Big John |

”Bullocks! Elk down!” John announces.
DM how likely is it I can 5 ft step and fed a healing potion to the elk? One AoO? Or is that suicide? Does John think the elk can last another round?

Big John |

Thank you Faerieth. In that case . . .
John had held his battle fury in reserve hoping to face the Hobgoblin leader. But things were looking dire now and he didn’t want to be caught in a flanking position now that the elk had fallen.
He unleashed the fury on the injured hob foot soldier harrying him.
”Where is the damn dwarf!? The Doc would have gone down fighting with us! Hold still you son of a b~*&@!”
John reverses his swing and hurls the leering demon head of his flail towards the hob’s chest!

He ordered pointing at the goblin behind Big John hopefully letting the man focus on the Hobgoblin sergent. The part wolf part dog spun and ran forth charging back to the main fight now. The dog ran right beside Faerith as it leaped into the hobgoblins jaws snapping and trying to take him down off his feet.

arrowed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

The Goblin |

Sometimes the dice roller seems to hate a character. For instance, I have a rogue that has failed nearly every pivotal perception for traps or disable device roll he has made over almost three real life years of play In Mummy's Mask where that is really bad. Then I have a dwarf in another game that has rolled three confirmed critical strikes in a row.
