Iris just got an idea. As she knows the flight number and time of arrival, she wants to switch the display of its arrival and show it arrives at another gate, one far enough that anyone wanting to meet Tharsa would miss her. People waiting for the other passengers would be inconvenienced too, but their lives are not in danger.
She starts approaching the flight schedule board to look if the plan is doable.
My idea is only to hack the displays, or the computers behind them; hacking the whole system is probably to time consuming/troublesome. So first Iris needs to find how and what to hack, then to find another gate to redirect to.
If she can’t hack the system, she would have another option: use Holographic Image to change the displays. The first level option is just visual, so it should be enough. It needs constant concentration thought.
That plan would not work if the arrival are announced by someone or a voice. Iris would try to pay attention to the next coming flights and how they are handled at that gate.

Nice idea, but you know (possibly from previous experience yourself) that the attendants at the gate will announce that the liner has just docked, and the passengers will be disembarking shortly. You could still do it and buy yourselves a round (or 2) before the gate attendants catch on and start to correct things though.

Chryssi steps away from the desk and whispers to Keskodai. Maybe you can confuse him? Convince him you're his contact and send him somewhere else?
She then sends a general message to the team Anyone good at picking pockets? There's a lady here who should be relieved of her weapon - just in case

As Chryssi and Darkrunner move closer to the gate desk to see that one of the flight attendants is writing something down
Let me know if you know Aktonian as a language otherwise it's going to take a culture check for a clue on whats she's scribbling downWhile the other gate attendant ask how they can assist the human woman in front of the desk who replies:
"Don't worry your pretty little head honey, I'm just getting closer to I can take a good look at the flight schedule board"
Sense motive on her statement
Sense motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
She glances back at Darkrunner and can't resist teasing him as well Enjoying the view? she purrs.
Unbelievably, the android gets flabbergasted and the circuit patterns on his face turn red. I... what would I... let's just continue.
However, he plays it up and takes the opportunity to make a go at the hidden firearm that Chryssi subtly pointed out.
sleight of hand: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
Later as they walk away from the desk to join wit Keskodai he whispers to her We make a decent team. Good thinking creating that embarrassing distraction.
Darkrunner knows Akitonian.
If there was anything noteworthy in Akitonian he also tells her about that.

![]() |

Thanks. replies Chryssi quietly. And I guess I should apologise for the tease - especially since we're on the clock. Velloro's reaction was so amusing that it was tempting to see if I could off balance an android as well. Personally I don't give a squat what anyone thinks. But yeah ... mind on the job.
As she talks, she glances around the seating area to see if anything else looks suspicious.

Darkrunner knows that the womans claim to want to take a closer look at the schedule board is a lie and that the woman’s true focus is on the nearby gate doors.
Just benign specs about shifts and crew on flights, along with snide commentary about the annoying parts of the job of a flight attendant - not more information the Chryssi already got
As he bumps into her and reweaves her of her static arc pistol without her noticing her she turns around and smiles at him
"Well hello there sugar" before she goes back to studying "the board"
Chryssi glances around the seating area and after dismissing the very distraction person wearing a hat in the center of it all her eye catches a human man wearing some peculiar headgear among the smattering of civilians. The man’s mask covers his eyes, but he appears to be dozing based on how his head droops and snaps up.
The mask is a low quality vision aid and a gas mask that provides sense through (vision [smoke only]).
You also think that someone can disable fraying wiring at the back with some engineering knowledge. And even could do it stealthy without waking someone up
Through the view ports you can see a Starship arrive. It's going to be any minute that it's docked and people will start to leave and arrive through the gate.

Chryssi isn't quite sure so she'll report that to the rest of the team before going over for a closer look.

In the rejoined group Darkrunner reports on the desk attendant to the group.
I think she's waiting for our guest too. Her "board" was nothing but snide comments about passengers, and I caught her lying about concern with board details. She's watching that gate like we are. I think we need a plan to draw her away. Oh, and I lifted a static arc pistol off of her...

_Velloro_ |

Velloro comes to join Darkrunner-42 and Chryssi.
"I can talk with the lady, you see I can be very persuasive." speaks silently Velloro
I moved Velloro avatar I hope this is the place.
He casually approaches the lady and looks at the schedule board speaking to the lady telepathically and including in that Chryssi and Darkrunner-42
Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
"You came here not to study the schedule board. You are interested in one of the passengers that will come through that gate. We relieved you from your weapon unless you want to be taken down here and now, I suggest you to run. I will send your picture to the local authorities in 10 minutes giving you a head start"
Then he looks at the lady and says:
"Kate? How long has it been, let's make ourselves a picture."
He grabs her by the arm and takes a selfie with her and his obnoxious hat.
What a roll :(

Chryssi looks horrified at Velloro as he grabs the lady. And I thought you were a gentleman she hisses, clearly angry. Typical male
She then finds a seat next to the sleeping gas mask man to have a closer look at his head gear - still seething from Vellaro's behaviour.
She also makes a mental note to buy a cloak, preferably in black.

