Derika barely restrains the snicker she feels coming to the surface. Coughing to try and cover it she stands, "Actually, I think Vishanti and I will check in with Barclay and see if there's anything else we can do for him, or if he'll need us again anytime soon. We'll stop by tomorrow and plan a shopping trip, so we can start plannijngv for the weddijng and everything soon. Thank you all so much for having us for dinner. It was an absolutely wonderful meal. I....I'm really glad we had a chance to talk." Derika just stands there for a moment, unsure of exactly what to do next.

Gashka takes advantage of the awkward moment and gets up from her seat. Going to her mama she gives her cheek a kiss, "Thanks for dinner mama, it was delicious as usual. We'll be back in just a few minutes." Giving her papa a grateful look she goes to Chris and holds out her hand, "We better hurry and take a look at it. I don't want to keep them up waiting on us for a long time."

"Is a hug okay?" Kealey asks Derika. "And I look forward to seeing you tomorrow."

Renard hops off the couch and goes to Chris' side.

Chris smirks. "Yes, let's get going. We'll be right back."

Derika extends her hand to Vishanti and helps her up out of her seat. With her beloved next tho her she steps back from the table while giving her mother a smile. Letting go of Vishanti's hand for a moment she nods, "Yeah, a hug. I think that would be okay."

Gashka gives her papa a quick hug before nearly running out the door with Chris. After they get a few steps away from the house she lets out a sigh of relief, "Whew, well...that was only slightly awkward. I hope Anyhka is okay wdith us taking off for a few minutes. I'm sure if she gets tired she'll go on back home."

Kealey gives Derika a brief but loving hug. "Thank you for coming by."

She smiles at Vishanti. "Would you like a hug too?"

Derika actually puts her arms around Kealey for a moment as well, "Thank you...for everything." She says softly, truly grateful for the chance they gave her, and the wonderful people that were brought into her life because of it.

As her mother lets go of her, Derika swallows the lump she feels in her throat, and waits for Vishanti. She couldn't allow herself to be an emotional wreck when they went to speak with Barclay.

"She knows your parents about as well as you do, right?" Chris asks. "I'm sure she'll be fine."

Gahska laughs, "Oh yeah, she knows them real well. We grew up together pretty much. My parents moved to Swampwood when I was very young. Anyka is only a couple years older than I am, so she was pretty much like a big a sister to me when we were kids and dealt with all that....other stuff. We've been rolling together ever since. In and out of trouble together, more in than out." Gashka chuckles again, "You should have seen Papa's face the first time he saw our tattoos. Whew...that was a night."

"I bet," Chris says, chuckling. "Well, here we are."

He takes the key out of his pocket and unlocks the front door. "Looks a bit dark in there."

The witch takes out a candle and lights it before entering the house.

Renard walks into the house. <"Smells like a woman lived here.">

<"So?">

<"You may want to clean the house before settling in. She must have been a very lonely woman.">

Gashka looks around, "There must be some lamps or something around here we can light so we can see better." She says, looking around to see what they could find to light.

Well...guess I'm too busy thinking about...other things. *sigh*

Chris thinks for a moment before making a face. <"Ugh, say no more.">

Gashka finds a lamp sitting on a small table by the couch.

Grabbing the lamp she takes it to Chris, "Here you go, light this. It might help us see better so we can tell what we're looking at."

Chris lights the lamp and blows out the candle. "Alright."

Gashka nods, "Well, that's quite a bit better. So...what do you think? I guess first we should figure out how big this place is. You're going to need a room that you can use for your potions and stuff."

The living room has a large, comfortable couch with a small table on each end of it. There is a small fireplace against the wall and a bookshelf that is currently empty. A woven rug sits in front of the couch.

"Well, I don't need a separate room for making potions, since I have a portable lab...but I guess the smell might get irritating," Chris says. "I'm used to it, I suppose."

Looking around the room she says, "I'd like to get a throw for the couch maybe." Looking over at Chris she smiles, "I know you have a portable lab, but I thought you might like having a space where you can keep things like ingredients, extra vials or whatever, and a table to mix things. I was in the kitchen with you that one night, and it didn't really bother me. I just want you to have a nice comfortable space to do it in. We need to get some extra cushions or pillows for Renard too." She says while bending down to pet the fluffy fox.

Renard rubs against Gashka's hand.

Chris looks in the dining room. "Not much in there. Just a small table and a couple of chairs. I'm going to see what's in the kitchen."

Getting caught up with this one.

It's okay, I'm just trying to relax. We're takikng Dixie to get her fixed in the morning, then I have to be at the Dentist at 10 to fix a filling. At least Henry and I both got the day off to deal with everything. It's not exactly how I pictured our day off together, but oh well.

Gashka pets Renard for a second before following Chris and the light source into the kitchen, "Well, are you okay with that table, or would you like a larger one?" She asks, as they start looking through the kitchen to see what it had, and what they might need.

Took Athena to the vet today to get all her shots in case we need to fly to Kansas suddenly and have to board her for a bit.

