"Follow Marcus!"


Marcus rushes down stairs in pursuit, with the rest of you hot on his trail.

This semicircular room is empty except for a few bookshelves against the walls and a single desk and chair sit in one corner. A huge set of wood and metal double doors stands in the south wall.

Th cultist yells about intruders as he rushes down the stairs, and turns to fight once he gets to the bottom.

In the basement you see a tiefling dressed in clothing. Once he sees Marcus he stares at him in a malevolent fashion.

DC 16 will save or Marcus falls asleep.

You didn't look at the map did you?

You are going down a curved set of stairs into the basement. There is no way to do a charge attack. At the base of the stairs is the guard who came downstairs to warn the tiefling.

You can smack the guy at the base of the stairs though. That is enough to make him collapse in a heap.

However he did have a readied action, so he will try to do something before getting splatted.

then he goes down.

We need to figure out cool actions for what happens when we miss, like Tanrov sees the bad-guy move and ducks just in time as the scimitar swing continues past where it should have hit the bad guy and in line with Tanrov's head. We seem to do this miss thing alot.

In a shocking coincidence the key unlocks the door.

This semicircular room has been outfitted with numerous demonic decorations. The green glass lanterns hanging on the walls give the room an eerie glow. A brazen minotaur head hangs from one wall above an altar covered with wavy-bladed knives and curved bulls’ horns, while star-shaped symbols in red decorate other walls. A large wooden chest sits near the west wall.
