Ohrmizd hovers on his flying carpet, the celestial light radiating from his halo illuminating the desecrated temple and the vile gnolls below. With a voice that reverberates with righteous fury, he calls upon the divine power of Sarenrae to punish the heretics defiling her sacred ground "You foul desecrators, unworthy of the light of day! Your vile presence taints this holy sanctuary, and for that, you shall burn in the purifying flames of the Goddess! By the power of Sarenrae, I condemn your heresy!"
As he utters this blistering invective, the power of Sarenrae channels through him, manifesting in a searing burst of divine fire.

Hovering above on his flying carpet, the divine light from Ohrmizd's halo continues to shine brightly, casting long shadows of the fleeing and burning gnolls. His voice, imbued with the authority of Sarenrae, rings out across the temple grounds, compelling all to listen "Kneel and repent, foul gnolls! If you seek the mercy of Sarenrae, you must prove your sincerity. Cast down your weapons, prostrate yourselves before the Goddess, and beg for her forgiveness! Only through true repentance can you hope to escape her divine retribution."
He watches as the divine flames keep purifying the temple from the vile presence.

There are no gnolls seen who want to take Ohrmizd's offer, but there are no more gnolls approaching or coming out of the temple.
Heshan who is already inside the temple finds at least two more dozens of gnolls and an impressive gnoll in full heavy armor decorated with the insignia of Rovagug doing some ritual stuff on the repurposed altar.

He follows carpet-flying after Heshan and Omari, and quickly rushing to the ritual, he renews the powerful light of his halo, cutting through gnolls left and right as he approaches the ritual while he repeats his previous words of divine grudge "Kneel and repent, foul gnolls! If you seek the mercy of Sarenrae, you must prove your sincerity. Cast down your weapons, prostrate yourselves before the Goddess, and beg for her forgiveness! Only through true repentance can you hope to escape her divine retribution."

With a solemn tone, he begins a prayer, his voice echoing through the temple "Great Sarenrae, Dawnflower, Everlight, I, your humble servant, pledge myself anew to your sacred cause. I vow to cleanse this holy temple of the foul taint of Rovagug and restore it to its former glory. Guide our hands and hearts as we reclaim this city in your name, and may your light shine ever brighter upon this land"

The gnoll priest has on him a wand of cure moderate wounds (27 charges), an amulet of natural armor +2, a masterwork full plate, +1, a greataxe, a belt of giant strength +4, and a key.
The mess that the church is houses no more valueables, but only gore and garbage. At the opposite side from the altar there is a door that leads to other rooms. The corridor behind reveals four more doors.
The closest leads into a small room that once held the priests’ vestments and religious paraphernalia, but not it is ruined, despoiled and looted.
The next was was formerly the living quarters of the high priest of Sarenrae. The once luxurious furnishings have been irreparably soiled and smashed. A small coffer under the bed contains blocks of foul-smelling incense, three vials of unholy water, and a pouch of powdered diamond (worth 600 gp).
Next is the private chapel for the priests of Sarenrae that now reeks of blood and urine, its mosaic floor ruptured with gaping cracks. The southwest corner hold a hidden cache behind a loose stone the gnolls overlooked - within are 7 potions of cure moderate wounds.
The last - iron-bound - door is locked, but the key found with the gnoll opens it. Within the room, in a pitiful state of deprivation and torture, are three acolytes of Sarenrae, all that remain of the priests of this temple.

Ohrmizd picks the natural armor from the priest and leaves his +1 one for the others if they like.
As the group advances through the spoiled rooms, the faithful of Sarenrae frowns "This is heresy. They are a bunch of uncivilized folks"
Once they open the last room though, his face turns a bit more bright "For the Dawnflower! You are alive! Are you ok?" the Keleshite checks for the wounds on the acolytes "Where is the high priest and the others?"

Ok, I was waiting for Foxy to answer Ohrmizd, but ...
Omari calls everyone in close with the abused acolytes, and once they are there, he unleashes Erastil's healing, letting loose a wave of positive energy.
Channel Energy, Healing: 7d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 3, 5) = 33
He then turns to Ohrmzid, "We are going to have to leave them here. They can't come with us, it would be a death sentence for them. Trying to sneak out of Kelmarane on their own would be a fancy way of committing suicide. They can stay in this locked room until we come back for them; that's about the safest we can do..."

"I could carry them in my whirlwind form out of the Temple," Hazreem suggests, "If they are not...afraid of heights that is."
| Omari the Landless |
@Hazreem, you realize that carrying someone in your whirlwind form does your slam damage to them every round?

Sorry I had not realized Hazreem has no control over his Whirlwind. Guess those priests are on their own :)

"Let the flame protect us" Ohrmizd answers and also thanks Omari for the healing "My friend here is probably right about leaving to be too dangerous despite we have cleared up the way to the gate and bridge exits"
"Waiting here some time is wise. If we are not back by the end of tomorrow though... that means bad for us, and you better take your chances while you are free" the Kheleshite suggests.
"I guess we are headed to the Tower next" he tells the party then turns the acolytes "Do you know about any other danger Davashuum has left in the city we should deal with before heading into the tower?"
