Yes, go ahead and dot into the Gameplay thread as you sign up to let this appear in your active campaigns.

I will need information for your chronicle sheets.

I'm looking for at least one post per day and preferably two if able. My goal running games is that I'm making sure there is some action you can take each day. That might mean new information in a social situation or a new combat round.

Going into the event I would ask that you all have "Botting" instructions on your profile for your character. I tend to use them more in specials than other games and having them at hand helps me a lot during each of these specials.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

As we get started I do have another set of questions about your characters.

There are a number of scenarios within (and around) the Tapestry that are referred to in this adventure.

Have have you played any of the following scenarios on this character? If so, which ones?

#3-12 Wonders in the Weave I
#3-14 Wonders in the Weave II
#3-20 Rats of Round Mountain I
#3-21 Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment

Alright, I've just saw the notice about the delay of Gameday. This event will not be starting next week and instead will be delayed two weeks.

A quick overview of the Hao Jin Tapestry

Hao Jin
Hao Jin was a powerful spellcaster from the continent of Tian Xia. She held great magical power and was a devoted worshiper of Abadar. She lived for a lengthy period over three centuries ago. Over the course of her life she was killed several times and, stories say, she was reborn again and again. With that she became known as the Ruby Phoenix.

Hao Jin Tapestry
The Hao jin Tapestry was an artifact she created as a gate way to access a demiplane of her own creation. Within she stored monuments, cities, lore, and people she collected during her travels, generally to preserve against the threats at the time. At this point there are a great number of communities from across Golarion within the tapestry, each of which whom have spent many generations living out their lives within this demiplane. Knowledge of the tapestry and the demiplane were rather limited in Golarion with only few fragments hinting of the item's purpose.

Pathfinder Society's Acquisition
After Hao Jin's disappearance, and assumed death, three centuries ago a Temple of Abadar acted as executor of her will and, according to it, held a regular martial arts tournament. The winner would be able to choose one item from Hao Jin's collection. The Pathfinder Society joined and the team was victorious in the competition about six years ago. They chose the Tapestry as their reward.

Recent Legacy
The Pathfinder Society began by using the tapestry to explore the wealth of secreted away locations, people, and relics. However the Aspis Consortium had a major interest in the demiplane and it was only with a lot of major battles that the Society was able to secure the demiplane for themselves. Since then, new discovers allowed the tapestry to be used to allow rapid and easy teleportation around the world. That brings us to today.

and if we're not using the aid token, can we boost it and send it to another table?

Prank War Map

Aid Tokens represent aid you are getting from the various other Pathfinders in the area. They don't require actions to interact with them. You can activate and boost them without spending any actions from your turn.

Boosted effects. Some aid tokens might come to our table with boosted effects. You can consume these boosts for the listed "Boosted effect" in addition to the normal effect of the benefit.

After you use a token, or decide it won't help the party right now, one person can attempt to boost the the token using one of the listed options below. This will improve it for a later table. Whether you were successful or not it is passed to another table for them to use.

It is very important to keep these moving. If you are planning on holding onto an aid token longer than a day then it should be passed to another table.

Here are the benefits of the aid tokens you can activate for your table tier.

Allied Offensive: An NPC ally aids your attack, increasing damage dealt on one attack by 2d8. In addition, after the attack, characters attacking the target are considered flanking it until the beginning of the attackers next turn.
To Boost: Succeed at an attack roll vs AC 20.
Boosted Effect: Increase damage dealt by 1d8.

Burst of Healing: An NPC ally heals of the PCs for 3d6 points of damage.
To Boost: Expend one use of positive energy or cast one spell with the healing descriptor with a spell level 3 or less.
Boosted Effect: Increase healing by 2d6.

Coordinated Maneuvers: An NPC ally assists a PC in performing a combat maneuver. You use this before rolling, and you may roll twice on a combat maneuver check and take the better result.
To Boost: Succeed at a combat manuever check against CMD 20.
Boosted Effect: The combat maneuver gains a +2 bonus.

