Watanabe saturates the room with arcane energy, right when his teeth feel tingly he concentrates on the adamantine ring on his finger and recalls a spell he's cast many times.
Arcane beacon for +1 caster level. Then cast comprehend languages from arcane bond. Duration in 30 minutes.
"Prayers and curses to Zyphus, whoever wrote it is clearly insane." Watanabe looks at the zombie and asks rhetorically, "Was it you?" He writes the translation next to the notes.

The zombie is not behind a barrier. There is a clear window that looks out onto the large desert area (where you fought the critter in the shell).

As Barlespin begins the process of sealing the door shut and marking it there is a sound from behind you, from the way that leads to the desert area. It is a scraping sound as if something is being dragged along the metallic floor.
