I have also Riftwarden Orphan trait into my character's backstory, and none of the other traits quite fit my character concept, and unfortunately my character is also a different race then phntm888's (though they could still technically be half siblings I'm not sure if that works and I might still have to change my character's backstory. I'm willing to work with phntm888 if necessary to figure out something that works for everyone.
I don't know what the best way to deal with this is. I'm not at all familiar with the plotline or how much work it might be to redo it.
I am also not familiar with third party material, again mew to Pathfinder, only have a few Pazio books).

Okay, so since I've played through book one before, I can give you the low-down.
Basically, your campaign trait is *kinda* important to your character for two reasons:
One: you get a really nice bonus for taking the mythic path that aligns with it, on top of the already nice bonus it provides.
Two: there are story elements in the campaign that have to do with the events that tie to those campaign traits. Certain characters will react to you differently, or you might have history with one or two down the line.
As for the Dreamscarred press psionics, they're basically a copy-paste of the 3.5 psionics, with a few balance issues addressed. I prefer the Occult classes, personally. Their path of war is a copy-paste-retexture of the book of 9 swords from 3.5 too. However, they've done a lot to make that content their own.
Overall, the big issue with 3pp in this AP is that some/most of the mythic features just don't account for the classes. Hell, the reason I'm taking the Stolen Fury/champion path is because I don't want the headache of trying to get a mythic occult caster since they have a different kind of magic and therefore Archmage/Hierophant are both useless.

To add a bit more information (hopefully without spoiling too much): In later parts of the AP, there will be something called "Mythic trials", special quests relating to the campaign traits. So let's say two players share the same trait, the problem might arise that the related quest only makes sense for one of the characters (as long as you didn't follow the Player's Guide advice).
I think I can handle it by reworking the unused trials or inventing new ones so that no player character automatically misses out on the reward. This way, you wouldn't be forced to change your background, especially not in a way, you probably don't like.
And just to get the 3pp-related discussion in the right direction: I wasn't even thinking about psionic or Path of war stuff. But there are 3PPs out there adding to the Mythic rules with their own products (just as an example, there is a book written by Owen K.C. Stevens for Rogue Genius Games with the name "Mythic Options: The Missing Core Feats", where all those feats who didn't get the mythic treatment by Paizo are listed in their mythic version. Or all the stuff from Legendary Games (written by people like Clark Peterson, Nicolas Logue, Rich Pett, Neil Spicer, Jason Nelson, just to name a few). They do some good stuff especially designed to be easily plugged-in in an AP.
I'm also not talking about changing things for changes sake. But if I happen to find something interesting (be it a feat, a magic item or monster), I'd like to use those things, because I will have to adapt the encounters anyway (we're playing with 6 people instead of 4).
So things like that; little things you won't find in the Mythic Adventures book or the related campaign setting and Companion books, things that add to the theme of the AP.

I find Owen's material to be pretty great, and he had this huge sale of all his books for only 30 bucks a few weeks ago so I have everything he'd done (like... seriously, it's a ton).
I'll have to go through his stuff again and see if he had mythic occult options, cause I'd like to consider that if it's possible (and I get chosen for the game, of course)

Sandt and his parents were supposed to be from Sarkoris but with the World wound all but destroying their native country hundreds of years before they were just a group of displaced people who lived outside of Kenabres. His parents always being spiritual but never being ones to take up the Inheritor after the death of Aroden. His family turned to the Shelyn the Goddess of Art.
Sandt had a knack for being a focal point for those who had died, they could speak through him and impart some knowledge lost to the Demons. With this He learned of the great arts and music and festivals that were once held in Sarkoris. The more he learned the more the spirits told him, the harder it became to him to be this focal point and not to search out the lost art and beauty that was once held in Sarkoris.
Armasse was a festival that Sandt and his family regularly attended because they might find others who were descendants of those from Sarkoris. They also attended for the music and the shows that took place, Sandts mother loved to paint and to look over the new art pieces that were brought in, some of these were a bit harder to swallow because they were "Military" arts of the Great Crusaders Killing demons but Sandts mother always told him art was art.
After she and Sandt had wandered off during the Festival they heard the Explosion and all went dark as the ground below their feet opened up.

I have no problem with 3PP. I won't use it myself since I don't own much and the stuff I do have doesn't fit but I've got no issues with it in principle.
Another thing of course is to not worry about tracking mythic trials and just tier us up whenever you feel is appropriate, that way there's less difficulties with the fluff and people can take similar traits without too much worry.

If we both get in, we can find a way to make it work. Or, we just both happen to have parents who died on Riftwarden missions.
If it comes to it, Kendren could probably work as a half-elf. I'd just have to sacrifice a feat and a skill point, and choose another language (since Elven would now be free). If I give him the Round-eared alternate racial trait, he doesn't lose the skill point. Heck, we could even have a "long-lost brother and sister" theme to it so neither of us has to change our backstory.
Knowing their mission was dangerous, the two Riftwardens split their twin children up, giving one to a family friend, a scholar named Magda, in Kenabres, and sending the other off to Brevoy with an aunt and uncle. To protect him, the son was given the mother's original last name, so no one would automatically connect him with them.
Alternatively, I can change the last name in the alias, since it has fewer than 10 posts.
There are ways we could make it work if we both got in, is what I'm trying to say.

