Len watches the goblin drain the blood from the corpse, turning a bit green. But, if it means the goblin uses one less share of fresh water, he'll leave it be.

Water? No, blood has too much in it to count as water. It would count as food. The main point of draining it is that without the blood the rest of the body will rot slower.

Rakrjgb eyes the nice dagger and works on getting the coins out of the wax. If no one objects he claims it. He examains the coins to see where they might be from while talking aloud to himself so others know what he is doing and what he has found.

The group makes it to the beach of a relatively small island (less than 1 square mile). The island has a tall mountain at the northern end, and lush vegetation.

After a little bit of searching, a beach can be found. Dense underbrush fills the rest of the island.

On the beach is a small rocky outcropping that looks like it may provide shelter. Additionally, the trees and bushes looks like they may provide fruiting trees.

New map up, and new initiative needed (Perception). We are doing this in initiative, so keep in mind your actions.

Update for those that have posted so far:

Darb spots the outcropping and can tell it is actually a cave of some sort. He even sees what looks like manufactured wood inside.

Pogen can't quite see the wood, but verifies the cave.

Harrington is pretty sure no human has stepped food on this beach in a while. There are quite a few small tracks from birds, but nothing else.

Also, there is a difference between action based skill use and downtime skill use. Downtime skills are kind of a "I spend the rest of the night doing X" rather than something you post in Initiative. I have noted the rolls and intentions for when we leave initiative. If those that have posted want to burn the rest of their actions, feel free to post again. Those that have not posted, treat this like any other in initiative post with 3 actions.

Ariawyn's horror magnifies at Darbs comment and she scowls fiercely at him.

She climbs out of the boat and says, "I agree. We need to put this boat up where it can be hidden and safe. Then we can begin exploring the area."

She positions herself a side of the boat and waits for assistance to move it further onto the shore.

Perception Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Perception to see a good place to put the boat: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

Rinvar nods at Ariawyn "Yeah, best to get this out of sight. If we need to make a run for it I can try to buy us time while the rest of you prep the boat." grabs the opposite side of the boat and heaves.

After we move the boat I want to don my armor again. Seems like the prudent thing to do :P

As he hefts the boat with Ariawyn, Rinvar takes a moment to notice the tide lines.

Darb and the group begin scouting the beach for threats, shelter, and food/water. It will take some time, but it looks like the vegetation is lush and food should be available. Furthermore, some of the plants and fruit may even offer water. Shelter consists of a cave to the north with what appears to be processed wood inside. No one can see any specific threats at this time, but it is obvious that there are many places where critters/people could hide.

Meanwhile, Ariawyn & Rinvar swiftly pull the boat ashore. While the boat is now firmly grounded above the water line, there is no apparent place to hide it at this time. With the exception of chopping into the brush.

Darb double moves to catch up, and stares into the cave.

Part way satisfied with where the boat is grounded, Rinvar will move to Harrington, collect what he has been chopping and returns to the boat to begin covering it. As he returns he calls to Ariawyn "Let's move this to the tree line and then cover it so it is less conspicuous."

Moved Harrington to the brush.

The group manages to drag the boat up a bit farther, drop the mast/sail, and throw brush onto the boat. The undergrowth is dense and dragging the boat much further would easily take 10mins/foot. At this point the boat has a light sprinkling of limbs and leaves, breaking up the appearance for anyone not looking too closely. You can continue to cover the boat, but it will take more and more time.
You have hidden the boat to the point where it requires a perception to spot DC10+distance. For each +1 bonus to that, it will take 30 actions. (1 minute of work, divisible among multiple people).

The cave is a shallow outcropping of rock stretching back 30ft, and approximately 20ft wide. At the back of the cave are stacked rocks making a rough wall. Inside are several broken barrels and crates, and a few others that may still have contents. Two dusty hammocks stretch from spikes hammered into the wall. A third lays torn on the floor next to the rock wall. A small table and some chairs are tipped against one wall, and misc debris can be spotted on the floor. (Coins, cups, bowls, candles, etc)

I didn't have time to make the map of the cave yet. I'll get that done tonight or tomorrow morning.

Darb, Pogen, and Len are greeted with a nicely furnished, if not beaten up, hideaway cave.

You spot two scaly humanoid shapes swimming in the water. As you look their direction, they submerge again. They have obviously seen you, and know that you have seen them.

Red pulls out a long tube, loads a dart, and shoots at Rinvar. Rinvar, unaware of the scaled humanoid until just now is flat footed to the attack.

The blue humanoid pulls out another tube, loads a dart, and waits.

Startled by the dart flying at her comrade, Ari spins around to see where it came from. Seeing these armed creatures, she jumps to the opening of the cave as that will provide her with the most coverage from harm.

Sorry for the delay on cave update. Got super busy.

Inside the cave, Len does not find anything immediately available for investigation. Small candle, a cup, some cards and dice, several coins. The most interesting thing are a sealed crate and a sealed barrel. Both of which would take an athletic check to open.

No magic is detected.

Darb's performances seem to have their desired effect on the humanoids. The red looks somewhat hesitant to pick a fight, while blue is staring off towards the little goblin.

I'll let this round go a bit longer since I was late to posting for the cave folks

Pogen sighs with slight disappointment at the lack of magical response, but then hears about the lizard men.

He tries to make himself small among the shadows and rock cave entrance as he watches things develop.
