Thanks.
The cure is currently worse than the disease. Fingers crossed tonight is better.
GM Blake
Note to self: No idea how it happened, even with the website wigging out on me, but RD is at -14 not -4.

I'm sure many of you will have similar family-focused schedules between now and the end of the year, but I will be a little spotty on posting during that time, I'm sure.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year (better than the dumpster fire of 2020 please)!
GM Blake
I rolled two 20s in a row as my first two rolls... and they were for your initiatives. There's your Christmas present. ;)

I haven't forgotten about you, and I'm sorry that I'm stalling this close to the end of the Book.
I will get back to this. I promise. This week has been a not very good week.

All,
I usually am able to post beforehand when I won't be available to post, but my last couple of days at work took every ounce of my mental energy. I'm just digging out today, and should be able to post by the end of the day.
However, I'm sure I'm holding things up, so feel free to bot me and I'll catch up by the end of the day.
GM Blake
If you want to have a space battle, we can. It's no pushover but you are the more maneuverable ship. Your speed is such that you could easily outrun them before they could do much damage to you (especially with my double miss).
GM Blake
That is the end to Book 2.
Let me know what SFS numbers to assign chronicles for those who want chronicles.
Regarding Cedona's last lines, remember that you were deputized by the Stewards at the beginning of the book.
Now, I do apologize for the snail's pace this AP has assumed. Part of it is work, additional children and their growing demands for attention, but there's a not insignificant effect of my current apathy toward Starfinder.
However, I did promise you the three books, so if you're OK with this pace, then we can continue. Your characters advance to 5th level and your ship upgrades to Tier 5.
Antenor of Akiton
LOL "Additional children." No worries AT ALL. I'm still in. Even if I wasn't a completionist, I'd be in.
I'm going with #1824-705 (Dokushisoka, Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo))
And thank you for sticking with it!
GM Blake
Level 3-4
This chronicle gives Cedona as an Ally you can have cast from a select list of mystic spells for 1 RP once per adventure, the ability to once per adventure when you're character has at least 1 day of "downtime" (i.e. not doing something) you can meet with a trader out in space to buy at a mark-up and a probably not-ever-going-to-apply increase in maximum item level of settlements in Near Space and the Vast, and a bonus to Diplomacy and Intimidation against Azlanti Star Empire NPCs.

Chronicle to Rril SFS# 90900-716, Acquisitives faction.
I'm good to continue and don't mind the current pace. That being said, if you are not currently enjoying Starfinder, please don't feel obliged to run another book.
I'd much rather just end the run now (or find a new GM for the next book), then burn out a GM (or other players for that matter).
Lors Lorcas
I'm fine to continue, but I'll second Rril's preference that you only keep going if you actually want to!
Chronicle should go to
SFS #: 182453
Character #: 704
Character: Blibdoolpoolp
Faction: Second Seekers (LE)
GM Blake
OK. Session has been reported through the OSP (session #1788).
Your chronicles are HERE.
Please double check the SFS numbers as those are the numbers I used in reporting (Blibdoolpoolp showed up twice in my confirmation screen, even though I know I only put your info in once, so watch for a double reporting on that character).
As long as you're OK with the slower pace, what I want to do is keep my word and deliver you the whole AP. I think this book will be a little more engaging for me, though the tropes might drive you guys crazy.
That said, if you would all prefer to look for a GM to take over, that won't offend me.
It'll probably take me until the end of the month to get the next book spooled up. We had a faculty member retire mid-year, so we had to split his service weeks, and I've got one starting this weekend.

All,
I will be having a cancer death in my family in the next few weeks, have a lot of family coming into town, and need to step back from this game, at least temporarily.
Please continue without me for now, and I'll see if I can catch up when things settle down.
@Blake: Thanks for your amazingly diligent efforts to get us so far through this campaign! It's much appreciated!

Sorry to hear of your loss and condolences. I, too, have been there. Take whatever time you need.
GM Blake
Apologies. It took me longer to get back to this than I anticipated. Baby girl had to have 3 birthday "parties" and they were toddler tantrum filled to the brim. I'm not sure what my wife was thinking...
Antenor of Akiton
Hey everyone, sorry I've been MIA. Real life threw me a curveball the likes of which I've never experienced before and it's really hitting me hard.
I'm tracking, and have the bandwidth to read and make quick posts, but I'm not in a place to make deep posts with pushes.
I am here, and eager to get to a point where I can.
GM Blake
My apologies again. That did not go as planned. I'll give it another shot, streamlining it to the actionable moments. And I really need to get the PDF on my work computer.
GM Blake
I may not have described it well enough: you can retreat backwards into the habitation and thus reach the control room to try to turn off the robot faster than it would take to wait for the far side of the air lock to open.

FYI: I'll be leaving on vacation this Saturday for a week. I expect to have wifi, but plan on posting once a day in the late evening.
GM Blake
OK. A combination of hoping that Lors would join back in, a family vacation to the lake, and the lost momentum making me forget to move this forward.
So, I'm going to post some action shortly. However, this leaves us with 3 players, still a legal table--not that that matters in campaign mode--and I can keep pushing forward and tweak some things as we go.
Let me know your feelings.
Antenor of Akiton
Lors is a tough one to lose. I hate leaving things undone, especially in the final book of an AP. I'm still in!
Rril Suolwind
|
Make it so.
GM Blake
I rolled a lot of ones and twos in my lightning bolt-equivalent trap. Oh well. Rril lives to endanger himself more later.
Rril Suolwind

Rough weekend and rougher start to the week. I hope tomorrow is better.
Here's hoping things have improved, at least a bit. Take care of whatever you need to handle. We'll be here for you.
GM Blake
It's the teaching new people how to do their new job... it makes everything take 2-3 times as long, but it is what it is.
Rril Suolwind
|
That would be frustrating. Although, I suppose on the upside, a lot of places are having trouble getting new people at present.
GM Blake
I haven't forgotten about you--well, depends on how you define forgotten--COVID is filling my hospital but I'll be off service soon, and my mother decided to fall through my ceiling yesterday (she's fine, my ceiling is not)...
Antenor of Akiton
Omigoodness! Well, I'm glad it's not worse.
I'm really sorry about COVID. I've been in meetings about it all week about school. I can only imagine a hospital.
Rril Suolwind
|
My heart goes out to you. Unfortunately, I understand from a number of my friends in the medical profession that the hospital situation is not unique. I am glad your mother is okay.
Hang in there. And thank you for letting us know.
