He then ensures his arrows are back at hand.

Lazur, can you give me a stealth roll? I should have been more clear on that.
The goblins come in from the northeast about two hours after you've settled into your ambush positions. The goblins are noisy and those of you that speak their grating tongue hear the crude jokes and vile cheers about what will become of the foolish gnomes and dwarves that have dared poke their heads out from Sandpoint. A quick count reveals eleven goblins and one giant gecko marching towards the clearing.
Good news is that the ruse seems to have worked. The bad news is that Ripnugget, or someone advising him, is on the paranoid side.
Wayland Egorius
Wayland will pop up and fire his crossbow at a goblin.
I should have had someone with Lookout adjacent to Wayland to get the full-round action in the surprise round, because then he could move and cast Burning Hands. As it is, he will hope to win initiative and do that on his first regular turn.

War Mind (Minor): (DC 14) At 1st Level you can touch an ally and grant it a tactical advantage for 1 minute.
At the start of its turn, it can select one of the following bonuses:

Each bonus selected lasts for 1 round.

Lazur waits for the goblins to get further into the trap.
Can you place a marker where you want the goblins to be when the trap springs? I'm going to assume that y'all worked that out beforehand.

I figure we sprang it when they got to the centre of the clearing.

Lazur, Go ahead and post your Surprise round and 1st round actions. Calin, You can do the same if you want.

Surprise Round
The waiting was the worst part. Each step tightened your nerves tighter and tighter as the goblins chattered away and took their sweet time getting further into the clearing. Surely they weren't so oblivious. Surely they must have noticed something!
Then the troop is in position for the ambush. Missiles and fire fly as the gleefully malicious chatter of the goblins is replaced by cries of alarm and pain. Trig's spell burns the goblin on the giant gecko bare moments before the beast is slain by a well placed arrow from Morgrym. Shalelu's arrow slices the mounted goblin's leg and distracts him at precisely the wrong time as the lizard rears up in its death throes. One of the warchanters sprouts a bolt from her arm just a moment after Waylon pulls the trigger of his crossbow.

The goblin ranks are quickly thinned as Waylon unleashes a torrent of fire. Goblins shriek and die as their clothing and flesh are set alight. Lazur and Calin both take advantage of the display of arcane might and tear into two more goblins, leaving one of them gurgling and drowning in its own blood.
[b]"Kill the mage! Die Mage! DIE!"[b] The warchanters scream, their voices building into a cacophonous hammer of sound that batters the ears of everyone in earshot, but only Waylon feels the insidious magics trying to seep into his mind. They then scatter, going after Calin and Trig. They would claim, if asked, that it is only coincidence that their movements also take them further from Waylon.
Waylon, I need you to make three DC 11 will saves or be hit by the daze spell.
Trig and Morgrym are up. I've already counted Lazur's actions this round.

Trig Fanabarellalisa
Trig is going to look at this Warchanter critically before trying to see how far from her Wayland and Calin were. A single goblin wasn't too bad. For now.
Trig shook the hand her flames were on a couple of times before throwing it at the Warchanter in front of her.

Trig's fiery missile sails off into the brush where it fizzles out in the damp undergrowth. Morgrym, though, has much more luck. His axe cleaves the unfortunate goblin from crown to navel, killing it instantly.

Furious, the goblin commandos attack Lazur, Calin, and Morgrym with more fire than effectiveness, none of them managing to do more than scratch the three warrior's armor. Ripnugget spits curses at Shalelu before turning on Morgrym and attack the dwarf with wild abandon that batters aside his defenses and leaves him open for a painful stab at the seam of two armor pieces.
Morgrym takes 8 piercing damage from Ripnugget's attack. Everything else missed.
Waylon and Calin are up!

With a wild yell of excitement He brought his flail down on the warchanter to the north. The flail came down low near the goblins knees.

The warchanter shrieks as it's sent stumbling back by Calin's well placed blow. Seeing the fighter as a larger threat to itself, the goblin takes a step back and casts a spell on the half-elf.
"What is the difference between a drunk dwarf and a goat in heat? The goat has higher standards," it says as it grins, well, grimaces, at him.
Calin, I need a DC 12 Will save from you or you fall prone laughing for the next round.

The goblin commandos look to each other and then to the chief to see what he says. The goblin chieftain isn't one to back down from a fight, but he also hasn't made it this long without knowing when to stay and when to run.
"RETREAT!" He cries and he and his commandos bolt.
All are taking a withdrawal action. They can get out without taking any AoOs from y'all. There's the Warchanter still left, but they are going to book it as soon as they are able. What do you want to do? Give chase? Capture the last goblin for interrogation? Something else?

Straight to the back of the head. Nothing fancy, it's just business.
As the rest of the goblins run, Trig will yell out in their tongue, "If any of you idiots return to Thistletop, we'll follow you there and stomp you into the ground!"
Wayland Egorius
Wayland will fire at any other goblins if he can, but presumably they will move into total cover on their turn.
Wayland's crossbow bolt goes awry.
Morgrym Stonestepper
Morgrym will go back and grab his bow now that the fighting is over.
He will then clean up his axe, and then go grab any bodies to drag into the clearing.
DM-Salsa
With the fall of Chief Ripnugget and the felling of the last of the warchanters, the remaining goblins make haste in disappearing. Wayland's bolt flies wide as does Shelelu's arrow. As silence returns to the grove, the elven ranger turns to all of you and grins.
"I believe congratulations are in order. You lot have just defeated on of the current goblin heroes!"
What do you wish to do?
Morgrym Stonestepper
Already stated that I was dragging any bodies back to the clearing for easier searching
Fights always seem to go easier when they are on our terms.
Trig Fanabarellalisa
"Not much of a hero," Trig said before she gave everyone a cursory look over for injuries. It looked like most of the group went uninjured, a surprising feat. "You injured, Elf?" she asked, pulling out the want of Cure Light Wounds.
Looks like Morgrym is down 8, anyone else injured? Haven't gone back to check. Anyone can roll it for me.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Take that, Morgrym.
DM-Salsa
"Ripnugget was a goblin hero. They may not be all that great, but they can be nasty handfuls. As for me, I don't think they got close to me, much less hurt me. I have all of you to thank for that," Shalelu says.
I'll get a loot list up tomorrow.
Wayland Egorius
Wayland regards Ripnugget and his dead gecko.
"Mounted foes can be right deadly if you let them get a charge.
Our tactics worked well this time.
We can't get too cocky."
Morgrym Stonestepper
As the wounds knit together, Morgrym grins before he heads into the brush to grab his bow.
Appreciated Ms. Trig
He then responds to Wayland.
Agreed, which is why my first shot was to dismount him.
He comes out of the brush with his bow in hand.
Calin Moonbreeze
He blushed when Shalelu grinned at them and offered a compliment. He certainly hadnt expected such from her. He did his best to take it in stride though. Surprising and ambushing the goblins had made things easier he was sure.
"Thanks Miss Shalelu. Anything to keep the town safe."
He said as he double checked the bodies of the goblins to make sure they were indeed dead. Even if they were a dangerous nuisance, no sense letting them suffer if they were barely still alive.
"Whats the next move?"
He asked hoping that quelling and killing more goblins was on the agenda.
Trig Fanabarellalisa
"Our options now are to, what? Lean into the violence and keep heading to Thistletop or let them stew for a few days in their missing chief situation?" Trig asked as she finished up looking over the others. She seemed almost... disappointed by how easy the wand made healing.
Morgrym Stonestepper
I be thinking that we don't give them time to sort out a new leader, and we should push them out as fast as we can.
I think Shalelu took some damage in the fight as well.
