On the ground floor against the far wall seen from the door, a gleaming ramp of bronze curves clockwise out of sight below the floor. Following this you walk into an unlit area. Fixing this, you see the walls here are smoothly shaped stone, and the low stone ceiling is peppered with a number of small stalactites. A brass door stands in the middle of the western wall next to a fearsome demonic statue carved from a single block of obsidian. A table and two large chairs sit under the ramp in the northern part of the room next to a large keg.

Are you fixing this unlit condition with darkvision, or light?

As Davashuum crumples from the force of the blow, Ohrmizd breathes heavily, softening Zenzirad's grip as he stands over the defeated janni "We will take you back to your people, so the shame my finally render some sense on that hard wits of yours. There is always a path for redemption"

While the others search the room and the bodies, Ohrmizd takes the key found in Davashum and attempts to open the strongbox with it.

Then, while the others talk, he checks the map and the documents around "Sorry to interrupt, but it might be we do not have as much time as we thought. See this? They thing the Pale Mountain is about to burst" he looks at Heshan and Omari "And we know what is there. The House of the Beast... where Nefeshti though Jhavul to be. We then might not have the time to rest here or interrogate Davashum"

Looking down the tower he adds "We should bring him to Nefeshti. Inform her the town is liberated so her people can secure the place while we head after Jhavul"

As about the basement, Ohrmizd concentrates on his heaven's light, and the halo hovering over his head starts to shine brightly offering pure daylight to bring back the darkness.

Little can withstand the fighting powress of Ohrmizd and Omari. The stone golem is not in that group. After two brutal hits with the blade and a hand full of arrows make the statue crumble.

The efreet have a large breastplate and a large finely made falchion each. And the remains of the stone golem are a necromancer's wet dream.

The one door in the western wall is locked.

The door opens to Ohrmizd's magic and behind lie four prison cells. The northern cell holds a gnoll slaver imprisoned for breaking curfew who pleads for his life in broken Common.

A total of four human townsfolk are confined in the two western cells.

The southern cell is the current home of Haleen.

All of them have seen better days and the bad treatment combined with malnutrition has left all in a state of bad health.

Heshan looked worried at the current state of the prisoners. "Do not worry. We have food for you to take." After handing the prisoners some of their rations, he continued speaking. "Are there other prisoners in the area?"

Omari ignores the gnool - not being inclined to grant him his life, but unwiling to execute him in cold blood (for now) - and says "Hello Haleen, we are here to rescue you again..."

As he talks, eyes sharpened he sweeps the rooms for traps and other dangers - and maybe some keys to open the cells... (he also mutters some cantrips - guidance, detect magic)

Ohrmizd surveys the room, his eyes scanning over the weakened prisoners. With a quiet resolve, he begins helping them, offering support where needed, making sure they get food and water. But then, in the corner of his eye, he spots Haleen.

His breath catches for a moment, memories rushing back. With a subtle shift, his composed expression softens, and a warm smile touches his lips as he moves towards her "Haleen," he says, his voice carrying a mixture of relief and charm "Even in these grim circumstances, you somehow manage to be the most striking sight here" his tone playful "You know, if you had told me I'd find you locked away, I would have fought Davashum's armies a lot sooner"

"The key is with the efreet guards outside. You haven't by chance found my stuff?"

Haleen is very uncomfortable with the situation. No armor, no weapon, and her once fancy clothes are mere rags hanging from her maltreated body. Her self image doesn't fit with being on this side of the rescue.

Searching through, he picks up the set of keys, opening the prison for Halen and the others.

Ohrmizd then unlocks the remaining door to see if the equipment is there.

There is nothing to be seen on the whole floor that contains or could contain gear that was taken from the prisoners. Looks like they didn't want to make it too easy for a prison break.

G@& d~$n it, I just lost a whole post... Ok, the gist of it was, I think we're done with combat encounters here. Let's loot everything in the tower (and the path here), and grab the assorted prisoners we are rescuing, and get out of here. Once we're someplace secure, we can question Davashuum. Between him and whatever documents we find, I'm pretty sure we'll know where to go next...

And there is a ton of stuff we need loot/add to the loot page - there's all those Jann captains, starting back at the 5 guarding the bridge, the patrol that showed up,
two more at the gatehouse,
6 more captains inside the brazen tower. Also, we need to properly search B12 and B13...

Shaking down Davashum: potion of cure serious wounds (3), bracers of armor +3, Maelstrom (+1 ki focus shock thundering quarterstaff), ring of protection +1, key, bone holy symbol of Rovagug (radiates abjuration magic)

As for the lost post: back in the day when the boards where highly unstable I wrote posts in an editor and copied them into the browser only to send. In the meanwhile Firefox remembers everything filled in, together with the last pages and even if the boards have a hickup, going back one page gives me my text back. Not sure what are your post, but maybe one of those is an option to prevent that in the future.

Ohrmizd looks at the coin, then raises his gaze "None of this is going to help us much. Let's hurry up to meet with our allies. Maybe we can retrieve from Davashum what is this devastation he talked about"

Then resolves to get out of the tower, assuming it is possible with Davashum laying defeated and on the group's hands.

As the group walks he checks with Haleen "So, do you know what has been of the Princess and Garavel? We have not found them yet."

We'd found most of that already, HERE, except for the holy symbol. But another search of Davashuum wasn't what I was after. I want to search B13, the room where all the flesh golems were...[/ooc]

The holy symbol is a key to a magic portal. It has no note attached to what portal.

The holy symbol is the only thing listed as treasure of B13 and is described as 'carried by Davashum', but wasn't listed with his gear.

Once we have gathered all the prisoners, slaves, drudges and other wounded (including PC's) in one place, Omari calls on Erastil's power to heal them...

I think I have enough subjects (14) that everyone should get some healing...

Ohrmizd nods in agreement "It seems we're all thinking the same thing. Jhavhul's trail leads to the Pale Mountain, and that's where we will find answers... and our boss"

He pauses for a moment, glancing at Haleen, his eyes softening briefly while Omari dispenses healing "We'll make sure everyone’s healed up first, but the path is clear"

With that, he turns toward the exit of the tower, motioning for the others to follow. As they step outside, he takes a deep breath, the desert air a reminder of the looming battle ahead "We should meet Nefeshti and her forces. Davashum needs to face justice, and maybe she can help us get the information we need from him"

He leads the group toward their allies, ensuring Davashum is secured, ready to hand him over to Nefeshti.

Most of the prisoners are braught back to full health with the healing magic from Omari. They thank you all repeatedly for the release from prison and the healing. One of them has another request.

"Have you seen my daughter? She was dragged away by those awful people too." Ahmad inquires.