Reading your posts, I feel like I'd better let the sleeping dogs lie. :) So just to make this clear once again:
While I really appreciate your willingness to work together, I don't expect you to conform to any perceived pressure from my side. It's your characters after all, and I'd rather change the campaign to enable you to play the character you want to play then vice versa.
Apart from that, I started with looking at the crunch of your characters so you'll get feedback or at least a short comment about that, as I come to it.

Here's a little more about Uldir personally; all that remains is his Appearance & Personality section! I've got a few loose ends in there that could easily be turned into plot hooks or not as you prefer.
Traveling as he was with a heavily armed convoy of dwarven crusaders, Uldir's travels through the River Kingdoms and Numeria were dull and uneventful, and the company arrived in Nerosyan without incident in late summer of 4711 AR. Uldir was assigned to work as an assistant quartermaster in the border town of Kerrik; he threw himself into his work with gusto and gained a reputation as a fastidious bookkeeper and incorruptible steward of the crusade's war materiel. Alas, in the winter of 4712 tragedy struck. A force of demonic cultists assaulted in numbers during one frigid night--the demon worshippers worked a terrible magic that blanketed the town in a sickly miasma. All those killed within rose as hungry ghouls, and Uldir was lucky to fight his way free with a small force of crusaders--though the sickly poison of the demonic mist seeped into Uldir's very bones and he collapsed less than a mile from the dying town. Carried to safety by his fellow soldiers, Uldir lingered for weeks on the edge of death; were in not for the unquenchable spark of Jyurdolkur within him he would surely have perished. The next several months were a dark time for Uldir, as he struggled to regain his strength and put behind him the horrible memories of Kurrik's fall--and the nightmares that had plagued his sickly sleep.
In time, he reported himself fit for duty, and was ordered to report to Kenebres to reprise his role as quartermaster. He has resided in the city for the past two months, slowly warming up to his role, and looks forward to the upcoming holiday.
If chosen, I'll expand his more recent history to include friends, enemies, & acquaintances in Kenebres & elsewhere, but for now I don't want to TL;DR anyone.

            Background
It was not easy being me. The nightmares that plague my sleep even now... confronting nightmares in the flesh torment me still. Only vague shadows remain of the truth of that first night, and even those I question... Still I am here because of these terrors, and perhaps here I shall find my salvation.
I remember the smell of blood, and the sound of vile chanting. I remember the dancing shadows taking on grotesque shapes in the light of the sacrificial flames. I remember my mother taking up my two year old body in her arms whispering words of "comfort" as she carried me towards the cold stone alter. I remember my fear as both she and my father abandoned me on that cold stone slab. And the piercing glowing eyes of the man in black as he approached my tiny form, with the gleaming black serpentine dagger in hand. The whispering words he spoke as he neared coiling in my mind like leather clad snakes writhing against each other. Then my memories desert me.

My next clear memories are of the stern rod of discipline and the angry glances of the nuns in the orphanage. Though funded by the church of Asmodeus the generous funds mostly ended up in the pockets of the priests, instead of the pots of the orphans. I was a big kid even then, and often my temper got the best of me. I was found as often scouring cook pots or scrubbing floors as I was in my bed or in lessons. But, it was ensured that I never missed a lesson extolling the power and glory of the church, and the superiority of the faith. I was a Chelxian and by birth superior. As I grew, and my fists hardened the bullying and name calling subsided, but by then I had learned to use force to get what I wanted before it got me first. Friendless, and bitter I took advantage of an inattentive nun, and bashed her on the head with my learning slate, and took off into the streets of Westcrown, never to cross the threshold of that church again.
I craved the freedom of the streets. As a strapping lad of 14 I thought I had all the answers, and spent much time convincing those who disagreed with me that that was not necessarily a wise stance. But you know what they say about idle minds. Without the exhausting toil, and structure of the church, the nightmares came... frequently and with increasing strength. My eyes grew dark, along with my reputation, until I found true salvation... The bottle. With enough of it's fiery contents I was able to numb my mind and hide from the images that haunted my sleep.
For years I wondered the streets, stealing, mugging, working short term labor gigs... whatever I could to keep the demon rum flowing. I lost count of how many people I hurt, and learned to not really care. It was all about escaping into the sanctuary of the bottle where I could lock my mind away, at least temporarily from the demons that tormented me. At times I grew careless, almost hoping to be caught for a good meal. Countless times I tried to convince myself that "This was the last time. I've got to clean myself up". But then the nightmares would return, and Alfred the Black would once again seek out the respite of the bottle.
Then I met Father Pathon. He was a priest of Cayden Cailean. Instead of pitying or fearing me, he understood me. He realized that though his god promoted ale and good times, he also understood the other side of the coin, and that for some abstinence was vital to our survival. He found a place for me in the recovery program of his church, and I found that by refocusing on removing evil and bad influences from existence I could learn to fight my personal demons, even as I fought and learned to deal with the real demons that plagued our world. Crooked shopkeepers, those that hurt animals and weaker people for fun, Slavers, and those who took away our freedom to act and do as we liked. Those became replacements for my inner demons, and I was able to successfully redirect my rage.
And now the ultimate test. To the Worldwound. To where demons strove to take the world and make it's reality like that of my nightmares. Here was my chance to redeem myself for the pain and suffering I had spent my life projecting on others. Here was my chance to make a difference. If I died trying to alleviate the world of these problems... Well then... So be it. I'd take as many of those bastards with me as I could.

