Thanks for selecting me GM!
I hope there are girls in this party... no offense, Dr. Fisty, but I do have some preferences here. Aineyr is a one-way road and he prefers to stick his... nose!... in a more feminine person.
It is almost 2 in the morning here in Brazil so I'll post when I get up!

Yeah, they for sure are not retarded but his phrase actually doesn't imply that... an autistic person "lives in her own world" and, to those outside of it, could seem that she is aloof.
So our friend Fisty looks aloof but is actually really sharp. (I guess)

Yes i know it doesn't mean retarded, i am literally referencing common physical characteristics in autism, as well as the fact he is in his own world.

FYI guys, I'm kind of going on the honor system in terms of stats you enter in to your rolls, spells per day, etc. The aforementioned managing a clinic plus patient load means I don't really have the time (tolerance) to constantly babysit in a game that's meant for comedy. I don't imagine this group would power game it, but just throwing it out there!

Hey guys, GM_Panic (the person who made the tiny evil but not evil fey character) started up a group with the people who didn't get selected for this one. GM_Panic was interested in a crossover between the groups that will be posted on this page soon. Give the idea a read and send me a private message to vote yay or nae on it if it's something you guys want to do. I like to keep voting anonymous hence the private message. Ultimately this game is for your fun as much as it is mine, so I would like to hear opinions. Look for the post coming soon!

So when did all this "Bro" become a thing? "BernieBro" as a slur arising from manipulative sexism in the Democratic primary, Martin Shkreli is known as the "PharmaBro,"...and what's weird is that it seems to have mutated in a very short span of time to a bad thing from what was at first a good thing ("Brony," "Bro-hug," and the first term I'd heard, "Bromance"). What is this crap?

Blame Jersey Shore. It was a friendly term until all of the douchebaggery associated with those idiots turned it into an overused phrase by meatheads. I say this as a gymrat myself, at best, it's used ironically by normal people now to describe a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal.

I'm in the same boat with everyone else being quite busy in RL world. My company is working on expanding things, and I'm at the forefront of one of our branches in that. Screening things out takes extra time, so I don't intend on going re-recruitment myself while we have 5.

If I may, I would prefer it if the tone of the game were more verisimilar and less self-referential going forward (i.e., no visions of XP floating in the air, and probably less in the way of contemporary real-world references - Wilbert's narrative through the fourth wall notwithstanding if that's important to his spiel). :)

This is, of course, the hard part about dealing with internet. For one, everyone's concept of how a free form game is supposed to play out is likely to be different. Add in the element of preferences for humor and it gets even more challenging. Couple that with how easy it is to lose intent behind typed words when there's no vocal inflection or facial expression to gauge and we end up in situations like this.
To a certain degree, I can't "read the room" very well and ultimately was trying to make sure I'm appealing to everyone's idea of how they want to play. I'm happy to modify the game as the group prefers. Removing self-reference is simple enough for me to do. I have certain limitations on how much time I am able to invest in real life calculations and such, so I will stick with things like awarding gold exclusively as opposed to managing tables, looking up things, etc. However, it's just as easy to have the gold come from a reward from, say, the mayor or a horde being defended by what you killed. Things like experience, again, very simple. It's a matter of a post like this without flavor text.
Ultimately, this game is an experiment of seeing if different ideas of humor can be combined for everyone's sense of fun. My idea of funny is certainly not tied to self-referential. I'm a big fan of intelligent wit, so that kind of modification is about as easy as it comes for me to pull off. Will that be enough to keep everyone happy? Who knows, but like I said, it's all an experiment with no consequences tied to it. Feel free to post thoughts and ideas for going forward if the group would like to continue.

Guys, as I said via PM to the GM, I'm bowing out of this game since I realized this is not my 'kind of game'... good luck and good game for all of you!

I messaged a couple of people, but I'm cautious to re-open the recruitment thread. I appreciated everyone's attempts to make characters they enjoyed, but the last recruitment thread got very close to going from comedy fun to cybersex and I'd prefer to not have to deal with that again. I'm seeing if I can drum up some interest individually with lurkers on the recruitment boards.

He protests now, but he's the one who gave the go-ahead to Boob-Hunter the Bard and the Hentai Centerfold...;)
