Kahwen soon finds that he is very fast while flying and hurls himself at the Phoenix like a bullet (which is a new thing he's learned about.) He makes a straight line from beak to toes, sword tucked in at his side as he hurtles toward the guardian.

Kahwen easily avoids catching fire though the damage the bird dishes out is enough that it would normally have knocked him out. He's been doing this long enough to have a certain roguish resiliency, though, a very useful talent for someone who is so fragile who insists on charging in all the time.

One second the tengu is with you, nearly pummeled to death. The next, he simply vanishes.

You reappear in the Grand Lodge next to the Hoa Jin Tapestry. You can convince Aram Zey to send you back in by spending 2 Prestige Points—with the current state of the rift, there is little risk for further damage to the tapestry.

The sword idea is a good idea, but you gotta be in range of everyone to make use of it. You've got a 40' speed right now so move up to the front and inspire away!

Dale winces as he sees their Vanaran start to sling some knuckles. "Ahh, I worked with a fellow Vanaran named Monty for quite some time. He was partial to a staff, and then later an ancient flail that spoke Azlanti. It was quite rude most of the time." Dale is easily distracted.

Three giggling gnomes dance within the herky jerky conveyance, distinguishable from one another only by their blue, pink, and green afros. The three clerics of Nivi Rhombodazzle raise their fuzzy dice holy symbols over their heads and send forth a burst of healing. Then, the clown wagon takes off in clatter of unicorn pony hooves, rattling traces, and gnomish hilarity. "Took the liberty of giving it a little boost, ladies! You earned it!"

Brutally battered and bruised, coursing with a hundred crackling bolts of electricity, the ruby phoenix

Dale pushes his hair back out of his eyes as he sees the faux phoenix flummoxed by a furry fisted fighter. Positively pumped, Dale pirouettes, but only plainly. "Great work! Who's hurt? I'm not seeing Kahwen... I suspect he's been Banished from the tapestry. Hopefully he survived." Dale frowns for a moment, disheartened, at least until he remembers the material he gathered from him earlier.

"Can't help that now. The feather can be used to resurrect someone who's perished, but we don't know if he did or not. And its our only chance to fix the tapestry!" He points at the feather and hollers to their resident wizard "Put that thing to use fixing the tapestry, I gotta heal these guys and fix it too!"

Ok reading back through the last couple pages: We've acquired 2 feathers: One was gifted as empowered, and the other we just earned. We also got 2 soul stitches from the Bodak. I used a soul stitch during this fight as the bird was feared. So we've got 1 stitch and 2 feathers now am I right on this?

Also: Would the GM please post updated HP totals? Am I correct in Dale being the only one that can wield a healing wand? The more time I have to spend healing the less time I can spend repairing the tapestry.

Dale looks at the tattered ruby feather that Kimiya picked up. It looks like a weaker version of the empowered feather he used earlier to help repair the tapestry. To make the task easier, the alchemist also used a 'soul stitch' recovered after the battle with the bodak.

Kahwen is more than a little surprised to find himself outside the Tapestry. At least, that's where he assumes he is since it seems like he's back in the mustering chamber. The tense, worried Aram Zey nails the identification for him. All around more Pathfinders appear.

He feels more than a little woozy so he drinks the Cure Serious Wounds potion he received at the very beginning of this little adventure.

He pulls out a second potion and puts it up to his beak then rethinks things...

THEN as he's being sent back where he came from, he drinks the potion of invisibility that they looted from the Astral Invaders.

Ok thanks for the clarification. Maybe Aroden could use his stitch with the new feather to repair? Dale needs to use his actions to heal and self buff.

Dale's actions are dependent on whether anyone else can provide healing to the two injured. I forsee a similar start to this battle as the last...

Seeing the fresh bird flying in Dale consumes another of his personal concoctions, then offers to heal either Quillen or N'Aranav with a wand.

Effect
Range personal

Duration 1 round/level
Description
Upon drinking an extract created with this formula, you make a significant change to your magical reserve that modifies the nature of all bombs you create and throw during this extract’s duration. This effect on your magical reserve has no effect on any discoveries that you use to modify your bombs, but you can only have one admixture effect (formula with the word “bomb admixture” in its title) active at a time. If you drink another bomb admixture, the effects of the former bomb admixture end and the new one becomes active.

When you throw bombs, they can only hit a direct target; they do not splash. However, the bomb deals its base damage plus double your Intelligence modifier instead of just its base damage plus your Intelligence modifier.

"Zpread out from ze fiery balls!"

Quillen first spreads out in case the Fiery Bird lobs a fiery attack from a great distance. Then, he quickly attempts to use his wand again to mend what little remains of the burns from their last foe.

He'll stay 15 feet up, moving to hover above the rock I placed his icon above.

Instead his wand emits a high pitched squeal of noncompliance as the halfling gives it a look of disgust and nearly hurls it into oblivion. Instead, he tucks it back into his belt and looks to his companions.

He'll ready to attack if he's approached for melee, saving his 5ft step to close within the creature's reach in such an occurence.

You have two rounds' worth of actions, after you take one of the three options available to you regarding the ruby phoenix feather.

If it's ok, I'm amending my action. Moving and getting the crossbow means I can only attempt the climb twice. Not sure how high the cliffs are or which direction the next phoenix is coming from. Move, retrieve, climb, climb, climb should hopefully get me near the top of the appropriate side.

Kassen's Blessing boon from Crypt of the Everflame. "You carry a small charm from the spirit of Kassen. You may reroll a single attack roll, saving throw, or skill check after the roll is made but before the results are revealed. (i.e., I know I got a 21, but I don't know if that is a failure.) Prompted by Dale and assisted by N'Aranav, Aroden expends his soul stitch and focuses his keen intellect--and a bit of luck--on repairing the rent fabric of the Hao Jin Tapestry.

Like Dale the Sage before him, the wizard manages to manipulate the magical power contained within the ruby feather, consuming it, and its ashes begin to float away on the breeze.

But then the ashes ignite into magnificent ruby flames that rise through the air, drawn toward the colossal ruby phoenix.
