Edwin J. Whiskers, Esq.
Will (confusion), shaken: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 2 = 18
Edwin came to his senses and ran away in fear.
Edwin has a Medium Load due to strength loss: moving at 15 ft rate. AC reduced to 22.
Xindyra Brenna
I don't know if Zendara has means to heat the alchemical silver. If she does, could she step away and help coating my rapier? If not i'll get to attacking when at home.
DM Fang Dragon
Edwin has 5x alchemists fire on his character sheet. I don't think Zendara has any fast means of creating a fire unless I missed something.
@Edwin to clarify you are under the effects of a suggestion to go away from the statue/barrel, you are not frightened/panicked. You can do something else this round as long as you stay away (avoid line of sight), e.g. pass or use an alchemists fire or toss a bomb, etc.
Xindyra Brenna
How did the moth move into the next chamber, i didn't see mention of it.
"Huh, summoning vermin now."
Xindyra jabs at the bat.
Boosted dex & heroism, inspire song, shaken: 1d20 + 10 + 4 + 2 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 4 + 2 + 2 - 2 = 29 Dmg, extra dex, inspire song: 1d6 + 5 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 3 + 2 = 11

Could have sworn I wrote a description of it flying there, sigh... Anyway everyone except Edwin gets an AOO.
Xindyra Brenna
Aoo, boosted dex, heroism, inspire, studied combat, shaken: 1d20 + 10 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 2 - 2 = 24 Dmg, extra dex, inspired, studied strike: 1d6 + 5 + 4 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 4 + 2 + (6) = 21
Yukarii
Yukaarii will swipe at it but she can't hurt it. Yukarii doesn't have a weapon in hand.
DM Fang Dragon
Any actions this round Yukarii? Also Edwin doesn't have to run away as mentioned yesterday.
Zendara
I'm assuming that when Xindyra suggested silver weapons that Zendara switched to her silversheen longsword, so here is the AOO roll for that:
AOO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
silver/slashing damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
_____
Still singing, but not happy that she somehow let herself get backed into a corner, Zendara swings viciously at the bat, trying to fight her way out of this claustrophobic situation.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
silver/slashing damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
DM Fang Dragon
Edwin I track this for you, please see the Buffs and Debuffs spoiler in my combat posts. Right now I think you have: Mage Armor, Message, Shaken, Inspire Courage, Suggestion (2 rounds), strength -4
Yukarii
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Yukaari made a rude gesture at the moth as it flew away and dusted everyone. Then a big bat suddenly appeared and Yukarii stepped back from it as best she could in case the thing could somehow reach her. She focused her thoughts and emotions sending a beam of red fiery energy at the bat.
scorching ray w/into melee/IC/Shaken: 1d20 + 5 - 4 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 5 - 4 + 2 - 2 = 214d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 4) = 15
confirm???: 1d20 + 5 - 4 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 - 4 + 2 - 2 = 104d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 1, 3) = 10
Yukaari then moved, dragging her hand through part of the bat to be obnoxious, to shield Yukarii from any retaliation.
DM Fang Dragon
As the nightmare moth fluttered overhead, Zendara and Xindarya's swords flashed out. Xindarya connected, striking it deeply!
Sorry Edwin I want to keep things moving forwards and it's been a few days so I'm going with your original action.
Edwin runs away in fear.
As a reminder if you can see the moth (and don't avert your gaze) you need to make a DC 14 will save each round or be confused for that round.
Zendara will DC 14: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 <--- PASS
Zendara's silversheen longsword scored a long gash in the side of the bat!
Something seemed slightly weird about it, although she wasn't quite sure what. You have interacted with it and may spend a move action to make a will save to disbelieve.
Yukarii takes a step to give her line of sight, her concentration didn't waver despite the hypnotic patterns on its wings.
Yukarii will DC 14: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 <--- PASS
Yukarii's spell summons a beam of intense heat which leaves a deep burn along in the moth's abdomen!
As the bat recoils from Zendara's strike, Xindrya's jabs at it with her sword which sinks in deeply! You have also interacted with it and may spend a move action to make a will save to disbelieve.
The bat tries to bite Zendara but she finches away at the last moment.
Giant Bat vs Zendara: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 <--- MISS
The nightmare moth casts a spell and suddenly the area is plunged into darkness!
Environment: Inky black darkness

