Greetings, I'm looking to start up a table and am in need of some players.
Ideally, interested players should already have familiarity with Pathfinder and Maptool. I will be using a framework to manage the heavy number crunching (see "System" below for the framework).Familiarity with the framework would be a great benefit, but not required. I would be willing to teach new users about the framework as long as you're willing to commit to learning how to use it.
We will be using Skype as a means to communicate outside of game. Be advised that in-game is text only! You do not need a mic to play in this game.
System: Pathfinder (via Maptool b89; will be using this framework)
Player Count: 4-5
Style of Play: Linear progression; will mold game to fit the players
Allowed Content:
Character Creation:
Backstory: The initial hook revolves around you knowing Gaedren Lamm and being a citizen within the city of Korvosa. Tailor backgrounds around the setting. See “Other Notes” for more information.
Experience: Starting 1st level
Wealth: Max starting wealth
Ability Scores: 25-point buy
Hitpoints/Health: Max 1st level, half rounded up each additional level
Alignment: Any non-evil
Traits and Drawbacks: Two traits allowed, may take a drawback for an additional trait
Races: Any allowed up to a 15PP curve.
Other Notes:
Campaign Player's Handbook <--- Must Read
Pathfinder SRD
Pathfinder Point Buy Calculator
Interested players, post below with a character sheet (mythweavers, pdf, or otherwise). Questions may also be posted below, sent to me via PM, or message me via Skype (ID: tsriel) and will be responded to accordingly. Game is planned to begin on February 1st, which should give people plenty of time to build characters.
Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon!

How long do you think sessions will be and are you willing to go earlier, say 7:30 or 8:30 EST?
As much as I would like to, prior professional commitments compounded with the fact that I live on the west coast prevent me from starting any earlier. I understand that for alot of people on the east coast, 9:30pm is a very late start time. Unfortunately, it just can't be helped.
As for length of time, it can be hard to place an exact time since I've been one for using good stopping points. You can probably expect at least three hours with the aim to be somewhere between 4-5.

Hmmm... dotting for interest. I haven't used this Maptool contraption, but I'd love to play an AP.
And no, this has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that I've tried two AP recruitments already and fell short of both. Nope. Nothing to do with that at all.
(I'm a bad liar)
GHOST EDITS IN THE SKY: Huh, apparently I already have Maptool. Spooky, I don't remember ever downloading it...
ALL YOUR EDITS CANNOT ABSOLVE YOUR SIN: Would you accept a Synthesist summoner? I've only played as vanilla summoners, and it seems like a fun concept. Reminds me of some anime I've seen.

Trying to make a dwarf cavalier now. Gee, I wonder where on earth I got the name "Urist" from...

While technically he is a warrior: Archer, his favored class is rogue and two of his starting skills are stealth and disable device. Though he does not own thieves tools. Im having issues with dragon speak tonight, my voice is too horse for it to understand me right. So im drinking some tea and will have his tale ready for ya all to read tomarrow during the daytime.
I came up with a few dozen concepts for rogues, Because he is small, I wanted him to use a comp long bow, so I need to take a some 2 fighter levels for archtype, so I figured I would do that first. Race is Dromite of an icy caste

Psionics... uh.
I've tried learning about psionics before, but it all just seemed confusing to me.
Oh yeah! Here's val Kinzer's history with Gaedren Lamm!

Aw. You could make another character.
Also, I think the GM meant "RP," the power measurement used in the Advanced Race Guide. Kobolds, for instance, are 5 RP. They have 2 RP for natural armor, 5 for their racial skill bonuses, 2 for their darkvision, -1 for their light blindness, and -3 for their ability scores.
ALSO also, a warning if this gets off the ground: Any Dwarvish that Urist may end up speaking will end up coming from Dwarf Fortress and Inheritance, because dangit I actually like the Inheritance Cycle despite its flaws.

EDIT (26/01/14): Today I attempted a test run with some people today. As expected, there was some connection issues, but the big one happened where one person couldn't even load into the campaign at all. All applicants, check to make sure that the framework will load for you. I have at least one opening, possibly two. The group really needs a full on tank.