![]() |

The woman turns to face Vellero, one hand on her hip and the other one right in front of his face
"..EXccccussssseeee meeeee, what did you just say to me? You better not have said what I think you just said"
--------------------------------------------------
Other than Obodaya who still get's to finish/continue to interact with the gardener (if wanting to do so) you all have one round to do stuff now
*Ding Dong*
One of the attendants at the gate presses a button and starts to announce that the liner has just docked and the passengers will be disembarking shortly.
Most of the people present look up from what they were doing and either stand up to get closer to the gate to pick-up whom ever they were waiting for or at the very least look up from the datapads they were reading with the latest gossip or start to gather the children running around everywhere and/or start to put thing back into the backpacks they are carrying.

![]() |

Darkrunner is going to focus his attention on the problematic person by the desk. He whispers to Chryssi, nodding in the woman's direction. She's going to soon realize what I relieved her of, though not that it was me. Still, she may have had other weapons hidden, we should watch her closely.

_Velloro_ |

Now excluding the lady from his telepathic message he contacts Darkrunner-42 and Chryssi.
"I need your help, she did not respond well to my threat."
He glances at them and is shocked by the expression on Chryssi face.
"What have I done? I would invite that lady for dinner if she was not one of the bad guys!"
Says desperately Velloro.

![]() |

You were lucky she didn't slap you .... or worse Chryssi sends back ((assuming she can)) You don't just run up and grab someone like that? Girls are people too. Show some respect next time

![]() |

Just going to give people a chance to do something if they want before moving the story further tomorrow. If everyone is just waiting for the doors to open and your guest to arrive that's fine as well
Obodaya - was trimming plants next to someone who clearly doesn't know how to do it by cutting plants with her claws. - You can intimidate if you want, or otherwise interact with him since you are a few actions behind.
Iris still has an action left to do something as well

![]() |

Darkrunner walks over to the woman, strategically between her at the gate itself to interject himself into the altercation.
What seems to be the problem here? Did my friend offend you? I'm sure we can resolve this.
Diplomacy, but it doesn't matter...: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

_Velloro_ |

@GM I assume that Velloro can't attempt again to intimidate her? If so he waits for the development of the situations. @Chryssi yeah telepathy works both ways. btw I
"Hey! Don't start on me with 'girls are people'! Of course I know that. I treated her the same way as I would treat a male, host or any other sentient being! On Akiton women gladiators would fight man and each one of them would win the glory and respect just the same way. Accuse me of not respecting other alien boundaries but not of disrespecting women. "
He clearly is agitated and his face turns colors which might look odd to the lady that he attempted to intimidate.

![]() |

@GM I assume that Velloro can't attempt again to intimidate her? If so he waits for the development of the situations. @Chryssi yeah telepathy works both ways. btw I
Not to try to do the same thing, you don't look very intimidating to her now. You could still try to intimidate her to demoralize her though (normal use of intimidate as a standard action to make her shaken for a round..there doesn't seem to be a limit on how often you can use that
Darkrunner's attempt are met with a cold stare from the woman
"_You_ are with _him_?!" she huffs through her nose
As Obodaya confronts the gardener he becomes extremely nervous and moves away from the Vesk as he start to sweat and shiver all over his body effectively he now has the sickened condition
Effects you managed:
"Gardener" starts sickened
"Nice woman" has no blaster
You've spotted a few more people which might cause problems but haven't done anything to them

The woman next to Vellero takes a step towards Tharsa while fumbling around in her clothes trying to get to her blaster, can't find it and throws you guys a very dirty look.
The man in the kiosk walks outside and pulls out a grenade and throws it on the ground causing a massive smoke cloud to form. The Garderener does the same...causing an smoke screen to fill a large part of the area causing even more panic and obscuring vision and a lot of coughing from bystanders.
This makes it harder to aim through the chaos of fleeing bystanders for 1 round. If this chaos is triggered, anyone taking the time to ensure their ranged attack doesn’t hit bystanders if they miss takes a –2 penalty to their attack roll. The mercenaries and anyone else who does not care if they hit bystanders don’t take this penalty.

Obo holds where she is and readies her flame doshko to charge any enemy that emerges from the smoke.
Darkrunner carefully aims to avoid hitting one of the innocent bystanders running around and turns out he's aiming a bit too on the save side and hit shot goes high
