Eidetic Memory(Expertise: Current Events/Politics): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Yay for my one advantage, eidetic memory. +5 on checks to remember things and can make Expertise checks to answer questions about things as if I was trained in it.

Julia stops for a second in her tracks before breaking into a run in the direction all the faster X-men have already bypassed her, "Read again, did you say Von Doom? As in Victor Von Doom, aka Dr Doom? Oh dear, we're in quite a pickle even if this is a simulation. I suppose the Professor likes his trials by fire to be extra crispy." Her voice goes into teacher mode as she comms the important parts to the others, "Victor Von Doom is the leader or despot of Latveria, a small Eastern European country. One of the smartest men in the world, Dr Doom has a personal rivalry with Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four. With his custom made robotic armor, Dr. Doom has been witnessed performing amazing feats of strength and withstanding blows that could topple some skyscrappers. In addition, he possesses a wide range of defensive and offensive weaponry built into the suit. So don't go in half-cocked, please. We need a plan. Professor, any thoughts?"

"Catalyst is right. If this guy is that big & bad, we need a plan. Psyforce, lay it on heavy with that...psy...force, but wait until we're all assembled. I don't know how useful Twitch, Instinct and I will be at an offensive game, so we'll have to play defensively, keep him on his toes with distraction. Catalyst, any knowledge on how The Fantastic Four 's done it in the past?

von Doom. The name seems familiar, but I just can't place it. But that smell, that's some heavy duty machines.

Michael starts breaking out into a run, covering more ground a human would be able to.
Athletics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 (120/R, unshifted)

Wow, that's better than I thought you would be able to do. Everybody hearing me? We should try to use the mental connection over the comms when we can, it will give us an edge if he can't hear what we are doing. Kid, I'm probably better at offensive than defensive, but let's call that a last resort. We may want to try diplomacy first. Professor did say we should try to think of this as a real situation, and unless he actively is harming people, we should try to do this without bloodshed. So, uh, anybody think they can convince him? While they do, we can work on surrounding him.

Male Human mutant

Vincenzo missed the flash and explosion, but he got the call in his head and turned around by running up the side of a building.

New York traffic...

"Never heard of this character before."

Addressing Instinct: "Even with this dude wearin' metal? Damn, so what exactly can you do?"

Init +6(9)[12] | Claws (+5)[+8] Damage (+6)[+8] Penetrating (2)[4] 18-20 Crit | Defense: Dodge 2(5)[8] Fortitude 2(5)[8] Toughness 2(5)[8] Parry (5)[8] Will 4(5)[6] Regeneration 2(5)[10]

I, uh, turn. Into a beast. All power and instinct. Like a werewolf, but less hairy. And I am not allergic to silver, nor limited by the moon. Can't really control myself when I am it though, so like I said, let's call it a last resort.

"Are you sure you want to try to talk to him? Maybe I should just drop a car on his head and see if he is more open to talking then."

Init +6(9)[12] | Claws (+5)[+8] Damage (+6)[+8] Penetrating (2)[4] 18-20 Crit | Defense: Dodge 2(5)[8] Fortitude 2(5)[8] Toughness 2(5)[8] Parry (5)[8] Will 4(5)[6] Regeneration 2(5)[10]

If a fight breaks out, we'll probably end up destroying quite a bit of the area. Collateral Damage. We should at least try to prevent that. But first move to harm another, drop ten.

"Ok so....defense until we need that last resort. Keep his attention off of Psyforce until she can surprise with a force-pounding. Once she deals a good hit, we jump back and forth, picking at him. We gotta be sure to distract him, so we should hit him from different angles. Don't wolves do that? "

Addressing Psyforce:
Pft, talk to him? I doubt that's worked for the Fantastic Four. Alex, give him all you've got. Gimme a heads up and I'll help you anyway I can

AKA. Isabelle "Iz" White; 15YO;

We should try to surround him rather than be all bunched up. And I kind of stand out - you guys might be able to get closer if he's concentrating on me. Whisp sends mentally, I'll go round and see if I can draw his attention a bit. In a flash her blue form accelerates the brightness of photon-body increasing as she does so (up to rank 10), shedding full sunlight in a 15ft. space around her) and zips upwards and around "Doom" (keeping max distance from him within the confines of the buildings) and down the street past him about 100ft. Once there, she zooms upwards and then angles down towards the street, reverting to her normal form in a flash of blinding light behind a car.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 - never heard of him.

