OK, this round you have control of the Abyss. These are the potential effects you can achieve. Valrar, let me know what you want to do, feel free to be creative.

Quake: Each creature standing in a 20-foot radius must attempt a DC 20 Reflex save or fall prone. Fissures open in the earth, and every creature on the ground has a 25% chance to fall into one (Reflex DC 20 avoids). The fissures are 40 feet deep. At the end of the round, all fissures grind shut. Treat all trapped creatures as if they were in the bury zone of an avalanche, trapped without air (Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook 429). In Subtier 14–15, increase the DC of the Reflex save by 2.

Meteor Strike: Two meteors strike the battlefield, as per the
spell meteor swarm.

Acid Bubble: An Abyssal bubble bursts, spraying acid on all
creatures within a 20-foot radius. This deals 10d6 points of acid damage (Reflex DC 21 half ). In Subtier 14–15, the damage increases to 13d6, and the saving throw DC increases to 23.

Abyssal Minions: The dirt of the Abyss squirms with life, as
a 20-foot-radius spread of grasping claws springs from the ground. This functions like a black tentacles spell (CL 15th, or CL 17th in Subtier 14–15).

Other: The PCs could potentially create other effects, such as altering terrain features or even creating crude structures from thin air. Allow them some leeway in how they decide to shape the Abyss, especially if it creates fun or cinematic effects.

Abyssal Attunement: You no longer take penalties on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma based skill checks based on the difference between the Abyss’s alignment and your own. Additionally, you are particularly adept at manipulating the raw substance of the Abyss, an ability that will have mechanical benefits in your encounter with Koth’Vaul.

Initiative: You gain a +2 bonus on initiative checks.
Epic Strikes: Your attacks with natural and manufactured weapons bypass DR/epic.
Mythic Power: You gain two uses of mythic power per day. You can use this power in the following ways.
• Surge: After you fail any check that uses a d20 roll, as an immediate action you can expend one use of mythic power to roll 1d6 and retroactively add the result to the check.
• Extra Action: Up to once per round as a free action on your turn, you can expend one use of mythic power to take an additional standard action. This action cannot be used to cast a spell.

Last question. Is the green vrock threatening me from its current position?


They are not, they seem incapable of much of any sort of actions on their own behalf. The goblin tentacles are slowly crushing them to death. The cultists may have an effect but the only stats for them pretty much are AC, saves and HP. Killing them may hve an effect on the game but they dont seem to actually be capable of doing anything.

Neither of the demons are currently within the storm, it is only 20' high. Both are too high to be affected. The ghouls cannot reach Koth'Vaul, he is flying. They can benefit from haste but the only demon in range is green. I assume the ghouls also move in on green. I am not sure which token is the ghast but I assume it doesnt move in or it will potentially sicken your party membes.

As the four ghouls close in on the vrock it lashes out around it, clawing and tearing. Each is torn to shreds as it approaches!

The vrock shudders under the suffication spell but throws off the effects. It glares balefully at Vladek, you will die slowly and painfully mortal. It throws back its head and gives vent to a horrific screech

Going to pause here to see if Rogar or Vladek want to do anything about their saves. I will move us on in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the spores continue to burrow into Alie, Qadathra and Rogar.

I'll try bringing down a Meteor Strike. I think I can catch both Koth'Vaul and the cultists if I target between them, so no one has a penalty to the saves.


Valrar brings a pair of rocks crashing down onto the battlefield, the cultists start to burn but make no sound! Koth'Vaul shrugs off the damage with no apparent harm and mutters, Pathetic at Valrar.

The scenario doesnt provide a DC for the meteor strike so I am going to assume it is the same as for acid burst

Oops, I missed that you can move the windstorm, OK, that will apply. I thought there were four ghouls and a ghast but I see now there were only three. Sadly all four still die to opportunity attacks as they move in

The storm force winds tear into Koth'Vaul and the vrock, doing little damage but causing them serious flight issues!

Vladek floats to the ground, stunned by the hideous noise!

Bauble strikes at the enemy Vrock, cutting two deep gashes in its flanks and causing it to bleed heavily!

Koth'Vaul, buffeted by the winds, finds himself unable to easily manitin his position. He glowers at Valrar, SO BE IT INTERLOPER, THE RIFT IS MINE! he thunders in Valrars mind and speaks a word of power. Valrar finds his mind assailed and he crashes to the ground, landing prone, his blade bouncing out of his hand. Koth'Vaul then flies forward to threaten both Valrar and Fendahl! Meanwhile, vines continue to grow out of Valrar's arms.

Valrar is stunned, he falls to the ground taking 16 damage, lands prone and drops his weapon. He takes 1 spore damage.

The blue vrock flaps its wings, readjusting to one side out of the windstorm and launches itself at Bauble. Unforutnately for it the windstorm clearly distracted it as no attack even comes close, it fails to even remmove a mirror image. However, the spores do continue to eat into Bauble.
