New ledgend traits-

Dedicated Mage-
Choose a school of magic. You gain a +2 to the dc of all spells of that school, and a +1 to all damage dice of spells from that school. You start the game with one extra spell of that school, unless you chose nightmare. You gain a pool of sanity points that can only be used to cast spells of this school, equal to your level. If you have a bonded item, this is added to your bonded item instead.

Generalist-
You gain a pool of sanity points, equal to your level. If you have a bonded item, this is added to your bonded item instead. You gain one 1st level spell of your choice. You gain a +1 to the dc of all spells.

Acrobatic-
You gain acrobatic dodge (only can be taken by this legend trait), and unarmored focus as bonus feats. You add your level to acrobatics checks made to jump, and the dc of high jumps is halved. You don't take any penalties when you don't have a running start to jump.

All quite nice, I espically like the acrobatic one, not for it's power per say, but for the narrative options it presents, my next character, for example, I was somewhat at a loss for what legend trait to pick, and now it's cleared up for me somewhat,

Should I remove the "human only" restriction on hidden power?
If not, should i extend it to half-elves?

If you extend it to being knowable to half elves you could still restrict it by not giving it as a bonus spell known
(As far as the actual vote I abstain)

Hidden Power is cool and has good options. Giving Half Elf the option to take it makes sense, but not a free one. Option to take it.

Problem is you can only take bonds at level one, so if i don't take it now, i can't at all.


I just can't put him with a bond item in my mind, but still your character.
Do what you think is right.

I'm not sure about the bond item myself, but loss of power isn't good...


Just give him extra sanity.
Or make a generic bonded item that isn't obtrusive.

Also, "generic" bonded item really shouldn't be a thing.

I meant for them to have a large impact on a charecter.

Cannot be taken if the character has a bonded item.
The character gains an auxiliary sanity pool that follows a bonded item's progression ×2. This refreshes every morning and is not counted in determining overall sanity or penalties for losing such.

Hmmm I don't know... Seems kinda iffy, what tree would it be under?
I say just take the staff, or if you would rather, the ribon.

That gives a lot of the benifit, in fact, more, without the disadvantage of having an item bound to it.


But you don't get any of the cool things an item gets. The double points makes up for that and nothing else. It doesn't get any better outside of more points.
This is only to make up the sanity pool you miss if you don't want a bound item. Bottom line is that not everyone will want one for a character and everything that is removed needs a supplement. It's good for people who want to specialize only in their free spell.
It would be under the bond tree.

The sanity pool is the most powerful feature of any of the items, save the robe.

And you don't have the weakness inherit in loosing it, which is the primary balancing factor of having one,


So no double points.
Balanced as is. No risk to loose it, but no extra buffs either?

No, i mean bonded item or no bonded item.

No bonded item avoids narrative complications.

Bonded item raises power, and with the ribbon, adds another level of roleplay... But also puts the dm in a spot of roleplaying power with a great diplomacy check.