Catalyst is correct. Doctor Victor Von Doom is a dangerous adversary, and his role as leader of a foreign nation complicates matters as well. For the purposes of this initial scenario, I will be providing analysis and feedback only. I want to see what you are capable of without training.

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Commoner 2

Doom watches as Whisp flies around the area, momentarily distracted while everyone catches up. Something gives you the impression he is analyzing her energy form as he watches.

Whisp is probably relieved when she transforms back and is still wearing her uniform.

Male Human mutant

"I'll get around behind him," Twitch thought. "If I hit him full speed I can do some damage."

AKA. Isabelle "Iz" White; 15YO;

As Whisp lands and lets herself drop back to solidity, she lets out a breath, her whole body feels more.... alive. Quickly she checks to see that she's still wearing her uniform, relieved to find that she hasn't rematerialised naked. OK, so that's good! The people here may not be real but it still would've been embarrassing!. Carefully, she pokes her head around the car to peak at Doom,... Jeez, crazy costume! Don't suppose I can really talk but still,... a green cape? Hope it doesn't give Jackson any ideas, I reckon he'd love one of those!

"OK everyone. I think I got his attention! You should see this guy! - Major fashion feux-pas! Might as well have 'Bad Guy' stencilled on his forehead. I'm in position. Let me know when you want another distraction."

"Ok you guys distract him or do some hit and run attacks while I start levitating some cars to dump on his head. I'll give a shout at the moment to dodge away so you don't get hit."

Alex lands on the ground behind some form of cover, no longer flying and when her teammates start pulling chrome dome's attention she will start to lift the heaviest cars/vehicles/objects she can find and lift nearby to hover above his head. So she can lift 1600 pounds worth of cars/objects and drop that from a decent height, she can do that precisely

Should we roll initiative?

Julia shakes her head at the mental plans of attack.

Everyone take a step back for a second. If we start wailing away at this guy in the midst of a populated area there is going to be collateral damage. Those police officers have simulated families back in their simulated homes that will cry simulated tears if their daddy doesn't come home tonight. Doom is looking for the Fantastic Four, right? How bout we use that to lure him to a safe area before engaging him? I might be able to simulate a Human Torch look-alike at least from a distance.

"We are in the middle of NY, there is no safe place. Also, doesn't the torch fly? I can probably tell everyone nearby to get the hell away with my mental communication."

Let's get this placed cleared out and start actin' fast! We've got Whisp back there... Don't want him to get too close to her

Init +6(9)[12] | Claws (+5)[+8] Damage (+6)[+8] Penetrating (2)[4] 18-20 Crit | Defense: Dodge 2(5)[8] Fortitude 2(5)[8] Toughness 2(5)[8] Parry (5)[8] Will 4(5)[6] Regeneration 2(5)[10]

Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 Michael arrives on the scene, crouching behind a car opposite of Whisp.

Yeah the Torch flies, but you can lift her, right Psyforce? Tell everyone else to move, then lift a burning Catalyst up.

Anyone that can see Instinct will see he has a mischievous grin on his face.

Though you're right Psyforce, there's no where to go really. It looks like most of the people are running away and the cops have it surrounded with squad cars. I still think we should still try talking before this gets out of hand. We need to make a decision though. Talk, Fight, or Draw away.

"I am NOT lifting anyone up! I am not that confident with my abilities yet! What if I drop her!

And the bloody holograms aren't real so I can't tell them mentally to get to safety. We should just scare them with our powers and they should run off. This is a training, lets just try and beat this guy!"

