Oh that's right she's a Cleric not a Pally...not sure why I thought otherwise.
Tholl uses a longsword and I think Aylanna does as well.
Alina Vladinescu
|
I use mean thoughts, laughter, a harrow deck, and occasionally a dagger. A longsword isn't really my style :P
| GM Darren |
Just realised it’s thanksgiving in the US. If you are American, hope you have a peaceful one
Tholl Sjogunsson
|
Thanks, indeed I did, a nice day full or food and family. And now we've moved to the unofficial post Thanksgiving holiday. The most egregious display of consumerism, Black Friday. Cheers all!
| GM Darren |
Apologies to both Tholl and Alina - that was a bit mean! Especially at hill who took a beating from the scorpion - glad you both pulled through
| GM Darren |
Hi folks - update coming later today GMT. Apologies for lack of post yesterday, my senior management team (wife) required my help with the annual Christmas decoration of the house
Angry Magic Tree

Move out of the way! Scream yellow at his fellow Blue Kobold out of the way AOO for Angry vs Blue
Sorry, but why would that provoke an AoO?
| GM Darren |
Might be me misinterpreting the rules, but aren't you threatening the square blue is in?
Angry Magic Tree
|
That is correct. What action is Blue taking that would provoke an AoO?
Alina Vladinescu
|
I'm learning something from this run. I had previously thought that plants were quiet, but ours seems to do a lot of screaming. I guess I was wrong.
Angry Magic Tree

To be fair, vine leshys tend to get their names from strong personality traits or important life events. Angry Magic Tree's chosen name is just "Angry Magic", but everyone kept referring to her as "Tree" so she added it for simplicity.
| GM Darren |
Hi all - I may struggle to update today (Tuesday GMT) as I have a busy day at work and then evening plans. Apologies!
Angry Magic Tree

So it looks like Tholl makes a Fortitude save now to avoid contracting the disease.
- If he succeeds, he is not sick and everyone is happy.
- If he fails, he is diseased and will need to make another saving throw (probably in a day/week) to avoid taking damage or suffering ill effects. A series of successful saving throws will (hopefully) cure him of the disease.
I'd provide links, but the information is spread across multiple pages and not graceful to find. Perhaps the print book has it closer together, or someone has a better, secret link?

Just a heads-up. I'll be heading to visit family from Sunday through Wednesday, and I just found out they have no Internet (they just moved), so I'll be phone only for that period. I'll still be able to post but might be short ones on an irregular basis
| GM Darren |
No problem Alina. My posting might be intermittent over the next couple days with Christmas but I'll try to check in when I can. Hope you all have a safe and happy one!
| GM Darren |
Hi all - I'm back in the land of post-Christmas tomorrow so please bear with me. Currently spending all my spare time setting up Scalextrics and various dolls!
Tholl Sjogunsson
|
No worries!
Scalextrics I loved them as a kid!
Enjoy the family time.

Unless it's written into the scenario differently, summoning anything usually has a 1-round casting time (meaning the creatures appear at the start of the caster's next turn). My own druid was very sad when I realized this.

Gang --
I'll be on holiday (or vacation as we say in the US) starting this Saturday. I won't have internet (most likely). I'll return Saturday (1/12). Please bot me until then.
Tholl's good at taking hits and going down unconscious, so that's his main tactic. {kidding}
Inspired rage doesn't help this group much, so...if he immediately threaten he'll draw his sword (as a move - thanks to 0 BAB), and attack. If he isn't in immediate danger, he'll raise the flag first, then draw and wade into combat on round 2.
Sorry for the inconvenience, happy Pathfindering.
Oh and GM Darren - you are doing great! Pathfinder rule set is very detailed. I've run around 120 games and played in close to that number and I still frequently, frequently! look up the rules. Especially, in PbP where I can take more time to make sure I get it right. In IRL games, I often go by memory to keep the pace, stopping if something is critical. But overall playing a lot of PbP has greatly enhanced my rules knowledge.
I say that to say, don't worry about missing stuff as you learn -- I think you are doing great. And hope you are having fun too!
| GM Darren |
Thanks Tholl! Have a great holiday and I’m sure your friends will try to keep you alive as long as they can :-)
I’m away for the next day or so but will update tomorrow evening UK GMT time
| GM Darren |

I forgot we'd already done the day job rolls at beginning. I rolled a 19 that time. Feel free to use either the 19 or the 24 whichever you wish.
| GM Darren |
Hi folks - travelling back from a Switzerland so please bear with me - will update in. Ext 12 hours
| GM Darren |
Hi folks - stacked day at work today so will update tomorrow (which will close off the adventure I expect aswell!).
Tholl Sjogunsson
|
Well Done Darren - way to stick it out on your first go round! I quite enjoyed it and thought you did great job, especially first time GMing!!
Yeah my experience is the quests like this or the Silverhex Chronicles or say House of Harmonious Wisdom take much longer in pbp than most your scenarios. They are usually 5 or 6 parts, where most scenarios are like 3 or 4.
Anyway thanks again to you and my fellow Pathfinders for a fun time.
| GM Darren |
Hi all, sorry for delay. Your chronicle sheets are here. The scenario has been reported and I think I've done all correctly but let me know if not. Thanks again for playing and I'll mark as archived. Any problems, PM me

Questions about the Chronicles:
- It looks like the box for Knight of Taldor should not be checked (unless the scenario specifically said to do so) since players can check that box to use an additional power of that boon.
- Since we restored Remaio's family name, should we have the Noble of Taldor boon crossed off? It looks mutually exclusive with the Knight of Taldor boon.
| GM Darren |
Hi Angry - have unarchived. Nobles is Taldor is if you had spoken against Remaio but I will double check!
Angry Magic Tree
|
Agreed - so it looks like that boon should be crossed off since we didn’t qualify for it. And I don’t think the box for Knight of Taldor should be checked.
Tholl Sjogunsson
|
Right Right -- sorry didn't look closely this morning...what AMT said.
| GM Darren |
Sorry - I might be missing something here but as i understand chronicles - you helped Remaio restore nobility and didn't tell the court about his financial misgivings and were knighted so you should have "Knights of Taldor" ticked, no? Are you saying I should strike through the others?
Tholl Sjogunsson
|
The box for Knights of Taldor should not be check, because you do that later when you "use" the boon. And the Nobles is Taldor should be crossed through as we earned the Knights boon instead. Does that make sense?
