That's RIGHT! Run away you pusillanimous phantasm! You should know to stand aside for your betters.
Kael takes a breath to steady himself.
OK Pnin, have a look at those doors behind the statue with the glass sword. I'll keep an eye out for our cravenly phantasm.
perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Sanrael Bloodthorn
can we uhhhh….maybe the sword out of the statues hand?? or break of the blade?
Pnin
Pnin nods to Kael.
He heads over to look at the sword: Perception: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 25
To Sanrael: I'm more comfortable with leaving the wraith in his retreated state for while I try to remove this weapon.

Just check the doors Pnin. I don't think there is anything but trouble in this room. At least nothing seemed to draw special attention last time we were here. This place reeks of evil magic and death.
Kael splits his attention between warily watching the statue with the 'glass' sword and looking for the ghost.

The ghost was in the previous room with 25 statues.

Kael does not assume the ghost is tied to one room and is equally worried about the statue being some new form of evil given Darkvision's description.

Knuckles of Opening
new magic item
Forget that, we still don't even know what that dang scroll is!
Probably a scroll of ghost banishment or something else awesome.
Freaking bards...
Sanrael Bloodthorn
we should all crack our knuckles before rolling....we can be the cracking knuckle company

Pnin opens the door revealing a 30’x60’ room. The majority of the room is a 20’ deep pit which is spanned by a rickety looking rope and wood bridge. Pnin doesn’t think the bridge can hold more than 1 or 2 at a time. On either end of the bridge is a small ledge with doors. You are at the ledge/doors on one end. Within the pit are dozens of skeletal and zombified figures milling about.
Pnin
Pnin looks at the party: Any ideas about how to strengthen the rope bridge? Curral, any If not I think we should traverse one at a time. Maybe me, then Sanrael, then Curral . . . how do you feel about crossing in that armor, Kael?
Kael Cullen
I think if we use a tied rope and go one at a time, you go first Pnin, we should be OK enough. I think you have the right of the order as well. I can't see you falling and once Sanrael is across there should be enough muscle for Curral and I.
I'll should be fine, especially with a rope around my waist; and if I fall the battle of the chasm floor will make a great song for Curral to pen.
The only challenge will be if something comes boiling out of those doors while we are split.
Lead the way once more Pnin.
Kael Cullen
Kael ties the rope around himself and Pnin; San and Kael hold the rope as Pnin croses (just in case); once across Pnin unties the rope.
Repeat process for San, then Curral. When Curral gets across, Kael makes the crossing while the rest of the party holds on to the rope and hopes for the best.
Pnin
Pnin nods at the plan but adds: Thanks for the jinx, Kael!
I can't see you falling
Once tied, Pnin is ready to cross. He does so as stealthily as possible and on the balls of his feet, in general.
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32
Preemptive Acrobatics???: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
Pnin
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
Through message**: Maybe we should attach the ropes to the bridge to stabilize it?
**Do we even have someone who can cast Message anymore? Curral? If not, Pnin shouts the above at the halfway point.
Sanrael Bloodthorn
yes pnin.....let me throw ropes across to you so we can do as you said.... Sanrael looks around for a place to tie a rope
Pnin
Wait, isn't Pnin attached to the rope already? So he has the rope.
Pnin doesn't know anything about engineering so he doesn't know anything about how to reinforce the bridge. Does Curral through Bardic Knowledge
But Pnin thinks Kael's plan of pulling up the people who fall might still work. But I didn't think there'd be two checks
Good luck crossing!
Sanrael Bloodthorn
knowledge dungeon: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
know nature: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
sanrael thinks through what he knows in his experiences....
Kael Cullen
Kael looks stonily at Sanrael-Quit dithering and get across the bridge San. Pnin is fully exposed over there to anything coming through the door. Don't worry, if you fall, we've got you.
Pnin was attached to the rope. Now that he's across, he unties and we pull the rope back and tie to Sanrael and send him across.
Sanrael Bloodthorn
im gingerly walking across...not floor tumbling!
fine
acro: 2d20 ⇒ (19, 10) = 29
Sanrael Bloodthorn
does holding on to rope from Pnin help with balance
perhaps we should burn all the foul creatures down there
Kael Cullen
~using message~ Kael chuckles at Sanrael's observation and laughingly says-Sure San, with what exactly are we going to burn them? Have you been secretly carrying around a barrel of oil while we weren't looking?
Let's just stay focused on holding the rope and getting through the next set of doors.
Kael Cullen
Well, here it goes...-Kael whispers under his breath.
Be ready on that rope!-He says a bit louder and more nervously, before making his way across the rickety bridge.
acrobatics: 2d20 ⇒ (15, 4) = 19 -5 on each roll.