Male Human mutant

"I can run around telling everyone personally to get clear, but that's not saying they'll go. Could grab people too, but I never tried that. Might hurt them...and my skin gets pretty hot when I move like this."

JEEZ YOU GUYS. OK, Instinct, go talk his metal ass off and we'll be waitin to pounce when it goes sour

Fine I'll talk to him. Surround him and be ready to attack if he does.

Michael stays behind the car, calling over it.

Okay, uhh. Crap. How do I do this?

W-We may be young, b-but are capable of taking you down. You have no idea what our abilities are and we have you surrounded. S-Surrender peacefully and you'll save yourself a lot of trouble.

Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 15

Smooth move, Ex-Lax

After Instincts wonderful little speech, Kid Wonder gets in a fighting stance with his fists held up in clear view.
"Listen, Doom: yeah we're kids, but we're kids willing to fight if we have to. Now how about you tell us why you're wreckin' stuff? Doesn't seem to be the kind of thing someone with a cape like that would be into, so what's the deal?"

[oo]Guess I am dead last, So I will wait until doom had his action.[/ooc]

AKA. Isabelle "Iz" White; 15YO;

Uhhhh, guys. Can we decide on something? I didn't like the way he was looking at me.

Delay until just after Doom.

You could always do a defensive action, not sure of the effect though.

I guess that's also a delay. :)

'i'm already hiding behind a car - not sure I can get that much more defensive.

Whisp peaks back over the cars roof, keeping an eye on what Doom is up to. "So, do we know anything else about this guy? Like what kind've weapons he has?

Surrender?! To children? I am Victor Von Doom, sovereign lord of Latveria. I do not surrender. Doom scoffs at Instinct. To Kid Wonder, he says You have no concept of Doom, child. Allow me to give you a taste of my capabilities.

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21 Doom unleashes a repulsor blast from his armor, striking Kid Wonder dead in the chest. Make a DC 20 Toughness check.

Toughness: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
if I'm not mistaken, I just got plastered. Hell yeah! Was kind of hoping for that first go.

AKA. Isabelle "Iz" White; 15YO;

Well that didn't go so well! Going to see what I can do... Whisp concentrates for a moment and feels her body shift. The form of her blue light erupts upwards from behind the car, turns in the air and streaks towards Doom,.. Here goes nothing As she approaches close to the green-clad figure she tries to focus her energy, pulling her body into a more concentrated streak of light which streaks forward and through his armoured form. On the other side of him she feels herself drop out of her light form, taking two steps and then reverting again to light, she streaks down the street, hoping to be out of range from any counterattack...

So I think I've got this right? - Move action to move within range (30ft.), Standard action to area attack (going with attack option), Move action with "Move-by-action" to 300ft. down the street.

So area effect = no roll from me, he has to make a DC 15 Dodge. If he passes then he makes a DC 17 Fort save, if he fails then a DC 20 Fort Save. - light energy attack

"That's it, diplomacy is out of the window. Here comes a car for doom!"

With that thought Psyforce lifts up a car and drops it on Doom from a large height.

Should I just use my telekinetic attack stats to roll? Btw this attack is after everyone elses since my initiative is low.

With the sound of Doom's repulsor blast ripping into Jackson, Julia ducks out of line of sight behind a car on the street. Panic starts to rise in her chest as she slowly begins to remove her right hand glove. Once her glistening flesh is exposed to the air, the chemicals leaking from her skin pores undergoes spontaneous combustion as Julia subtly alters the composition of the molecules in it. Hand ablaze, she concentrates and starts to form the fire up into a roughly man-sized funnel of flame. I hope this at least distracts him before someone ends up dead.

Should we wait for our initiative to declare actions or just go ahead? Not sure what best PBP practice is.

Yes, Psyforce, use your TK stats.

Twitch, yes, it's best to post when you can and let me sort it out.

Jackson!

