Technomagical Lab
Pon leads the way. The door opens automatically as he approaches, and the first thing that he notices is that the room is pitch dark and has a horrid smell -- stale air and maybe slightly rotten?
Right behind him, Prosper with his dark vision notices the two dessicated corpses, still in Azlant gear as they try turn towards the door, and mutter, "दि-मा-मा-मा-ग!"

He looks at Prosper "Zombies. Very dangerous. You go first."

He stops bouncing and sniffs deeply
Mysticism: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
"That smells like old zombie guys .... these have been here longer than the cadets"
Then he turns to the terminal to see if there is a way to get the lights on in the room (without reactivating the AI).

Prosperity "Prosper" Starr |

"Wha? The Lieutenant just left these guys here? I thought the azlanti would be too obsessively tidy to leave zombies lying about." Prosper comments "We're just going to have to do their tidying for them! Get them!" After his call to action, he steps to the south to give the rest of the team a clearer line of sight to attack.

GM Hmm |

Minos misses. Wint misses. Spec tries to activate the computer, and discovers that this room's hardware is completely blown out. Nothing works in here, and it would take a bunch of rewiring to get working again.
Pon fires into the darkness, where he thinks the zombies might be.
Miss Chance, High hits: 1d100 ⇒ 98

COMBAT OVER!
You now have the opportunity to look through this former technomagical lab.
The doors of this ship are designed to open to the living. These two were killed and reanimated in the mystical crash, and trapped here ever since.
Although much of what was in this lab has long since crumbled or broken, your group does find some interesting things as you search the place.
Are we moving on directly?

![]() |

The professor looks quizzically at his pistol for a moment, shrugs, and holsters it. Maybe it would be useful for curvy trick shooting at one of those Castrovellian roh-day-yohz he read about in Pact Travel Quarterly a while back.

Mysticism: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

He straightens and does his best Olajra impression "It's our fateful duty to grant our forefathers a dignified repose!" and then runs an awkward hand through his black hair "Or, uh, something like that."

It's time to go. The doors whoosh open automatically for you as you leave.
Central Corridor
This short corridor connects the engine room to the other areas in the aft section of the ship, including the technomagical lab to the north and the noble's chamber to the south. Although a door at the east end once led to the ship's cargo bay, that end of the corridor collapsed in the crash and is impassible.
Wint notices that with all the rubble at the end of the hallway, this place could really use a cleaning.
Parept's Chamber
Unlike most of the doors in the Royal Venture, which are unmarked, the doors to this room are engraved with a large image of a flaming trident, indicating the room's special status.
Whoosh.
The door opens. This large chamber appears to have been luxurious accommodations for a single occupant, with a single large bunk in the northwest and a desk of smooth metal to the east. Standing upright near the desk is a trident. The trident balances on the end of its haft and glows with white flames.
Compared to the hallway outside, it is conspicuously clean. Do you go in?

GM Hmm |

As Pon peeks inside the door, he notes a number of holographic pictures on the walls of a gorgeous and rather tall Azlanti woman -- some in uniform, and some in civilian clothes. In the ones in civilian clothes, she's being rather athletic: climbing trees and mountains, riding a lithe reptilian creature in some sort of competition, swimming. There are a number of sappy couple pictures of her in some sort of ball gown with a man in very fancy garb.
As he is looking around, he notices a barrel-chested robot with four arms, tracked wheels in place of feet, and a blank faceplate containing a metal grill that resembles a full, curving mustache. It suddenly activates, blinks in surprise, and then scans Pon in return. "अशिष्टता!" it shouts.
"कैडेट्स, मैंने आपसे कहा कि आप पेरेप्ट अमोंड्रिया के निजी कक्षों से बाहर रहें। आप चेतावनियों से बाहर हैं!" It raises an arm with a laser rifle, pointing it at Pon.
"Cadets, I told you to keep out of Parept Ameondria's private chambers. You are out of warnings!"
Aeon Slot (Su) The body of every Azlanti adjutant robot contains a slot to house a single aeon stone, usually in the center of its faceplate. A slotted aeon stone doesn’t provide its usual bonus, but instead gives the robot a bonus equal to half the aeon stone’s level (minimum +1) to saving throws against effects that deal energy damage and effects that specifically target constructs or electronic systems. As a standard action, the robot can burn out the slotted aeon stone to recover a number of Hit Points equal to 5 times the aeon stone’s level. An aeon stone burned out in this way is forever nonmagical and does not provide this or any other robot with any bonus to saving throws. Removing or slotting an aeon stone into an Azlanti adjutant robot is a full action.