Still have to look over most crunch sections, but with the fluff alone I've already had a lot of fun just to read them and to imagine what their role during the events of the AP could be. I fear this will be a hard decision to make. Which probably is a good thing :)

Ok, I share the sentiment and also don't want to wait till motivation dried out.
Now tomorrow I'm on stand-by duty, which means in my case that I have to work from 9:30 a.m. to the late evening (around 11:30 p.m.) and then have to stay at the hospital until the next day (7:00 a.m.; all time dates in CET/UCT+1:00). So I hope that I can finish looking over your stat blocks on sunday or monday at the latest.
I'm also still waiting for two of the applicants entrys (though I've got the feeling that I might only get answer from one of them). This said, I'm setting the deadline at Tuesday, 20:00 CET to make my decision. Just hope that I will have gotten the rights for this campaign; Ioliare was so nice to dot the respective threads though, so if it takes too long, we still could start the game, when we're ready. No matter what, I'll post my decision in this thread and also PM you about. I'm also willing to give you a hort feedback on why I did or did not choose you, if you want to have it
By the way, you've already made this a difficult decision for me. Thank you for that, because it means that your entries are well-created.

I looked over Iolaire's character and I see that her and Sabrina are very different types of Paladins.
Sabrina is much more soldier like. I think there is no worry of "stepping on toes"
Also GM, If you have any questions let me know. I can adjust whatever you need.
Iolaire is going more down the fluffy healing and redmeption line. Sabrina would probably bring much needed pragmatism to Iolaire's optimism. We could have polite disagreements about who gets all the shiny paladin toys! :D

Hah, now you made me reread the thread to find out if I had said something like this :D (found it, by the way)
In fact, I'm not too worried about it. We also have two sorcerers and should I decide to let both in, I'm sure they can work something out to complement eachother (goes for any other combination of potentially similar characters as well). But I don't want to give any impression that I might already have made my mind up about it, because I haven't. Everyone's still in, as far as I'm concerned :).

| Phntm888 |
Might as well include the Arcanist in with the two sorcerers for spell selection choices if multiple arcane casters get in, since I pull from the same spell list they do.
Fortunately, it should be easy enough for us to coordinate that, especially after we pass level 1. There are enough spells out there we can cover our bases, I think.

Woah, that's a big party...
LOL, I once played in a home game with twelve players. Luckily most of the time, we were not more than 6 or 7 people at a given date, because the room we were playing in would have been way to small for everyone ^^.

Please don't misinterpret it as a bad sign, it's just me not being fast enough. Kendren Nollt (Phntm888)

I'll follow up with a short explanation of what my thoughts about choosing the characters were. But first let me take the time to give a big thanks to all participants. It was awesome to see your character suggestions and your willingness to cooperate with me regarding my suggestions or comments. I had a really hard time choosing and there was no character I wouldn't have been interested in seeing in the game. So I hope those of you whose characters I didn't chose aren't to disappointed because in the end, I had to make a cut. I didn't decide against any single one of you, but I had to decide for someone.
Originally my plan was to simply keep those characters I had most interest in but that plan collapsed as soon as your characters started coming becaus it was soon clear, that they had all something for it. I also found that your stat block supported your character background very well, so no matter how relatively powerful some build might be (or not), it fitted your vision. And with all I've heard about the Mystic AP, a lack of PCs probably shouldn't be a major concern anyways.
Problems started in fact as soon as I thought about the sixth slot of the roster. There were pros and cons for every possibility (I'll go a bit more into detail in my feedback PM you'll get soon), which in return might influence my choice for characters at the first five slots. In the end I decided to go with something which is dear and near to my heart namely giving new(ish) players an opportunity to partake.
So congratulations to all who made the cut, and a heartily „Well Met!“ to those who didn't. Hope we'll get the chance to play together at another time.
And I'll extend the invitation I gave to some late comers to everyone of you. If you're interested and in the future an opportunity should come up, I'll send you a PM before doing an open recrutation.
Cheers, Wormy