Michaels blood boils at the sight his new friend grievously injured, angry at himself for being foolish and Von Doom for his insult and attack. He starts running over, heedless of the fact that this is a simulation and seeking only to protect Kid Wonder. His instincts kick in as the battle explodes around him. His heart starts pumping faster as adrenaline starts entering his bloodstream. Muscles start to grow, rippling under his uniform. His arms and legs lengthen, his claws extend from his finger tips. His jaw lengthens and broadens into a powerful looking maw, quickly filling in with sharp fangs. He releases a roar as he drops into a four legged gait. He leaps between Von Doom and Kid Wonder. What stands in front of Von Doom now is some bestial creature, still reminiscent of Michael, but his features twisted and warped to be lupine. He growls out defiantly.

Wrong. Choice.

Move in between Kid Wonder and Von Doom. Standard activate beast form.

Male Human mutant

Screw talking.

Twitch raced forward at full speed past Doom, lashing out with his fist as he passed...and running by Doom without making contact.

Dammit!

Move-by attack on Doom with Twitch Fighting.
Unreliable roll for full speed: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Attack roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 A one? Aw man...

AKA. Isabelle "Iz" White; 15YO;

"Hey guys, did you see that? Got him a good one!... Whoa!, check out Michael!" as she gains distance from Doom she angles downward and rematerialises near some policemen, her slight form blurred by the halo of light around her. Somewhat off-balance she staggers forward into the side of a car. Sheepishly, she looks up at the cops and blurts out "Hey guys, I think we got this covered but you might want to hide behind something!"

Planning on having Whisp rematerialise at the end of each movement turn - just for flavour and whilst she's untrained. She has partial concealment due to her concealment power.

Taking the blast square in the chest, Kid Wonder stumbles back a step before he drops to one knee. He watches, confused, as Whisp turns into a ball of light and Instinct transforms into a bestial state.
What the hell did you get me into, pops?
He shakes his head and concentrates on the task at hand
Whatever it is, I can do it. Gotta just get my head in the game.
As Instinct rushes to defend him, Kid Wonder creeps into a sprinter's starting position and then takes off running so that he can attack Doom from behind. His pain shows as he seems to have a limp while he runs

As he moves, he gives Doom a look over. His brain activity increases as more and more numbers calculate subconsciously. He gives a smirk, as if he might've figured something out.

Dazed, so a free and a standard action
Hindered, half speed
Standard Action: Move. Circle around Instinct and Doom, towards Doom's 7 o'clock if 30 ft allows it (unhindered movement is 60 ft)
Free Action: Assessment: Insight: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27

Oops! Forgot assessment was a secret GM roll, and I can't edit my post. Ignore that part. My insight is at +16

TK attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

A small car and some rubble around it begins hovering into the air, gaining speed. At once at about a height of 50 meters it stops and hovers there in place for a moment. Then increasing in speed it comes crashing down on Doom from above. You see the car crumbling as it hits doom and the ground (if Michael Bay directed this there would be an awesome explosion). (DC 23 to toughness I think)

Alex has a satisfied smile on her face.
"Let's see him get up from that!"

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Commoner 2

Doom watches as mutants attack, move, and surround him. As he watches, Psyforce smashes a car against him telekinetically. The car crumples against an invisible force field surrounding doom. (Between armor and force field at current setting, Doom has 16 ranks of Impervious Toughness, meaning your damage rank has to be higher than 8 to affect him with a Toughness effect.)

His reaction is swift and brutal as Instinct growls at him. He adjusts his armor's energy distribution and unleashes a mighty blast in Instinct's direction, much more powerful than the one he used on Kid Wonder.

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26 Toughness save DC 24 Required

Four so called-superheroes, six, or a dozen. It matters not. Doom shall prevail.

(Apologies-Doom was Dazed, not Stunned)

Kid Wonder:

Spoiler:
Doom's Dodge, Parry, and Fort are lower than yours, his Toughness and Will higher. Pick 2 of those that you know exactly what they are.