Edwin was running away as per the Suggestion.
Edwin gathered his wits and empowered his blade, preparing to face the creature from his nightmares.
Using Legacy Weapon as a Standard Action to give his rapier the Bane property for one minute.
DM Fang Dragon
Clarification: disbelieving the bat is a free action for those who have attacked it. Likewise if you make the spellcraft check then it's a free action to disbelieve the darkness.
Zendara
Zendara thinks something is strange about the bat, and wonders if it is really there.

OK Xindrya made the save vs the bat so Zendara has +4 on her roll and passed that save. She knows it's a fake and it immediately appears as translucent for both ladies before the lights go off (it does 1/5 damage now). Xindrya I think you have a 50% miss chance due to darkness, don't worry you've pinpointed the bat.
Zendara
Oh, I have darkvision as well, so if it isn't magical darkness, then I think I am good as well.

Its pitch black but not supernaturally dark so humans are out of luck but Aasimar etc are fine. Just waiting for Yukarii's action now.
Yukarii
Yukarii had no problem seeing through the darkness that had been cast, it was such a simple thing it was almost laughable. She lined up a shot at the moth and let loose with another scorching beam of heat
scorching ray w/into melee/IC/Shaken: 1d20 + 5 - 4 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 - 4 + 2 - 2 = 104d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 1) = 7
Meanwhile Yukaari continued to screen Yukarii from any possible attacks.
DM Fang Dragon
Edwin focused power into his rapier and it gained a sinister purple gleam...
Xindrya's sword bit once more into the Bat which popped in a cloud of smokey blackness before fading away to nothing. She advanced upon the moth which tried to bite her but she ducked and tumbled beneath it!

Edwin used his boots to increase his speed, countering his encumbrance somewhat. He raced out into the main part of the hold, only to mistake Zendara for the enemy.
Activating Sudden Speed (Sp) as a swift action. Hero Lab reports his movement speed as 45 ft with a medium load (Str penalty). I'm not 100% sure how this combines.

If Zendara get's confused next turn, we may have a confused-locked duel until one of us drops. :(
Zendara
So, Edwin pointed out that I have to attack him this turn rather than rolling for what to do. Thus, the below is heavily edited.
Feeling accomplished that she had successfully dodged the moth, Zendara is surprised to feel a sword slide into her back.
After it is withdrawn she glances back and sees Edwin, his scimitar dripping with her blood.
She tries to disbelieve it, but no matter what, he is still there... an enemy.
Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
She stops singing in her shock and attacks Edwin, moving to the side so that he can't flank her anymore.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Silver/Slashing Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Seems weird to have a constant confusion effect that keeps being able to work on you even after you save. Deadly.

I was waiting for Zendara, perhaps this game slipped through the cracks.
The befuddling impossible nightmarish patterns on the moth's awful wings caused both Edwin and Zendar's eyes to loose focus. Confused the pair of them mistook each other for enemies and attacked! Edwin's Scimitar cut into Zendar's side but the little ratfolk danced back from her counter attack.
To be clear next round (if its somehow alive) you need to roll a fresh will save. If you succeed you are not confused for that round.
Clearly shocked by this Yukarii hesitated. I'm going to give her 24h to post before botting, for now I'm treating this as if she deferred.
Xindrya Will DC 14: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 - 2 = 22 <--- PASS
Xindrya was on a mission though and with textbook precsion, lunged impaling her rapier almost up to the hilt in the moth's abdomen. It let out another painfully loud trilling hoot that set your teeth chattering.
The moth fluttered about drunkenly, dripping copious disgusting ochre colored liquids.

Got time to post now.
Casting a spell at something you're not looking at is tricky but Yukarii knew exactly where the moth was. The trio of missiles slammed into its side, rupturing its already compromised abdomen and sending it spinning. It flopped to the floor like a deflated balloon and twitched a few times before becoming still.
Some of its fluids had splattered into the toothy mouths of the statue and for a moment there was a flicker of an oval light above them before it winked out.

Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Edwin didn't understand what had just happened. He came out of his mental fog and realized what he had just done, apologizing profusely, "Zendara, I'm terribly sorry! I don't know what came over me. Here, take my healing potion!"
He took a vial out of his haversack and offered it to her. How could he have thought that she was an enemy? Was he going mad?
Taking out a potion of cure light wounds and giving it to Zendara.
Zendara
Zendara backed off from Edwin and said keep it in an unfriendly tone.
She casts cure light wounds on herself, twice.
Cure Light: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Cure Light: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
When she feels better, she prestidigitates all the blood off so she doesn't look like roadkill and examines the statue (still staying well clear of Edwin).
Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
but she doesn't get any insight about it.
Zendara
Zendara moved back into the hold, trying to be certain that they had killed whatever was giving the hold that creepy feeling, and also keeping an eye out for anything that they missed due to avoiding the area.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
DM Fang Dragon
Sorry thought I'd posted an update but I hadn't...
Zendara checks the hold out thoroughly, the statue is decidedly creepy (the stone eyes almost seem to follow you about - probably a trick of the light) but the suggestion effect has gone.
She finds a small tin among the wreckage containing some old merchant league coinage from about a century ago.
1d10 ⇒ 5 x10 = 50gp in loose coins of various denominations .
Zendara
Zendara collects the coins, and then asks everyone if they should take the statue back.
Then,
Anything else we need to do here, or check, or are we ready to head back?

Inspired kn arcana: 1d20 + 10 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 10 + (1) = 14
"This is truly an awkward piece."
As she curiously approaches with a fingertip, she notices the mouths open, then pulls back.
"And it's seemingly hungry. Ya i'm not touching that barehanded."
Yukarii
Know (arcana): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Yukarii was glad the fight was over and everyone came back to their sense but they still had the creepy, possibly moving, statue to deal with. Yukarii considered their options in dealing with it since they didn't even know what it was. The only thing she could come up with would be to try using psychometry on it...she really didn't want to touch it though.
Yukarii looked at her companions and said, "I could try to use psychometry but have to touch it," she looked very stern and added, "I don't want to touch it. It seems evil, and maybe alive...." Yukarii had a nasty idea about then and said, "I think we should knock wreck loose and send statue to deeps." She didn't know quite how to say what she wanted so her words were a bit mangled but she figured the others would understand her well enough.
Watch the statue freak out about this if we all agree.
Edwin J. Whiskers, Esq.
Edwin didn't know much about the statue, and really had no idea what they should do with it. "Should we perhaps consult with Dr. Munroe and Professor Dexter?"
The fact that we all bombed the knowledge check puts us in an awkward spot.
DM Fang Dragon
Goodness the dice bot was not kind. Well you have no idea what the statue is but its an item of note along with the pottery and the journal. Essentially you have the best items from a Kez expedition a century back, you can guarantee the archeologists will be interested. You can fit all the other stuff in the hold but the statue is largeish so it would be very awkward (not impossible) to fit it in too if you wanted to take it. Would be much easier to do two trips. Also it's a two person job to lift it... It's also super creepy and you may decide it's not something you want on the Dawntreader. Anyway let me know what you do next.
Zendara
Why don't we wrap something around its head so it can't see us or eat us or whatever, and then take it back and ask the professors? It will be awkward seating, but I'd rather not have to come back for it if Doctor Munroe absolutely has to examine it, and you know he will say that.
She looks at Yukarii
And if it moves while we're carting it over, even a little bit, then we'll toss it out to fall forever.
Is that a compromise we can work with?
If everyone agrees, then she puts both her waterproof bags over the head, tying her rope very tightly around the neck of the statue so that the bags can't come loose. Then she helps load it into the shuttle with everyone and everything else, and then attempts to pilot them home.
Profession: Airship Sailor: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Edwin J. Whiskers, Esq.
Edwin assisted Zendara with loading the statue onto the shuttle. He had misgivings about bringing the object to the Dawntreader, but he was sure that the archaeologists would be keenly interested in it. Maybe they would know more about it?