Provide Spellcasting (must be boosted): Gain the benefits of a spell cast by an ally listed on this token.
To Boost: Cast one of the following spells: lesser restoration, neutralizing poison, remove curse, or remove disease.

Share Knowledge (must be boosted): Gain the benefit of a Knowledge check or a Spellcraft check to identify a magical item. Benefit depends on the success of the 'boosters' check.
To Boost: Succeed on a Knowledge check of your choice.

Timely Inspiration: An NPC ally grants the benefits of a bard's inspire courage bardic performance (+2 bonus), as Thran, for 3 rounds.
To Boost: Expend 3 rounds of bardic performance.
Boosted Effect: Increase the bonus by 1.

As this section is beginning to end I wanted to check with the party where you wished to go next. Again you can return to any place you have been previously, but these are the areas you have yet to go to yet.

Mission 2: Our ratfolk allies in Round Mountain sent out a call for help. The entire mountain is unstable, and dangerous creatures abound! Secure passage to the Pagoda of the Rat.

Mission 3: The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment has flourished since we cleansed it of corruption, but now its leader falters in the face of the tapestry’s chaos. Go to the temple and set things right.

Mission 5: The Aspis Consortium poisoned many of the tapestry’s residents against us. Three factions have nonetheless agreed to meet with us. You must convince them to trust the Society in this desperate hour.

Mission 6: We know of a mystical fountain that never runs out of water and so could help with the tapestry’s repairs, but it has stopped working. Secure this eternal water source.

According to James Jacobs, a jump can be part of a charge.

The quote from James Jacobs is reaffirming that the 3.5 FAQ, first post in that thread, was still true in Pathfinder. The question asked if either long jump or high jump could be used as part of a charge. The 3.5 FAQ answered that you could make a long jump as part of a charge, but doesn't say that you can high jump.

Charging is restricted such that you can't charge something if anything slows your movement between you and the target. For high jumping, you aren't trying to go forward, instead you are trying to turn that forward motion to gain extra height away from who you are charging. That seems to be incompatible with what a charge requires.

Before this combat ended, I wanted to ask about what the party wishes to do next. You can continue to combat undead, but if you want more variety you could also go to fight the astral invaders, even though it would take about 10 minutes to navigate to the invasion points.

There are reports of the astral invaders at the Pagoda of the Rat in Round Mountain, at the Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment, and moving through the desert destroying ruins.

If it's going to be more of the same undead/doing the same encounter over and over I'm for switching as well.

If it's new types of undead for each new encounter I'm fine with staying.

***Aid Token #7***

Passing To: Passing To: GM BlazeJ

Boost: Burst of Healing
Boosted By: The acolytes of the Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment

Prank War Map

Over the course of the adventure you have gained the ability to special boost all for of the options on the aid token once each.

Each one allows you to boost the token (sometimes with an extra benefit) without spending any resources (except for provide spellcasting, you still need to cast the spell to perform that one).

You can both use the token and boost it. When you use the token, let me know what you want boosted.

Again, you can use the special boost on every option once without needing to make a skill check and you should do those rather than trying to save them.

Prank War Map

We are getting close to a point where they party will have an option as to the difficulty of the encounter.

If all of your agree then you will be presented a greater threat than the normal encounter.

You must all agree to this or I'll run the normal difficulty encounter. It is perfectly fine if you wish to not opt into this and if you are not comfortable with this you can let me know here or by PM if you prefer.

There will be multiple chances to do this, but I'll need to know as I'm setting up the encounter.

Let me know what you each think about this; if you rather, at least for now, encounter the normal difficulty encounter, or if you wish to fight the more challenging encounter. Again, I this is an opt in situation, if any one of you just doesn't say anything on this, I'll run the normal difficulty. That is perfectly fine, but I want to make sure to give you the experience you are all looking for.
