Heh, more like weaving in and out of 70 mph on the interstate, trying to remember drink the coffee and inhale the cigarette instead of the other way 'round! I started off trying for a Ms. Doubtfire, slid into a Golem, and finally ended up sounding like Prissy from those Foghorn Leghorn cartoons.

Now that's what I call multitasking.

Haha, well, I'm really hoping this works! I'm not very combat-oriented, so these little diversions give Selia some purpose! Ziltmilt, please don't take this in any way as me not having fun, I'm having a blast in this game :D

This can only end well.

Sorry for the delay in updating .. i'll put a post up later tonight.

[Mid-day, Catacombs, 4th Day After Goblin Raid]

“Koruvus hears and obeys, milady.” comes the hoarse response. A deformed goblin , large for his kind, shuffles into view. His weapons are lowered, and they fall from his grasp onto the floor.

Everyone back up and let them come to us - one at a time

Just saw the map... if we go cockly down in to that - a good two rounds of movement away? We deserve whatever ambush we get

Lleidr will take in the sight of the strange goblin. It explains where the skeletons came from but not why they were in those chambers nor what the symbol on the doors was. Also, in my head, this goblin will always be Torgo from Manos: The Hands of Fate.

At Nich's suggestion, Lleidr will move back to the middle of the room, sheathing his dagger and readying his short bow.

Koruvus stands there, blinking in your light, trying to see up the stairs, with a trail of drool snaking out between needle teeth. He shuffles from one foot to the other.

"Milady? Show yourself, that I may see you."

All the while, the ghastly moans coming up from beneath the wooden lids rises and falls, like some chorus of the damned.

Selia better make a damned good Bluff roll again, or someone needs to run back and grab the quasit's body so we can try a Weekend at Bernie's.

Or we can try Nich's more reasonable suggestion :)

Unless someone has better than +7 Bluff, Lleidr will clear his throat and step back over to the top of the stairs.

"Just leave your weapons and get up here, or the next time you see your mistress, she'll be bleeding out on the floor!"

This isn't the most honorable way to go about this. Can't stop them now.

Jubrayl sighs and throws his hands up in a gesture that says quite clearly "fine whatever".

Wouldn't it have been better in we had Selia step out so the light is at her back and holds her cloak out so they resembled wings. The light behind her would make her body a silowet and obscure her features and continue bluffing him till he got close enough to take out without a chance of him getting to his sword. Not to mention we could have learned something about what was under those pallets. But if you want to jump right to threatening to kill dead things be my guest.

If anyone wants to stop Lleidr, I'm more than happy to rescind his action.

Koruvus nods, and begins climbing the stairs. He stops 5' away from the front of the group. His weapons are scattered about the floor.

"Milady, are you alright?"

Since I'm lazy, i haven't updated the pic yet, but just let me know what you want to do.

My apologies!!! This was the absolute worst time for a pesky weekend...

Selia, with her cloak held tight around her, speaks again, "The humans, they have done this to me..." She turns to Hakak and gives a subtle head shake. "Korovus, please surrender to them so this can end without bloodshed."

To convince Korovus that Selia has been transformed by the humans (build trust?)
Bluff: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

To convince Korovus to peacefully surrender
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

I just want to clarify that at this point, Selia doesn't want to blame the goblins for what has happened with Father Tobyn's body. She understands they were used as pawns, and doesn't wantonly want to shed their blood until necessary. I suppose this fits right in with my current diplomatic skillset!

"uhhh, good humans," Koruvus nods with some reluctance. He stands before you unarmed, with his weapons lying on the floor at the bottom of the stair.

"I am at your mercy" the words are stilted and awkward, as if so much recent speech has overtaxed his mind. His deformed limbs lurch, and his body drops into an uneven kneel.

"Our prisoners, stuck in pits" he grins. The echoes of that ghastly chorus still ring in your ears.

Did he submit to Ned tying his hands?

Yes. I wasn't 100% if that was definitely what you would try or not.

Koruvus snarls, “They’re my prisoners. Where is my mistress?”

Between the cracks in one lid, you catch a glimpse of a human figure, composed of rotten flesh hanging on yellowed bones. Eyes meet your own, and another moan rises from the creature’s pit.

Given the shoddy construction of the lids, you think channeling would get to them just fine.

Selia watches Hakak go to the sword and other items. She figures that Ned may need some help dealing with the goblin and she steps back in. "Koruvus, your mistress has been... captured, in a way. Depending on how you answer my friend's question, you may or may not get to see her again."

Koruvus spits a wad of drool and grunts: Enemies of my Empress, mighty Elyrium. I hope the lot of you rot in these pits as her prisoner soon. heh

The weapons are very high quality.

The zombies trapped in their pits wither under Nicholae's holy light. Several crumple to the ground and are inert. Three shake their lids in anger, vainly trying to cast them aside. They seem to be all that remain.
