Shenanigans: Jahz can add weapon enhancements with his song - given the name of the scenario, ghost touch could be useful. The trick is that the weapon has to already have at least a +1 enhancement bonus. He can also affect anyone benefitting from his song with Superstition (just like the barbarian rage power) to grant a +2 morale bonus on saves against spells and SLA (with the caveat that you have to save against friendly spells too). To top that off, he’s got defensive and buffing spells like saving finale and moment of greatness. Normally he tries to help by flanking, but he might be staying more towards the back this time.

Shenanigans: Arnold bravely bounds ahead on his mauler familiar, a small wallaby made medium. He shares his combat feats with her. This allows the pair to charge through allies and difficult terrain with their Jade Ogre style (Dragon Style). He also has Martial Flexibility to give them both other feats as needed. He charges whenever possible and is quite good at it.

I put myself as first in the marching order, but if anyone else wants to be there, feel free. I figured I should as the highest-level meatshield in the party. But Arnold is effective anywhere in line, as he can charge through allies and it gives him more room to do so.

I still have purchases from after the special to figure out. But most of it will probably go to a magic belt.

Shenanigans: Kahwen has a double Archetype: Scout and Swordsmaster. Scout lets him apply sneak attack damage whenever he charges. Swordmaster lets him enter trances which replicate stances. The first is Crane which gives him boosts to fighting defensively. The second is Dragon which is the same as Crunch's Jade Ogre style (lets him charge through allies and difficult terrain. It takes him a full round action to go into a trance, though and lasts only 6rds per day.

He has debilitating strike as a rogue (which I always forget to apply) and Quick Getaway as a talent (which I always forget to use.) He also has Resiliency (which I always have to use) which gives him temporary Hit Points equal to twice his level (12HP) for 1 minute when he goes to O HP or below.

As a Model Pathfinder, I'll also be providing one of the following bonuses to each of the 3rd level characters - a +1 bonus to AC, a +1 bonus on all saving throws, or +1 hit point per level.

I think Greenclaw (known in this scenario as Boftil) is the only one I’ve GM’ed before, so I’ll give the rest of you a bit of what you can expect from me. I don’t pretend to know everything when it comes to Pathfinder rules; most of you likely have been playing longer and know the rules better than I. If, more likely when, I err, call me on it as you see it and I’ll fix it; I have no qualms about retconning if I screw something up. You won’t hurt my feelings as I like to think I don’t have much of an ego. My main goal is that everyone will enjoy themselves and have fun.

As a GM, I usually post at least two or three times a day, sometimes more, and try to keep things moving along. I don’t expect that much posting from my players, although you’re welcome to do so if you wish, but I’d appreciate if you could post at least once a day and once over the weekends. Real life comes first though so please let me know, if possible, when you may have a hard time posting. If I have to bot you, I’ll check your profile for botting instructions; lacking that, I’ll bot you conservatively equally considering the best interests of the character and the party.

As far as initiative goes during combat...for those players in the same initiative block, I usually play things out in post order as opposed to initiative order as I’ve found that moves the combat along more quickly. But if it’s a situation where it’s more beneficial to the party to play the block in initiative order, I will do so.

Looking forward to running y’all through this scenario. While we won't start in earnest till Monday, I'll be making an initial post in the Gameplay thread to set the stage, allowing your characters to introduce themselves and get acquainted...I'll also post the initial Knowledge checks for what you might know of the area before you start the mission...

I forgot my newest Rogue Talent, btw. It's Bleed. It probably won't matter much given what we're probably going to run into but any time he does sneak attack damage, the target takes 3 Bleed damage.

I am thinking the +1 to all saves may be critical, especially for someone who tries to stay out of melee.

Standard Operating Procedure - Raelene will attempt to make sure Mage Armor is active before entering any new area or known threat area. If no one more reliable is willing to use her wand to cast this on her regularly then she will UMD it whenever needed.

GM - I'd appreciate it if you would assist with tracking time for this.

I will also likely cast Bless at the beginning of any combat encounter unless requested not to or we are facing a bunch of undead grouped up withing channel range and she wants to introduce them to Sarenrae's light before they scatter.

While exploring and as needed, Raelene can Detect Magic. She can also bestow Sarenrae's Guidance at will, so don't hesitate to ask for it.

No worries, Raelene. From their prior experience, Kahwen and Boftil would tell you mage armor will be appropriate just about from the time you reach the top of the tower. I’ll do my best to give you an idea of how much time has passed but you can always ask if I forget...

Whenever you enter a new area, discover loot or check corpses, I’ll assume you detect magic.

Quick questions about raging song, because I'm too tired to think very hard at the moment.

First, I took the shock ability for this combat to simplify. But can I choose to get a further +1 (weapon is already magic) in the future instead of the picked ability?

Second, it looks as if what abilities the affected weapons get are locked in for the song's duration. But do you (Jahz) just choose one, and each person gets that? That's what it looked like.

I’m pretty sure Jahz sets the enhancement (+X and/or special ability) when he starts the song, and that it applies to everyone without modification. I’m quite happy to hear what enhancements people might think would be most useful for the future though!

I certainly thought about it! But it was late and I didn’t know what weapons everyone has (like Boftil’s hammer, which wouldn’t benefit from Keen). We’ll find a perfect enhancement for every situation - don’t worry!

I am not trying to be annoying with the constant focus on our new friend. I am playing Raelene as feeling a little out of her depth and over-focusing on something she has been told she needs to work on.

In reality, she is mostly a GM credit build so I haven't played her enough yet to have a strong sense of her personality and she really is mostly a support character.

A heads up that I will be heading out on a family holiday from 11 December and returning on 19 December. We will be on an island cruise with no internet access during this time.