Awwww....I hope everything works out. No matter what happens, just know that we're with you. You let us know if you need anything. I mean it.

"Uhm.. I suppose I would." the shamaness says with a smile, "Thank you for having us....and making us feel welcome."

Kealey give Vishanti a warm hug. "You're family and I'd like to think I'm a good enough mother to make you feel like you belong."

"If your family comes over, we'll need a bigger table. I can use that one for my alchemy once we figure out where to put it," Chris says.

The kitchen cabinets are open and bare. An icebox sits in the corner of the kitchen. There does not appear to be any utensils in here.

Finding some parchment and a quill, she begins taking notes on what they will need. "Alright, so a larger dining table...what do you think, seat about eight or so? Some throw blankets and pillows to make Renard a comfy bed and a resting place by the fire, we'll need food supplies and utensils for the kitchen, and I'm guessing we're gonna need towels and washclothes, cleaning supplies, we can do all that shopping tomorrow though. This seems like a pretty decent sized place, so lets go see how many rooms there are and what we might need. I'm already getting a pretty good idea of what all will be involved." She says as they wander around and she jots down notes.

Taking Vishanti's hand in hers she says, "You're a very good mother. You both did what you had to, in order to insure my survival....and here I am. With the most wonderful woman in the world by my side. None of this would have been possible if it had not been for the sacrifice you made to give me my best chance. I will always be grateful for that, and for her being brought into my life. We really did enjoy getting to meet all of you." Looking over at Dran and Sarah she says, "It was very nice meeting the both of you as well. We'll see you tomorrow okay?" Looking up at the woman who gave her away to save her she says, "I think...When we get married, I'd really like it if Sarah would be our flower girl. I really want my whole family with me when we celebrate our lives becoming one. If...if you think that would be okay? "

Going through the house, Chris and Gashka (and Renard) find a bathroom on the first floor and a small study with empty bookcases. The second floor has a large bedroom, two closets, another bathroom and a small unused room.

Sara nods. "Yeah, that would be nice."

Kealey smiles. "We're all going through changes, but we all understand that we're here for each other too."

She nods approvingly, "Well...depending on how much space you need for your lab, you could set it up in that other bedroom, or that smaller room and we could use the other bedroom for a guest room in case of company. What do you think? We'd most likely have to buy linens and everything anyways. That small table from downstairs would fit nicely into that smaller room and you could even use the chairs in there with it if you wanted to." She says, as she works through things in her head.

"I can use the smaller room for my bedroom and the study for my lab," Chris suggests. "You can have this larger one."

Derika smiles back, "I think Dran would make a very handsome ring bearer too, if he'd like to do that. Anyways, we can go over details tomorrow and try to plan some of it out. We really better get going and check in with Sir Barclay before it gets much later. We'll let you know tomorrow if something comes up and our plans change. Hope you all have a wonderful night." She says, taking Vishanti by the hand and walking with her to the door.

Giving everyone a final wave goodnight, they head over to the barracks to see Barclay.

Gashka blushes, "Actually, I was thinking that this large room is big enough for the both of us, which would give us a guest bedroom, and you could still use the study for your lab. It's a very very big bed." She says as she walks over to the bed and puts a hand on the mattress, while looking up at him, "Couldn't we just share?" Gashka asks before one of the corners of her mouth turn up into a little smile.

Chris raises an eyebrow, turning a light pink. "I...I guess we could...share a bed."

Renard lies on the floor and covers his face with his paws. <"This is almost embarrassing.">

Gashka smiles, "Have we covered everything?"

Chris zones out for a moment before snapping back to attention. "Yes, I think that's it. We better head back...right?"

Getting a slight smirk on her face she says, "Unless there was anything you were wanting to....test out, before we go back."

Chris turns considerably pinker before the heat drains out of his face and goes elsewhere. "W-well...w-what were you wanting to test?"

His heart starts thumping in his chest as he gazes at Gashka. He stumbles forward a little. "I...I, uh..."

I've had a few of those in the past; hack-and-slash is not my cup of tea. In my home campaign at the moment, we have spent the past 5 weeks in the same town without "progressing" the "main storyline." We have been instead quibbling with the locals over differences in etiquette, cheering-up a depressing sentient construct, and going to psuedo-war with a fruit vendor for refusing sale of a particular variety of apple. I would much rather do such things than to min/max my way to roll-play boredom.

Video games are much better for that sort of thing, I think.

In the Name of the King was actually one of his better films.

I can't say I've watched more than House of the Dead and Bloodrayne (perhaps a snippet of Alone in the Dark) by him. Those were enough though.

Rampage was one of the only movies of his ive seen, didn't like Name of the King. and I think people tried to petition so that he would stop making movies. Could be BS though.

When it comes to movies, I'm not that hard to please. But when I saw In the Name of the King, I seriously considered asking for my money back. It's the only film I've seen to even make my think that. That's how much I hated it.

Well I mention it because it's kind of famous in the television world for handling LGBT characters fairly well and the main characters sleeping with everyone they run across.

I think I could see us being that party.
