
Thanks for the excellent botting. I presume with all the hacking the invisibility has expired.
Raia moves carefully toward the others. "I've also got a lock on the signal."
GM Wolffauer
Obo tears the door off the locker and is rewarded with a leather tool harness embroidered with the name “Livewire.”
Bruneau Havelok

Bruneau asks, a little confused The green light is a miracle? Impressive...? I mean, impressive! Very God-like. What are some of the other miracles performed by The Glowingness?

Iseph takes the tool harness.
”I am glad that we can fulfill our promise. The Ysoki’s family will be glad to get this I assume!“

Raia stalks the catwalk, looking for anything unusual.
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Actually not sure exactly where everyone is. Raia's headed toward the goblin interrogation, possibly by a circuitous route.
GM Wolffauer
Raia turned on the lights in the hangar when she finished hacking the mainframe. It was that which the goblins reacted to.
"They open doors, and make rooms warm!"
Nothing else of interest is found in the hangar or cockpit.
GM Wolffauer
The signal is coming from a good ways under your current location.
GM Wolffauer
No need for more diplomacy at this point, they'll gladly answer any questions you have - just have to ask.
The two goblins look at each other, and one shrugs. The other turns back, "We don't know any signal, but if you want to go underground, that will take you to the spirit hole." They then point at the door to the north.
Keskodai -- Pregen
Keskodai chimes in:
Is there some sort of... passcode, or a greeting, that you use to communicate with other goblins? So we can let them know we do not mean harm?
GM Wolffauer
One goblin pointedly looks at the bodies of its comrades, before saying "No." The other pipes up, "Gutproud could take you where you want to go safely."
Keskodai -- Pregen
Keskodai follows the goblin's gaze and looks at the amassed bodies for an instant while listening to their reply.
Pharasma has welcomed them, I am sure. Let us rejoice for them. But if the time has not come for your living brothers, there is no reason for us to haste their demise.
Without waiting for a reply from the goblins, the shirren turns toward the rest of the team. It seems like this Gutproud figure is the key to this mystery. Shall we get going?
