Roderick Xim |
With his reach weapon, Roderick cannot easily engage so he stays back.
”I say! Let me know when I should jump in lads. But it looks well in hand after the healing. “
Victor Mordenheim |
Victor, stoic as ever, 5' steps forward, and takes a swing, completely ignoring the cover provided by Zadim.

I'll take a crit for 44 damage ;-)
Huh. Apparently, what my weapon needs to power-up is another PC being KO'ed :-P
Le Kyra Pregen |
GM Elberion |
As Zadim falls, Victor reaches over his body to strike down the demon.
At the same time, Kyra's radiant power revives Zadim.
End of combat.
Stillness follows.
I'll give you time to sort healing and whatnot before describing the wretches in the cages.
Roderick Xim |
”I say! The timing was impeccable. Superb job! “
Roderick will search around the room and cages
Perception : 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
GM Elberion |
Within each of the six cages huddles a manacled prisoner dressed in rags. All have their heads covered with eyeless leather hoods and their mouths are gagged. Furthermore, each slave bears a jagged scar across his or her belly and a Lamashtan brand on the back of his or her neck. The brand is identical to those found on Zahrah, Othine, and some of the cultists. Though not obviously apparent, a successful DC 15 Heal check reveals each of the slaves is pregnant; that some of the pregnant slaves are male shows that the conception isn’t natural.
These captives have been completely broken by the brutal, traumatic rituals. After suffering Tinderwick’s “reconditioning treatments,” these slaves not only accept their fate, but are brainwashed to embrace it. They believe that Lamashtu chose them through pain and ordeal for her most sacred purpose. If freed, they refuse to cooperate, and if pressured, they attack with tooth and nail while screaming curses.
Once you have healed, Brallenera leads the way into the next room.
Dark crimson fluid fills a huge pit gouged into the floor of this high-ceilinged room. The viscous liquid bubbles slightly and produces a faint light, but does not seem to emanate heat.
Within the fluid, small creatures, like the beast that burst from the Sarenrite's belly, bathe. A few of them are casually chewing on a fresh corpse: the cultist who fled from your last fight after becoming blinded.
Othine stands over the corpse, watching the beasts feed, while behind her stands a shocking creature, some kind of demonic gnoll-beast see picture.

Could I get resistances and immunities?
"Not your ordinary demon. A half-fiend jacklewere."
Nanny will move in for a better view and cast good-old murderous command on Othine. (DC 17)
Zadim - Pregen |
I believe Zadim is at 14 hp before the inspection of the wretches in the cages. He will ask Kyra to use all of the remaining charges of his wand of cure light on him.

None of her attacks land but you are reminded of her background in the eagle knights by the clearly drilled, if inelegant technique.
A woman who spent years working as a Twilight Talon only to turn to Lamashtu. Did she have it in her heart all along, or was she broken through torture and drugs and spells, like those poor souls you just 'rescued'?

GM Elberion |
You can exclude Othine, to let her sleep, or hit and wake her up.
Roderick Xim |
Oh ok. If Orthine looked like she was trying to attack it, Xim will shock her awake for 6 or 3 electric splash damage
Nanny Ahd |
I cast murderous command on her. Probably better for us if she is sleeping
Roderick Xim |
oh...back to my original...If she was not attacking the foe before the murderous command then let her sleep
GM Elberion |
Nanny’s spell pierces the jackalwere’s fiendish defences but Xim’s bomb has barely any effect on the creature. Meanwhile, Brallenera takes a nap, until Kermit darts forward and rouses her with a solid kick in the rump.
