Lidia is still down strength and needs a strength boost in order to use her bow effectively, right?.
Ben enlarges himself and debates within himself who he should cast his strength spell on.
Change in plans, Ben will enlarge Lidia. I think she only needs 2 strength, right? He will do the bull's strength on Little Buddy since he has three attacks.

"I would say fighting a pair of giants is a problem, particularly if we want ii to be over quickly with no alarm raised."
Lidia*

Stooping a little now in her enlarged state, Lidia gives Ulretha a little nudge. "Wanna get the door?" she asks.
Ulretha
|
"It would be my pleasure, milady," Ulretha responds with friendly mocking doing the best imitation of courtly manners one might expect out of a gnoll wearing heavy armor and covered in humanoid feces holding a greatsword in one hand and opening a door with the other.
"You're looking particularly attractive, by the way," he says, looking up and down her enlarged form.

This large, open chamber has been thoroughly gutted. Where smaller rooms once divided this hall, only the remnants of former walls remain, leaving exposed joists jutting from the stone walls like branches.
The reason for the keep’s most recent renovations is immediately evidenced by the hall’s current occupants: a pair of hill giants. Even with 10-foot-high ceilings, the giants can’t stand completely upright, and having to stoop for so long has made them grumpier than usual.

Ben and Little Buddy get the jump on the giants blocking any means of escape. Little Buddy even manages a bite at the calves of the giant.
Lidia fires two arrows, which much to her disappointment shrink as they are released from her bow. This unexpected change in mass affects her accuracy and the arrows fly high and wide.
Ulretha demonstrates Gorum's might, landing a tremendous blow on the second giant. Only Crezobill of the Pack gets a hold of the giant's leg but fails to trip it.
In response to Thyste, the first giant says, "I'm the hot sister." the other response, "The hells you are.". The question, more effective than the attempt to steal the great club.
Kioshi moves up. (I have indicated a safe pit option for you even with the sloped edges).

Lidia*

I should have read the description of the Enlarge Person spell before I let Ben cast it on Lidia. Not only do the projectiles go back to normal size after being shot, but Lidia gets a -2 penalty to her Dex and a -1 attack roll penalty. She gets no benefit from the spell at all. But I suppose Lidia wouldn't know any better and wouldn't have stopped him anyway.
Lidia looks at her hands as if they were foreign objects and confusion furrows her brow. "What's wrong with me?" she mumbles in frustration, then pulls out another arrow and tries once again to attack, going down on one knee first to get a better angle.

She gets no benefit from the spell at all.
Well, you get to keep your STR bonus... and being tol means you can more easily avoid shooting through allies' spaces.
Whether that's worth it at any given moment is, of course, situational.
| GM_Grandlounge |
Sometimes as a GM I will mention these things if I catch them soon enough, but when I don't it allows for a real in character war-table strategy session which is also good. It's good to have characters grow. So, I will mention now that enlarge person is dismissable, but that is a standard action.

I thought you were still suffering strength drain and could not use your bow without penalties? Is that not the case? If so, you are entirely correct and that was a wasted spell. Oops.

Both Ulretha and Fazingar take impressive hits. While Fazingar yelps in pain, Ulretha just shows his teeth, not in a growl but in a grin of satisfaction as his opponents actually prove formidable.
Gnoll and hyenas move to engulf the giantess who's clothing has been stained green with mold, assaulting her with blade and bite.
His hatred for the beasts that killed his whole tribe only fuels his attacks.

They are far more eager than accurate.
Wow...out of the last 6 attack rolls, the Pack has only scored double digits on the die once.

Thyste attempts to flirt the giants into surrender. Lidia can't get a handle on her new body. Little Ben swings and misses, which could be said about Thyste too. But, Little Buddy manages to get some damage in. Ulretha slashes the giant's back as she turns about trying to keep an eye on each opponent. The pack flank and distract but don't pierce the hyde of the giant.
Umlo's Warhammer lands hard on the wound opened by Ulretha. "That's for the bears you skag. I could us a flank!"

Ulretha

"Ha! That's why you're my favorite, Fazingar!" Ulretha shouts as the hyena with the red tinged collar nimbly dodges out of the way of the giantess' attack causing her back swing to be off kilter and miss him too.

Sorry guys I have been rolling well. I will turn around soon I'm sure.
Ben reeling from the attack, tries to strike back but the blood in his eyes burns and he misses. Little bitey gets another strike in though. Ulretha opens the stomach of the giants but she remains standing. Crezobill bites into the wound dragging out a spleen and the gaint falls.
Fazingar and Onnikka move to the other giant and attack twice and drag the giant to the ground. Thyste moves in. Lidia heads over switching to melee and lands a strike across the jaw of the downed creature.
Umlo crushed the skull of the second giant leaving a bloody mess. His face stained red as he smiles wider than you have ever seen.

"Can you get this giant spell off me? It kinda messes with my coordination." she asks, a trifle plaintively.
Ulretha

"And so my might is proven once again!" Ulretha declares when Umlo smashes open the skull of the one the pack knocked down. He brandishes his sword overhead. "Praises to Gorum!"
"And blessings to you for demonstrating your endurance," he says to Fazingar, calling the hyena close. His hands glow with white light for a moment and some of the hyena's wounds close.

Ben cancels the enlarge person spell and looks a little confused.
"You mean the size was not helpful? Well, I suppose it might not. I just thought with you weakened it might help."
"What do we do with these bodies. I don't expect they will fit down the crapper, but maybe we can make it look like they fought each other. In any case I'm not up for another fight after taking that beating."
Lidia*
|
"Leave the bodies here. There's no time to do anything with them. We need to head up to deal with Grenseldek right away." says Lidia as she retrieves her bow.
"Which way do you think? These big doors in the middle?"
Lidia checks the middle doors to see if they are locked.

"I'd rather head to the church and get healing. Right now I'm almost useless in battle. Either that or use up the wand of curing. Is that what we prefer?"
Ben bought the wand for the group so he feels like ne needs to ask.
Lidia*
|
Lidia nods. "Use the wand. We HAVE to keep going now. We can hide after she's dead."
She takes a step toward Ben.
"Think about it. Right now they probably think the incident with the dam was just an unlucky natural occurrence. But when they find the two guards outside Grendelsek's door dead and that sewer grate off, they're going to figure out what's going on. Then Grendelsek might get herself 20 guards, or move and hide somewhere, or most likely of all, come looking for us and burn that little church down with us inside. This is our chance!"
"Once she's dead you know what'll happen -- this place will break into warring factions, and that'll do half our work for us."
