As Nasze harrasses the boar, Thorryn cracks a few armored plates with his attack. Moments later Quanah takes advantage of the breach and slips a javelin past the thick dermal plating. Tuskgutter squeals in pain, and the squeals grow louder and more frantic when Mountain Cutter hacks into his flank. The beast spins and faces the offender and it's wielder, Aleksara, attempting to gore the woman, but Tuskgutter slips in his own blood and misses his target wildly.

In the morning the group circles back to the north-north-east to chart a section of the forest currently unexplored. Around lunch Aleksara sees a snake in her backpack, startling her for a moment before she realizes it's just a static image. Some sort of illusion spell.

A quiet chortling and joyous tiny bell-ringing sound comes from somewhere nearby. "Hey guys! Hello gnome! We just wanted to drop by and let you know about the humorless jerks down by the stream. We heard they were going to kill some monster called and 'oh-laig' in the morning." The tinkling bells ring out and the soft feminine voice whispers back then speaks up. "Also...there's, uh, a..." The bells tinkle again. "Tarrasque! There's a tarrasque to the north of here, you should stay away unless you want to get eaten! Yeah." Since we had some advance notice about the bandits, I would like to adjust some of my memorized spells if I can? Prodigious use of Ghost Sound, Unseen servant, Prestidigitation, mage hand, silent image, etc... could go a long way and maybe encourage our 'invisible friends' to help us out too. Let me think on it awhile and maybe I can come up with a more detailed idea. Can the rest of the casters in our group do anything 'spooky' they can memorize before the battle?

Aleksara pre-casts Mage armor just before heading in. She then slowly draws Mountain-Cutter and tests the edge carefully. Her face begins to almost transform from one of eager anticipation to one of cold-hearted hate and resignation of the fight to come...and its outcome.

Without moving, she whispers to Jerrik quietly.

"We need to take them fast and hard. I can make myself invisible briefly as we approach. We can move quickly together...you be loud about it...and I will try and intercept anybody who comes at you directly while unseen, that will make me visible, and then you should be free to hit whomever you think is the most dangerous person you can get to first. I clear the path...you strike deep. Chaos and fury. We should go as soon as one of our spellcasters' strikes is obvious. Agreed?"

They outnumber us slightly. The idea of trickery is just to put them off their guard for a round or two so we can whittle down their numbers. Aleksara is not for capturing any bandit, but won't stop someone who tries. Tactical advantage is all she's going for...and its fun..."

"Loud. I can do that" Jerrik said before nodding with a smile.

He began to walk towards the center of the small camp.

I'm guessing the drawn line is where we can position behind so I moved into position. Let me know if my assumption is wrong.

As Jerrik turns to move toward the camp a very curious thing happens. The campfire the bandits are sitting around suddenly explodes in a dazzling display of exploding sparks in red, blue, and green and shrill whistles and loud pops that are reminiscent of snapdragons and skyrockets.

Everyone...because fae are jerks...can attempt a DC 14 Will save or be blinded for rounds: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4. The PCs and some of the bandits can get a +2 bonus on this save due to the cover of the foilage.

In the immediate aftermath of the firework display, two of the bandits by the campfire suddenly fall asleep. The others are visibly alarmed by the sudden display. The woman looks around with narrowed eyes, ignoring the cacophony and blossoms of fire with an eerie calmness.

Everyone can act! The bandits have no clue who attacked them or how, so demoralizing by piling on the weird magic or other tricks could work.
